Left hand is doing better. I think if I have to give it a percentage, it's at least 85-95% of where it needs to be. The big gash in my palm has mostly healed up and is only slightly visible thanks to scab. The two wounds on my wrists though are slightly bothering me; I don't think they're infected but the area around the scabs is kind of scarlet...
Mostly I'm concentrating on the fact by the 3rd of July, I'll be back in my own bed, in my own room, with all my stuff.

Unfortunately dog bites do most of their damage under the skin and to tissue.
From my experience they tend to take longer to heal and do get a bit of red puffiness around them, especially awhile afterwards.
I still might have a professional look at it though, you don't want to f*$+ around with infections.
Good luck! Hopefully it's all good!

These numbers you're posting. They're enigmatic. *grits teeth and slams fist on desk* But dammit, they must mean SOMEthing!
Lol. They mean I’m on my phone and my DM wants a Perception check.
As Freud once said, “Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar”*
*Ubsubstantiated and apocryphal, but still a good quote

Howdy Treeforters!
Whelp,
I survived the beach, With no sunburn, (some of the kiddos got a little toasty. Lets just say that when "Uncle Ragadolf" tells them to re-apply, next time they MIGHT listen. ;P
I did get nice and dark around my neckline though. ;P
I DID end up wading through what must have been a small school of jellyfish on the last day though. The front of both ankles just started stinging a little, then burning, then burning AND stinging, A LOT.
It wasn't TOO bad overall, I only wanted to chop off my legs for maybe 5 minutes, then it started getting better. All gone by next day. ;)
I think My 18-year old daughter found the same school, after I warned her. But she only got one ankle, but she still has a small scar from it. :(
Everyone got to do at least a little of what they wanted to do, and fun was had by all.
Now I have a day to get my house in order, literally, before I have to travel to Oklahoma. Normally this would be my annual 4th of July vacation with the relatives, but I just spent a week at the beach with them!
No, THIS trip is because my brother in law is a dental surgeon, and it is cheaper for me to drive my wife there to get a root canal than to have it done here. Even with Insurance. :P
So,... I'll be catching up on the PbP's today and tomorrow, then might be out for (almost) a week, again. :P

I do have an appointment with the orthopedic specialist on July 6th. (I had it before for June 19th...but with my Mom being gone and trouble trying to juggle pet sitting, I moved it back to a more reasonable date (for me at least!).
As for my wrist wounds, I MIGHT get them checked out at Urgent Care...but right now at least I just want to cool off before I see Einar probably die at the hands of a slag giant oracle of Metal.

And so passes Einar Bloodsong, not with glory and death, but mostly shredded burnt flesh and an uninspiring attacks...
Now comes Sir (Insert Proper Taladene Name and Noble Family), Second Lieutenant of the 104th Foot and Calvary Squad of Lastwall,, Fifth Sword of the General of Vengeance, and soon to be avenger of the slain Einar and Dolgrim.

How hard is it for people to understand that I work the f#$!ing night shift and my sleep schedule is screwed up, so text me instead of calling me because if you call me you might wake me up? And to add insult to injury, the dogs will wake me up at any time for various reasons (mailman, kid knocking on the door, a leaf blowing around three blocks away, ect, ect, ect), plus my Mom can't drive right now, so I have to drive her everywhere, making it that much harder for me to get some sleep. Plus it is bright, it is noisy, and people are awake and busy.

Extremely. I've been on the night shift for over a decade, and still people who should know better (mainly my mom) will sometimes call me in the middle of the day.

I might loose a friend of over 10 years over this. It wouldn't be so bad if I were not going through my Mom's 5th and 6th (and maybe eventual 7th) bout of cancer. Plus my wife and I being separated doesn't help either (still friends and we talk more now than before), so I have less help than before, not that she could have done much.

I can relate to things being tough as well.
Never had a night shift at work but with the lack of sleep I've been getting these past several years I can related to being real pissed when I am woken as it reflects a complete lack of consideration.
Hang in there.

Damn buddy, hang in there!
Remember that you're no good to your Mom and pets (let alone anything else crawling around) if you're so dead-tired you can't see straight and drive safely!

~grimaces~ Well, to repeat my earlier words, "Cancer sucks!!!"
My mom went in to have her lungs looked at yesterday. After that, the doctor came and talked to me. There is a lump the size of a dime on one of her main airways. It is not blocking any major airways, but it might be blocking some minor ones. Sadly, once that tumor is killed, it will make a hole in her airway that will not heal much, if at all. He said that because of what is going on, we need to think of this as the end stages of cancer. There are three reasons.
One - The cancer has spread to several areas and might spread further.
Two - They are now on secondary treatments. Secondary treatments are secondary for a reason.
Three - The area in the lung that has the tumor will compromise her body and leave an open area for infection to enter her body.
So yea! Cancer sucks.
On the plus side, my brother is starting to step up to the plate, finally. Sort of. Maybe.

~gasps in horror~ What kind of fiend would voluntarily wake up and go to the gym at 3:30 in the morning! You are evil! Evil I tell you! Evil! Quick! We need an exorcism team here STAT!!!
I like the gym I look forward to going. It’s nice that I am no longer working 70-90 hrs a week, and I can take the time to go

Sharoth, I'm very sorry for your troubles. No matter what your brother does, you're doing the right thing caring for your mom. I know it makes life incredibly difficult right now, but you will never look back with regret. After all, people we love are the most important thing in the world.
Hang in there, buddy.
