Goblin Fighter Build

Advice

So a friend of mine is running a We Be Goblins Campaign!!! This does happen to be the same game as "Looking to name a pile of Garbage" I'm working on a fighter build. I originally did Ranger, but because I wanted to do TWF I went with Fighter for more feats. This is for 1st level, and I'm still deciding later feats. (Probably boosting TWF, and getting Burn Burn Burn!!!) Yes, I am TWFing using a torch. The racial feats were just too tempting... Here's my build in stat block form, so I just want to gather your opinions. My teammates so far, are a cleric, an oversized feral gnasher, a swashbuckler, and I think a couple more. I'll check up on that.

Looks like you've thought this out. Got any ideas for his goblin song, or is that on the other thread?

My GM is working that out for me. Thanks.

Please post it if you're proud of it!

So one question I do have, if I hit someone with a torch, could I light them on fire? Doesn't matter too much but it'd be a nice bonus. I'll see about the song...

Torches would set someone on fire, as long as the target fails the DC 15 reflex save. Most fires, excluding instantaneous ones, can set your enemies on fire. This will be very interesting to see in combat.

Torch Fighter lets you treat torches as a light mace, which might be more advantageous than Fire Hand (both would end up removing the improvised weapon penalty, but Torch Fighter ups the damage from 1d2 to 1d4, as opposed to the +1 to hit from Fire Hand). If you're using Combat Stamina, that lets you up the fire damage to 1d4 as well.

Checked up on the party. We have me, a feral gnasher (oversized), a winged marauder(aerial goblin bomber - alchemist), a cleric, a swashbuckler, and a vigilante.

I'd love to hear the story behind a goblin Vigilante. :)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I expect he is green and his social persona runs a large company.

A great feat for melee goblins is Roll With It. Not only is it fantastic for damage mitigation, but it also can be used to turn yourself into a fleshy pinball!

The player is a bit silly, but he is Oximan. Other Goblins made fun of his weird head, he took on a persona to embrace his spray-bottle-shaped head. It's We Be Goblins!!! we're just gonna laugh a bunch. :)
