arcane bond wand full charge?

Rules Questions

reading over the wizard arcane bonded item rules it says you can pick a wand. and later it says
"If the bonded object is a wand, it loses its wand abilities when its last charge is consumed, but it is not destroyed and it retains all of its bonded object properties and can be used to craft a new wand."

does this mean it comes in with a full charge of 50? it doesn't really say 1 way or the other and I'm hoping someone can point me towards a ruling on this.

Until you enchant it, your wand is just a stick. Just like your amulet is just a rock on a string. You don't get a magic item of your choice as a 1. level Wizard.

The rules are a little unclear, but I doubt choosing a wand is intended to give you 750 gp for free to start with.

I believe your "wand" is just a non-magical stick, that you can then enchant for the normal item creation costs.

750? A CL 20 wand of Animate Dead, or any of the lesser Symbol spells, clocks in at 110,000 gp.

Well that clearly confirms it then.

Since they don't include any rules for determining what kind of wand is available, they obviously don't intend you it to have any magical properties to start with.

Just like the ring, amulet, staff, etc don't have any magical properties.
