I was tearing up parsley yesterday cursing over how quickly it grew to shade out the pepper plant, and then smelled my hands and came to the happy realization that it was a bunch of volunteer cilantro. That's one plant you can never have too much of.

Did you replant the Cilantro?

Mint and kudzu could take over the world if they worked together.

Purslane, don't forget the Purslane.

Someone willing to help me to name my unnamed Aasimar Angelkin Bard?
Serious names, might be mythological but nothing too obvious.
Things meaning "herald", "messenger" or similar things could be cool.
Any ideas?

Try this link: Pantheon.org

If has hundreds and hundreds of deities from several mythologies. I use the Mesopotamian and Egyptian ones a lot.

I just got back from running an errand for my mother, and I'm exhausted. I don't know if my lethargy is related to my tumor, or if it's something else. I'll go sleep for a couple hours. See everyone later.

Here is short article about Sothis (the Greek name for the Egyptian goddess Sopdet). She was the herald of the inundation of the Nile and symbolized by the stars of the night sky.

Sothis: Star Consciousness/Generosity/Bodhisattva

Sothis is a pure channel for divine love and wisdom. She rises into the night sky and pours forth her spiritual essence, stellar energies, and compassionate wisdom upon all beings. Through her willingness to offer us these precious gifts and guidance we are elevated to a greater understanding of our own soul’s purpose and the reasons we are here on Earth at this time. Sothis is the star of humanity, calling forth the best in each of us and inspiring us to step into our greater selves and offer our own unique gifts back to the world.

Makhfi?
Any of the trobairitz?

Iona?

Iona originates in Old Norse language and means "born on an island". It is derived from the name of a small island off the western coast of Scotland.

Many interesting ideas! I'm going to look them more in depth before choosing.

Expanding the concept a bit, she has the blood of an Astral Deva flowing through her veins and is focused on inspiration and motivation. As she is an Aasimar, I am going a bit for someone with a strong urge to motivate and lead people for the greater good.

Also, her physical design is loosely based on Marvel's valkyrie.

In that case, have you considered Inanna? Sumerian goddess of love, beauty, sex, political power, war... she is associated with Venus, evening and morning star...

She's awesome.

Yeah, but too many references of her in WoD, so I am too biased in my view of her.

Gwendolen, because why not.

Andraste, maybe?

Atalanta...

Gefjon or Blenda if you want to go Scandinavian.

Razia Sultana, because it just sound really really cool (and kind of like a band ^^).

Razia! I know about the historic person but made me think about the M:tG character. It's definitely an option that I might consider for having many meanings.

Atalanta is awesome, but we already have a character somewhat named after her, so I don't want to repeat (Rage of Atalanta is the name of one of Dal's Werewolf characters).

Scandinavian names are a real possibility, I really like the powerful sound of them and would go with her as she is loosely based on the Valkyrie (at least her looks).

Thanks for the neat ideas!

3 times? Seriously? You're making difficult to me to keep ignoring this suggestion xD

Amarantha is a big no. That name makes me think oh A hundred years of solitude, that I had to read for school.

Some interesting ideas in the other suggestions.

Joyeuse means joyful in French, doesn't it?

Good morning, everyone.

1). Until your character is named, all suggestions are valid.

2). You ask the same question three different places, you'll get the same answer.

3). You asked for serious names, I had no choice. :-)

You can always go with something Greek, they have the best girl names. :-)

Two places actually, but I get the point.

Oh right, the third time was because you haven't named them yet.

Mostly it's because I've had that line in my head for over a week and you presented the first opportunity to use it.

If you don't use the name I will. :-)

We can both do it... but I probably won't. I don't know the reference so it's not as funny for me xD

It's from Gravity Falls, the single best show Disney ever funded. :-)

I'm sure if you did a search for the name on YouTube you'll get the relevant clips. :-)

Youtube is pretty useless in my phone, so I cannot see most videos posted here.
My connection is pretty good at work but I cannot see videos there. But WiFi at home sucks (because it's borrowed from my father, who lives downstairs xD).

On the insurance front, it seems that the company switched providers a while back, and I simply fell through the cracks. Not a pleasant feeling.

Damn. I'd be raising hell about that.

How do they explain the money they deducted from your pay?

And, I found out why I fell through the cracks. My employer sent me last year, in a plain envelope, a letter telling me that the providers were changing. For something this important, you'd think that they'd make the envelope stand out more. But no. *sigh* Not for the first time, I feel like I'm dealing with a bunch of oblivious "droids." Well, I now have a place to start from.

They haven't yet. The hotline is "automated." >:(

It does. I always liked the word.

Amarantha was a play on the amaranth plant

There is a band called Amaranthine, too. I've used it as the name of an NPC healer once.

I also use plant names for characters sometimes.

Plant names for people? What a strange idea.

Stop stealing our names!

We gave you the names we can re-purpose them!

We give you oxygen and food... I guess that allows us to repurpose you too...

*Keeps implanting pinecones into people to grow pinecone duplicates of them*

You will serve us by allowing us to increase our ranks.

But we give you Co^2 and spread your plant seeds around! We have a fair trade already!

I, for one, welcome our new plant Over-ladies!

*Munches on a Pinecone*

I'm just sorry we don't make for better plant beds, as the only place where we're moist and warm, doesn't get much sunlight ^^

So wait do you eat the pine cones too implant them? actually I can't frankly think of any pleasant way for a pine cone to enter ones body.

Until now I have done it by replacing lost limbs... But I am open to any suggestions.

I've grown from Kileanna's pinecone feet.

Ok, Pineapples, not Pine Cones. But still.

Yeah pass on both.

Guess you haven't been a part of a smuggling ring, the experience "loosens" you up to these kinds of things...

*Clenches abdormen, which gives off growling sounds*

Hard pass.

I had heard about smuggling compartments but I didn't know they were something all mammals had. I knew about kangaroos, though.

You animals are such alien creatures.
