Yeaaaaaaah,Will watch it this weekend. Hope it will not get too bad. But I might be a little optimistic^^
The DC movies I am mostly optimistic about are Batgirl, Wonder Woman 2 and Aquaman. The rest not so much^^
"She came up, and I started getting obsessed with how a young woman could get hardcore enough to need to put on the cowl. Like, what's her damage?"

Haven't seen, don't particularly care about DC movieverse much, but saw a side-by-side of the armor from WW and JL.
...
Okay, could stretch the mind around the WW armor, it's lightweight armor built for warmer climes and mobile warfare.
... not bondageagogo play-pretend leather.
Actually, take that back, it's even worse than that. Bondageagogo leather would be more durable and cover more...

Yeah, there is costume changes.
And in the modern era, some amazons (like Hippolyta) still have their old armor. But many others, like Penthasilea and Nubia, have metal bikini armors, just a modern version of those leather bikinis.
Also there are FAR MORE assshots of Wonder Woman and other Amazons.
So yeah.
Also sorry Freehold, under Snyder since these were shown a while ago before Whedon was even on board. Take that, hatred.
Though the worst parts in JL are the added comedy parts sooo 50/50

I just watched Batman vs. Superman with my 8 year old, who's review boiled down to "Batman has a lot of dreams that don't make sense", "I liked the fight with the monster at the end", "Why do they bury Superman, they should put him in the sun, he's not really dead", and "Is that Zsasz?!" when Luthor is doing the mumbling crazy shtick is a prison jumpsuit.

I hope he does not go the James Cameron route with female action roles. Sarah Connor in a Batgirl costume we do not need. If they take inspiration from the last years of the Comic I would be glad.
And please no parent killed and that motivates someone to put on the cowl.

Technically, but there's the whole trying to revive her scene. Though the power of showing what happens when a superstrength character panics and forgets they have superstrength was something that stuck with me.
And her reaction upon hearing the crack as her mother's chest cavity collapsed under her attempts at CPR......I love Gellar as an actress for pulling it off, but damn that was a brutal decision for a director to make.

That and it reminded me that even without superstrength you can break ribs during CPR. And it showed how much restraint she must have to always remember her strenght and not break something or someone. One of the best examples for the "world of cardboard" speech.

Whether you love Whedon or hate him I think that you have to admit that some of the episodes of Buffy are absolutely incredible.
I'm in the fairly large group that believes that The Body is probably the single most moving TV episode ever made.

Given what I've heard from reviews, I gotta say that I'm disappeared that this film didn't really even try to have some kind of hopeful message or theme. That's basically the one thing that DC theoretically has over Marvel is that their films try to have pathos at lot more enough. That's one of the reasons why I considered watching this over Thor 3, which seemed like fun but potentially empty. Instead, even the best complimentary reviews for Justice League claim it's fun and not much else.

I truly loved that last episode.

*isn't surprised by Delightful's comment* I'm convinced Warner Bros WANTS grim dark more than anyone.
Warner Bros: Patty we just loved how much money your Wonder Women film made for us, but do you think in the sequel you have Wonder Woman accidentally brutally murder all the Amazons on Themyscira? Our data charts show that maladjusted 13 year boys and misanthropic forty year old men really emotionally traumatized ultra-violent heroes so we think this new direction will make us a whole lot of money. So, what do you think about totally non-negotiable proposal?
Patty Jenkins: Well that's just...Warner Bros: Wait, wait, before you say anything, do you think get a couple more shots of Wonder Women's ass in the next one too? All the boys and manboys would really dig that.

Warner Bros: But...
Warner Bros: But without chart we don't what to do.Patty Jerkins: That much is obvious.

I'm sure whedon has already destroyed this one.

I'm kind of siding with Fyre. It's clear Warner Bros is still stuck in 1980s or something when it comes getting new ideas. Certainly enough that if Patty DID make a new Justice League, she should clearly make it for Earth-11, with the gender swapped versions.
I'd just love to a have a delightfully weird Multiversity film. Sunshine Superman, Cowboy Batman, and Wonderous Man join forces and fight Vampire versions of the Justice League
