Hi guys :) I am trying to write a program for a world generator but I have quickly come to the realization that I have not thought of everything :p
So! I come here to loot the minds of all the excelent GMs and world builders here on these forums :)
My goal here is to write a list of as many different aspects of nature that we can think of, and then split them into rough catagories.
Note for this particular thread I am only searching for natural, non-animal objects/organisms. Rocks, plants, trees, clouds are ok. Rabbits are not. Neither are man-made objects, like statues.
I am going to split them into 3 general catagories, Earth, Sea and Sky.
For example;
Earth might include;
•Rocks
•Trees
•Caves
And then you might further classify it like this;
•Trees
--Elm
--Oak
--Redwood
----Ancient, dense forest
•Rivers
•Lakes
•Oceans
•Waterfall
•Gysers
•Day
•Night
•Clouds
•Lightning
•Rain
You can also add in some extra detail or a short blurb if you wish, to give me more ideas. An example;
•An old oak tree, with the initials of me and my first love carved into them.
And then I would include a tree with a little carving engraved into it :)
Lets see how successful this is and Thankya Kindly everyone! ^_^

I'd advice you to take a good look at the 2nd edition planescape setting, for a general thought of things you probably haven't thought of. Like locations with subjective gravity, places where all of nature is extremely huge, clockwork worlds, the astral, the ethereal, and the shadow planes, and so on and so forth.
Also, in pathfinder, please consider the oddity of mindscapes and demiplanes.
Last but not least, be sure to spell-check EVERYTHING. Gyser, for example, is spelled geyser.
