There. Submissions has been re-formatted, it will be put to other use later.
I left the relevant information incase it is needed (such as if someone drops) but I have no idea how long the information will stay there, long term :)
PS: curse Paizo and its inconsistent formatting >:( apparently it gets really wonky once you start combining hyperlinks within headings and embedded spoilers. :/
That and quotes/ooc's tend to get impropperly displayed half the time ^_^

Good luck to you too! I confess I was hoping to be in with you and your awesome arm as well, but alas 'twas not to be... Nonetheless, I wish you a fun time, all of you!

And this is not to say that I do not love my current team; I am very much looking forward to this dynamic. I especially wonder how many lead sheets our resident reptilian rapscallion will go through with a Detect Evil SLA on the party. :D

@Shadow: For Eberron, would you allow the Double weapon Finesse feat from Path of War?

Double Weapon Finesse (Combat)

You have mastered ways to take a double weapon and turn it into a spinning majesty of deadly grace.

Prerequisite(s): Proficiency with one or more double weapons, Two-Weapon Fighting, Weapon Finesse.

Benefit(s): While wielding a double weapon that you are proficient in, you may treat both heads of the weapon as light weapons for the purposes of the Weapon Finesse feat and for Two-Weapon Fighting. You also receive a +2 competence bonus to CMD when using a double weapon.

I'm messing around with the idea of an Unchained Rogue that uses a Zulaat.....

Approved.

Due to the unreliability of the website lately, it will take me a few days to finalize selections for the closed Recruitments. Thanks for your patience.

Just choose me for Rise :P

Now that I have access to all my Faerun books, my curiosity about the FR game is growing.

What type of game will this be? Can you give us a minor blurb of what sorts of things we can expect?

I must ask however, why before the time of troubles? The most readily available info is obviously much more recent(3.0/5 era), and thus allows us more to work with for character building.

Levels 1 - 5 will essentially be a prologue. The game starts in 1357 and will fast forward to 1372 by the time the group is 7th or 8th level.

I can't give much of a blurb on expectations without risking plot so the above is all you'll get... well, except one PC MUST be a Cleric of Cyric starting Level 1.

Heh, interesting little tidbit there Shadow, especially since I am currently considering playing some sort of Baneite...

Oh have you met young Xenos Mirrormane? A devout young follower of Bane?

Added a brief background to Electric Eye's profile.

I'm planning on playing a cleric so I can volunteer. Maybe after the events of the time of troubles I could become cynical to cyric and have a change of faith ( need to anyways for my PRC).

Ba dum, Tshh !!

I have been reading up on FR to refresh and focusing on Zhentil Keep and the Moonsea in general. I won't spoil anything, but a lot happens concerning Zhentil Keep during and after the time of troubles. The same goes for Bane and Cyric.

Yeah I've read some of the books in the past and played for a bit in FR. So I have a bit of an understanding of some of the events that unfold.

Should be fun, I just need to figure out which desert I will come from.

The closest desert to Zhentil Keep is Anauroch, it's local nomads are the Bedine ethnicity of humans.

I was thinking of the anauroch originally, might say calim. I'm sure zhent is always looking for able bodied men for their purposes.

Well Calim is the smallest desert. I guess you could have taken a ship from Calimport or Memnon through Asavir's Channel up the Sea of Swords, up the Sword Coast to Daggerford. Then taken the trade route over the Black Road to get to Zhentil Keep.

That's a lot of travel. Personally my guy is only going as far as the Sword Coast.

It's going to be a long shot but I have the area where my character would be come from and where the Dusty Conclave would hail from.
The Plains of Purple Dust, a very dangerous desert fill of all sorts of terrible creatures and nomadic tribes.

That's more overall distance but with direct waterways to the Moonsea that could very well be a shorter trip. Mind if I ask what your general idea is? I'm thinking a desert fighter of some sort of desert cavalry type. :)

That works, waterways can be very dangerous. Not sure what lives in the Moonsea.

I don't mind at all, thinking of playing a desert priest/nomad. That stumbles into the faith of Cyric. My plan is to eventually take the walker of the waste PrC to become a drylich. My cleric will do some healing as well as battle cleric duties.

Note that as the game opens, you would be attracted to the worship of Bane...

