familiar level stacking

Rules Questions

if one were to say go wizard and get a familiar and dip into another class that has a familiar would their levels stack for determining familiar level or would you get 2 familiars?

what about a person who goes sorc/bloodrager and picks up a bloodline familiar?

You stack them together.

nice so i don't need boon companion

I think you could get 2 familiars if you wanted to, though. If a cavalier dips into druid, you can pick the mount as the druid's companion and the levels stack. You can also pick something else and have both the cavalier's mount and the druid's companion without the levels stacking.

Although, I've never made a familiar so I could be wrong.

I general, you can't get more than one familiar. But there are things that aren't quite familiars that make things complicated, like the tumor familiar.
