I think there are basically two options to handle the unseelie court: as an ideal or as a deity. In the first case, strictly by the rules, the player shouldn't gain an extra proficiency. In the second case, you'd have to put some extra work into outlining the deity (or better yet, let the player do the work). You could borrow the queen of air and darkness for inspiration. A hunting weapon should be fitting. If you feel generous, you could let the player pick a weapon from the druid's list of proficiencies.

Bows or other projectile weapons. Those ****s may make it hard to have a +1 cold iron melee, but they can't stop a +1 bow with cold iron ammo from working just fine. By the time you're up against the Tane, you should be packing Clustered Shots.
**** it, I'm in the wrong spot and just gave away my strategy!

Based on such a wide range of responses, you could break the court up into smaller groups such as royals, princes, counts, barons, knights, etc. Or develop specific courtiers who act as individual "deities". Treat the overall court as a pantheon with different tiers/courtiers representing more specific ideas/domains so you can better allocate favored weapons.