*Placeholder name* is a simple man, he's willing to jump faiths and offer new allegiances when it benefits him.

Also If I remember from Ed Greenwood, most citizens are polytheists. So I could worship both for different aspects. Only getting spells from one mind you. But if you need a cleric of Cyric, I will be your man. Until I need to get into my PrC, then all that goes out the window. :)

Also are you allowing us to take regional feats/traits?

Oh their is plenty of danger using the waterways to get to the Moonsea. To name a few, you pass by red wizards and pirate islands without going into to much detail. :D

Again slight spoiler warning, but ....

Spoiler:
the year Shadow has made our starting point. Cyric can not be worshiped yet, but Bane can. So you can convert if and when you feel the need to. ;)

So your goal is to become drylich. I think your PC would get along fine with mine. He is not looking for an undead existence, at least not if he can help it. But he is not opposed to the idea if it comes to it. He's accepting that way. :P

Spoiler:
Opps I forgot still a mortal, excuse me for the mix up. I should do more reading. I must of when blind when storyteller said this, "...except one PC MUST be a Cleric of Cyric starting Level 1."

Interesting, if you don't mind me asking. What's your character plan?

Still brainstorming but the basics are that my PC will be a mage aiming to become a Zhentarim Skymage among other things. I even have a exotic mount in mind, getting it may be a bit tricky but that's part of the fun. Anyways he will fully take advantage of everything the black network has to offer, and they have much to offer. Looking to earn a high position in the organization, he has no desire to rule it. But rather use it for his own ends. Which I will keep to myself for now, due to not nailing them down yet/needing approval from Shadow when he starts up recruitment. x)

Sounds fun, I would love for someone to be a red wizard. Not necessarily the PrC. Speaking of fun, we need to seek out another drylich to perform the ritual on me. So traveling into a desert full of blue and brown dragons, nomads, mongrelmen and purple worms. What could possibly go wrong? ;)

Well the Zhentarim and Red Wizards are rivals and enemies. So I doubt you will see any inside the Keep unless we are killing or capturing them. As for your seeking out a drylich, at that level with teleportation/flying magic or a flying mount it won't be such a problem. After all you won't get to that point until 14th or 15th level depending on things.

P.S. We could always bring the drylich to you. I mean we may get lucky and they are walking outside when someone has the brass to teleport snatch them half way across the world to a perfectly tra...prepared room. After all we are not nice people, just effective ones. ;P

Probably best not to piss off a powerful undead caster that can turn us into dried husks or pillars of salt. Then again, Manshoon might just find that to be interesting. Plenty of wealth and subjugation in the name of Bane and Zhentarim. I heard purple worm eggs and their poison is worth a fortune on the market.;)
*salutes to Zhentarim.*

Soooo I'm guessing we are still waiting for the Gunslinging Wastelands RP to start...?

What the heck is Wastelands anyway?

Wastelands isn't starting until after Father's Day.

Wastelands wrote:

Setting & What Not

I am seriously considering starting at Level 2 but have reached no firm decision on that yet. I may also create a few new traits related to the Wastelands to the west created by the events of the IronFang Invasion. I may even draw on Deadlands for inspiration here.

To Reiterate: A brief explanation of the setting as I am envisioning it. Guns are Advanced because we have move 50 years into the future of the Timeline.
The events of IronFang Invasion led to a destructive explosion that wiped out Nirmathas and caused great devastation to the surrounding lands. This explosion in turn freed the Whispering Tyrant from his prison.
The burgeoning Kingdom of the Freelands (Kingmaker) recognized the dangers as the Orcs commanded by the Tyrant once again invaded much of Ustalav with what appeared to be the intent of heading even farther east. The new Council journeyed into Numeria seeking weapons with which to combat the evils of the Tyrant now that much of the strength of Lastwall was spent. There they discovered that Firearms could be produced on a mass scale, if the investment was made.
With the aid of the King of Brevoy the furnaces began to churn out firearms and gunpowder on a massive scale. These weapons turned the tide and pushed the invaders back into the Hold and the Gallowspires. This did not of course come without great loss of life and resources and was a long struggle which ended only recently.
Then the creatures came... invaders from Numeria into the Freelands. Another war the young Kingdom could not afford. With the heroes who founded it old beyond their adventuring years, they will need new heroes to aid them and investigate why their neighbors from the north are invading and if they are not, what exactly is taking place.
First of course, they will need to clear out the creatures that have come south looking for trouble...
That will be more concise and detailed as we get closer to game starting but there is a rough draft of the current world as the PCs will have experienced it.

