An inquiry into the minds of players... which of these do you guys want to play?

Recruitment

Sovereign Court

FIRST:Curse of the Crimson Throne
SECOND: Legacy of Fire
Or Third:Kingmaker.

Now, I am fairly new to these campaigns and have never gotten all the way through them. I do however have decent enough knowledge to begin games.

For those of you that know me you know I usually allow some pretty strange things. But go now i want to do something normal(ish) and start on one of the classic adventure paths. Of course I will still not have many limitations.

First thing's first, the game. I will keep this thread up until Friday, letting you guys let me know what game intrest you most of the three.

Most likely I will make some changes to them, although I may also take interesting ideas. First and formost:no mythic or gestault for now, don't want to muddle the rule too much, although I may do a higher power game if you have some input.

And out of these three kingmaker gives me the most freedom to do as I please with you, but ibreally want to play legacy of fire.^-^ so let's start working!

Sovereign Court

General themes!
With the Crimson throne in looking for a dark and threatening theme as you slowly find stuff out. For those not familiar I won't spoil too much, but I'll be working alot with the more brutal elements.

With legacy of Fire I will indeed be grateful for planetouched, particularly the elemental ones, such as effrit and undine.jinn play a big part in the game.

As for kingmaker, the sky is the limit. After all it is mostly a sandbox game of it's own. Not much needs be said else ^-^

Dark Archive

I personally have always wanted to do Kingmaker but between not having a big group and me playing a character and GM at times never has happened.

I'm running a Kingmaker here on the boards, and I'd love to actually play in one that made it further than the first encounter, but so far it hasn't happened. Curse of the Crimson Throne is another I really love.

Sovereign Court

I'ed love to give Kingmaker another shot. I've joined two Kingmaker games and enjoyed myself playing my Noble Sorceress character, well until both of the games tanked that is.

I would prefer Legacy of Fire first then Kingmaker.

Honestly, Kingmaker with a twist would be fun.

If you've ever seen the anime GATE, a mystic gate opens up in down town Tokyo. A hoard of monsters invade and attack indiscriminately for about two hours (all orcs and humans, using swords and bows and such) until the Self Defense Force shows up with helicopters and machine guns and mow them down. Then the SDF builds a huge vault around the gate, and begins investigating in force.

Something similar to that would be good, say having the gate open up in NY or LA, with the National Guard responding to the invasion. The gate opening up in the wild lands, and the initial force's job is to open up a foot hold.

Only down side is they'd have to learn magic from the other side, so nobody could start as mages (although they rescue some mages fairly early on and gain some magic backup).

I would love to try a kingmaker campaign I have applied for several but haven't gotten one yet. If not kingmaker I think I would want curse of the crimson throne over legacy of fire, mainly just because know nothing of legacy of fire and a little bit about COTCT.

Ever since I built a Qadiran-born rogue for a wrath of the righteous game a while back, I've been wanting to try Legacy of Fire. It's also one I don't see recruited for often.

Kingmaker would be my first choice, but I've always been curious about Legacy of Fire as well.

Sovereign Court

Well honestly, I'd preffer Legacy of Fire ^-^ so votewize it starts with 5,

As for the others, kingmaker has 6 votes from you guys tieing it up with legacy for now, and at this rare it's gonna be kingmaker. Secondary votes go to legacy, except one which is going to throne.

@MDT: I like the idea, but then I have to factor in modern weapons and such.

@Brentol: legacy of Fire is like an Arabian game. Geneies and such. However the first book deals mostly with gnolls. I'm your opposite, I'm a little familiar with legacy but not to much throne.

@Everyone!!! Thanks for the intrest! Now I usually keep my recruitments short compared to other GM's so I'd start getting all your ideas early ^-^

Modern weapons really aren't that complicated. They're already in the book for the most part. They are fairly powerful, but that just means you can go wild with the bad guys. :)

For Legacy of Fire, I would likely try a variation on a dervish bard. Bard has long been one of my favorite classes, but I've never tried one of those, and it seems appropriate.

For Kingmaker, I am much more open... just off the top of my head, I'd be happy to try an Aldori dueling fighter, a priest or paladin (whichever seems more useful) of Erastil, a ranger, a bard... any of these are fine by me, and I am happy to narrow it down based on what others want to play.

I will flesh out some ideas.

Sovereign Court

Oops, legacy has 2 votes other than mine, putting kingmaker behind at 5 and Legacy at 7,

@MDT: sorry, but the idea of guns is gonna throw the whole game off the rails. As I said in my first post,I'd like to keep things kinda mellow, for pathfinder anyways.

How adverse would you be to someone who's running Kingmaker to also play in your Kingmaker game? I've got an Android magus that's set up for Kingmaker.

Sovereign Court

Ha! Well, seeing that kingmaker is a flexible game I wouldn't mind at all.

Legacy seems fun, tee bee eich.

I am always on the lookout for a Kingmaker game and will 100% apply if you go that route. I don't know enough about Legacy but it's probably awesome too. If that's what you really want to run then that's what you should do. I'm betting you'll get plenty of entries for either.

Sovereign Court

Well to be honest I think inwill run a legacy, but I wanted to see if there was intrest out there for it.

I vote Legacy of Fire. I'd love to see how elemental kineticists using planetouched races go there. Plus, I'm already in a game with Waz Up so sure, sign me in ;)

I have a dwarven ranger all ready for Kingmaker, but I'd be just as happy to go for Legacy of Fire.

Sovereign Court

If I run a kingmaker I think I'd do it with a "City Folk" group ^-^ meaning no wilderness based classes.

But I've desided I will do a Legacy of Fire game and add my own flavors in.

Heya Chess ^-^

Sovereign Court

Recruitment for legacy of Fire is up, but I may do a Kingmaker at a later time
