Vehicular Overrun / Bullrush

Rules Questions

I was reading them both and they don't seem to clarify what exactly happens if the combat maneuver check for the vehicle that performs any of the actions I mentioned fails.

I found another thread that asks the same question, but there was only one answer that was basically saying "the vehicle continues move anyway without doing damage" without giving a reason why.

I know that vehicles can move into a creatures square if it's bigger, but it also says it's required to do an overrun/bullrush. I read that if the overrun succeeds, it moves through the creature and deals damage, which by that wording makes me believe that if it fails it does none of that.

The bullrush maneuver is written in the same way, so I didn't mention it with overrun.

I would quote sections of the vehicle's rules, but doing all that on a phone really sucks, sorry.

Just to clarify, all I want to know is if the vehicle has to stop in its tracks or not if it fails its overrun/bullrush attempt and why.

Bump

So what, nobody knows anything about vehicles at all or something?

So yeah, apparently everyone's knowledge on how vehicles work in this game is so limited that I can't even get so much as an opinion. Yeah, so helpful. Whatever, I'm going to, like I'm sure everyone else is, going to just pretend this topic isn't even here.

The Exchange

I guess use the mount rules. They have clock work mounts.

I'm currently running Lords of Rust (Iron Gods AP 2), and this is going to come up— it hasn't yet, but it will. Based on the reading of vehicle overrun, and regular overrun, it seems like if the victim doesn't choose to avoid and the overrun fails, the vehicle stops. This has pretty bad consequences for the vehicle's driver, btw.

My follow up question is what do the rules mean by "any part of the vehicle?" Do you make an overrun check for the propulsion and the vehicle (horse and chariot), or for every single square of the vehicle (2 for the horse, 3 for the heavy chariot)?
