I have a recipe for an italian deep fried pizza but it's not like this abomination!
It's some sort of calzone and its dough is never baked but deep fried. It's actually a kinda good recipe.

I've got the feeling that I'll be extremely busy for a while. On the order of eleven hours a day, every day busy. One of my fellow guards quit, and the other may or may not show. I may not post as much as I used to. So forgive me for the delays in postings.
Do not worry my friend!, I shall do my best to steal those pesky extra hours.
Phantom Burglar away!

hmmm...uhhhh...ahhhh...
Am I wrong, in wondering about, what this really tastes like?
I actually would like to try it, even if its bad for me... .

I think whoever came up with this idea has a place waiting for them in the afterlife. It's the bad place, and their neighbors will be the people who make bad cheesecake.
That said, the calzone idea might have a bit of merit. But I think I still prefer my pie baked, thanks.

Today I'm doing Carbonara pasta. I'm not asking Dalindra because everytime I ask him about doing carbonara anything he says no, but whenever I do it anyway he enjoys eating it a lot and cheers that I have done it.
Carbonara pasta is a classic.
I have actually made a spin-off, with a mushroom cream sauce, because the person, I was eating with, couldn't stand eggs.

I love mushroom carbonara too. Today I just wanted a classic one, the only thing is that I replaced the cream for evaporated milk because it has great ressults too and I get a better digestion.

As promised, fried pizza!
It doesn't look a lot like pizza, but it was.
The recipe is called pizza fritta, and it's typical of Tuscany, if I recall correctly. Maybe Napolitan.

Okay, people. I'd like a show of hands. Everyone knows about the Gamemastery Combat Pad, right? The metal sheet you place magnets on, right? Who thinks that it's a good project to implement one in software?
RPTools put one out a few years ago, but I found that I prefered using a whiteboard... and then my amazing players chipped in and bought me the GameMastery Combat Pad.

My household seems to acquire ingredients that we don't end up using before they go bad. Our chest freezer is also full of odd cuts of meat and frozen fruits and vegetables. My wife suggested a weekly cooking challenge along the lines of the TV cooking show Chopped, where we put together three ingredients that have to be used in one dish: one from the freezer, one from the pantry, and one from the refirgerator.
Tonight's challenge: frozen meatballs, a can of corn hominy, two half-jars of pickled peppers, and a half-jar of South Carolina-style barbecue sauce.
By the way, last week's Chopped Challenge at the Haladir household went very well! I made hot, open-faced BBQ meatball sandwiches!
I diced an onion, sauteed that, then added the pickled peppers (diced), a can of diced tomates, the hominy, and the barbecue sauce. The sauce was a little too thick, so I added a little chicken stock. Once that came to a boil, I added the frozen meatballs, and let that simmer until the meatballs were hot all the way through.
I then made some homemade coleslaw with sliced Nappa cabbage, minced onion, grated carrot, olive oil, cider vinegar, and plain yogurt.
I served the hot meatballs in sauce over toasted Italian bread, then put some coleslaw over the top.
It was delicious!

Thanks, I hate omitting the important words :) Editing can be such a chore.

We'll miss you, John.
Today I had lunch with the aunt I lived with for many years. I was afraid but it went well.
We ate octopus xD
Look, It's not as if I'm disappearing entirely. Just my ability to post will be hampered until Friday. How am I posting now? From a tablet sitting in the neighborhood McDonald's having a morning tea. Say what you want about their food, but providing free WiFi is a plus in my book, even if it is for only thirty minutes.
Edit: And, I'm glad that the lunch with your abusive Aunt went well.

Edit: Uhhh smart thinking about using MD's free WiFi.
I always use the free WiFi in my job. As the hospital is outside my town it's the only way I can get my cell phone to stay connected.
Today it was a free day here (a local festivity dedicated to Galician literature) and I spent it, aside from having lunch with my aunt, in developing my creativity: I've been coloring Argentea, writing my S&S journal, writing a story for my bucket, preparing a session for WotW and starting to work in continueing 3 different finished campaigns! It was a complete day it seems.

I think I'll turn in early tonight, as I feeling very tired.
So night night (or the timezone equivalent) Hamster, john, vid, Cap, Cal, Kile, Lath, Curtin, Lyn and whoever else might be around in the thread.

I have a huge pumpkin in my kitchen that is still not food either. It has been there since summer when I moved here, so it is already a member of the family.
It is a special sweet pumkin that is used to make a pumpkin preserve that we call «angel hair». But this pumpkin's sister has already sacrificed itself to give me more preserve that I'm going to use in years so until now the other pumpkin is decorative.
Today I'm probably baking a blueberry and strawberry spongecake.

I'm on a creativity burst these days regarding to RPG, I've been working on like 5 or 6 different projects. I've been doing playlists, drawings, player handouts, writing down stories... and still I feel lazy when it comes to doing a couple of character sheets I got pending. The worst is that I know perfectly what I want to do with them, I just need to write them down. But whenever I decide to do it, I do something else. I have to learn how to focus.

Hopefully said cake will need to cool off on a windowsill, by an open window...