You know about the Forgotten Realms game, I just noticed something. Sense we start out at 0 level everyone is going to be young. Human for example before picking up a class their 15 or 16 years old, depending on the class. Everyone's going to be a teenager. O.O

Oh the dramatics and angst that await us all! xD

"But manshoon who will I take the Bane ball?"

"You're not my real dad!"

Yep that's the idea :-)

Speaking of which, would you allow us to use races from the 3.5 but converted?

I had an idea to play a human which wouldn't need it or something bit more complex like an orog or a tanarukk. I really like races of faerun.

Right, so... I'm interested in the Eberron game. I have the basic mechanical info, although I'm unclear what background skills are. Beyond the basics, is there any info on the nature of the campaign itself, so I can mesh a PC concept with it?
Storyteller Shadow wrote:

Hi Aubrey, the campaign started with a group of disparate characters who were heroes either of the Last War or of an airship disaster all down on their luck. They accepted a job as mercenaries and found themselves in the bowels of Sharn retrieving an ancient artifact for House Cannith.

The job was complicated by the appearance of another mercenary group also claiming to be working for House Cannith.

The complication was resolved by House Cannith itself. However, a few members of the group went missing after having agreed to head back to the city to inform the Watch of the presence of the Lord of Blades.

The group spent the next few days trying to find their missing allies. They were informed by a member of the Watch that there may be a lead to the whereabouts of their allies (and a relative of one of the PCs) in the COGS. The group is about to seek that lead out. Another PC not affiliated with the group (but is about to be) is heading to the COGS as well to work for an Inquisitive.

New PCs will either: (1) have a missing friend or relative leading them to the same hook, or (2) be mercs looking for work leading them to the same hook.

Although it's really minor in the grand scheme of things, this Eberron campaign seems to be a "year zero" type of deal in that much of the background matter has yet to be revealed; As an example, both tables only just found out about the Five-nationwide threat posed by the Lord of Blades not that long ago. :)

Not to rain on your parade, but those two monstrous races have level adjustments. Which in PF terms would mean very high race points. Most everything in Races of Faerun has a PF equivalent if maybe a different name.

At a glance those two would easily be close to drow noble terrain if not well beyond it, while tanarukks are CL 8 monsters without class levels due to racial HD. Orog have the same problem with racial HD if not as huge a gap, d20PF already has a conversion you can look up for them. I would suggest a RP reskinned orc for Orog, sense their just powered up orcs. While a tanarukk can just be a teifling with orc blood, sense PF points out not all planar mixed races are purely with humans. If you really want to make a demonic orc then pick up the helf fiend template during the evil adventure before going lich, wouldn't be the first in the realms. ;)

If the DM allows of course.

This I'm fully aware of. I would tone it with down, with dm approval. Pathfinder is generally a little more powered than 3.5.
I'd still be willing to make it work, remove a bunch of abilities half others.
Maybe even draft a few of the abilities into feats.

As for the drylich half-fiend, could be interesting.

Yeah I'd allow 3.5 Races. I would give you a 1st level skinned version of the Race. Moving forward you would either select a Race Level or a Class level to move upwards with.

Also, a this game will be 3.5 Epic on table top it will eventually be a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Mythic game as well.

Wow so many options, hmm sounds good. I'm use to racial classes since I ran into savage species. I could live with a tanarukk base race with a "Paragon class". I'm loving this high powered game, sounds like we're all going to become exarchs.

Although I'm dreading the idea of playing through the spell plague.

RECRUITMENT OPEN FOR Charles Dexter Warden's - STRANGE AEONS

Pathfinder rules.
25 Point Buy.
Start at 1st Level.

Class Restricted to Eldritch Godling. No really, don't ask about any other class, that's it.

Any races really I can make work here as long as it's not too high an RP.

Background Skills will be used.

Take Two Traits and One Drawback.

Recruitment will close on June 15th.

Super sad I have once again not gotten into a Rise game :(
