"I do declare! Savages! The lot of you! You never share your peacon pie recipe! You always keep it secret. All the scandal and shame on your family. The papers will hear about this ya'll mark my words! THE PAPERS!!! " he said in the proper old tyme southern voice
On the second part, since these savages want to share, you start with the crust already tin foiled wrapped, and you never ever check for an internal tempt. The mix is done when you can stick a fork through the crust in the middle, and it comes out clean. anything else and you need to bake/ ensure you mixed everything properly.

I made homemade chicken strips last night, but my wife didn't get a big enough container of panko bread crumbs, so I had to get creative with the last half.
Crushed croutons, pretty good but a pain in the ass.
Grapenuts, healthy, too crunchy, you gotta really season the chicken before coating because they don't have any flavor whatsoever.
Saltine crackers, sure wish I found these first, instead of when I only had four pieces left.

Hey, everyone. I know it's just a couple of weeks before my first anniversary here on the forums, but it's close enough. So I'd like to say a few things before I forget them. First off, I'm glad to have survived my first year on the forums, even if it's mostly just listening to others. I'd like to think that I've become a better Human Being just by listening to others with differing viewpoints and opinions. And I'd like to think that I've grown wiser in the process.
I'd like to thank everyone for being kind, caring, and compassionate towards me, a near total stranger. Not just about my recently diagnosed tumor, but everything else. Including my (still) unresolved grieving over the 1997 suicide of a brother. It means a lot to me, possibly more than anyone will ever know. Likewise, I've also shared in your joys and sorrows.
Each and every one of you, on this thread and others, has become like family to me, and I love you all. And this year, I'll not let my Birthday slip by without telling anyone.

Okay... Swede here. What is the difference between shrimp and prawn?
They're technically two different species, but in terms of cooking can be used interchangeably as they are nearly identical. The two species tend to get lumped together a lot too, with Americans generally using the term shrimp and English generally using the term prawns, which in either case can actually refer to either species. It's very confusing.

There used to be a beautiful plum tree in my back garden, it was a wedding gift for my parents, wonderful flower and nice fruit but they got infected with something very shortly after budding so you had to be choosie. It's been taken away now, makes me rather sad.
As to shrimps and prawns, they're different in some practically indiscernible way. That's basically my knowledge.

Still out here most time because I am spending almost all my free time drawing.
I am being kinda lucky with commissions which is cool, but drawing projects and promoting my art take most of my online time.
Today I have received a package from Paizo with something of my wishlist on it, which shocked me. That mean that someone here bought an awesome cthulhu pillow for me! Thank you so much, mysterious person! I love you so much whoever you are!
Now I am getting to the kitchen to cook it. Local festivities are this days and I ran out of oxtopus, so this will do!

I'm temporarily running a PbP until the GM has more time in RL. This is where I step up to the plate. For the team.

I know who it was.
No, it wasn't me.

I made Scotch eggs for the first time on Monday. Also the first time I got to eat them. I've watched with great envy as others ate them at renn faire because they looked delicious, but the breading meant I couldn't have them myself. So I made a gluten free version, which wasn't even difficult since I substituted oat flour and almond meal for the usual breadcrumbs. Turned out great. Very delicious. I reheated the leftovers for lunch today and surprisingly even reheated they were good. A lot of fried food doesn't do well for leftover so I was pleasantly surprised. Hurray for homemade junk food. :)
