Has anyone seen Quibblemuch lately? There's been no one to de-beverage at my jokes.

It's a sunny, warm Spring day here in Central Arkansas. But it's a meh kinda day for me. My knee is swollen and hurting enough that I can't enjoy walking the dogs.

Gripe grumble gripe gripe grumble...

Have you been getting in any grillin' chow therapy as prescribed last year, DMCal? *grin*
Sigh...no. The grill has stopped working. Lines are clogged or something.

Oh no that is horrible.

Just got back from the ER. Chest pains. Probably angina. I see my cardiologist this Wednesday, anyway. Came home to find the dogs had moved everything I had put in front of the kitchen closet where I keep the trash. Spent 30 minutes cleaning that up. One may have licked the residue off a plastic disk I put ant poison on. I'll be up for awhile watching to see if either of them gets sick.

I'm unhappy.

Good luck, DMC. I hope that both you and your doggie are ok.

Thanks, Sharoth. As you might imagine, I'm more worried about the dingoes than myself.

I understand.

Well, an update on the atomic dogs. Rosie seems to be the one who got the ant poison, but she's fine now. She was very lethargic throughout the night and most of the day but finally began to perk up.

Buster is fine, too, though his poop has bits of aluminum foil in it from ravaging the trash can.

I'm glad both dogs are doing well. I too am in the midst of a kind of dog crisis...since my mom insisted on getting this dog that's only a year and half...and then LEAVING after only spending three weeks with him. Admittedly she had planned the trip BEFORE we got the dog...but it still doesn't help when said dog PEES all over the house...

Oh no. Have you tried the puppy training pads? Those are pretty good to work with. I'm pretty lucky with the dingoes in that I didn't have any real issues with potty training them. They were both less than a year old when I got them and things went pretty smoothly.

Cal,

Nah it was more the fact he couldn't hold it I think. That and he's used to having more than just me taking care of him. Regardless, it was (I'm pretty sure) an isolated incident. Right now though, still not my favorite dog.

When is your mom coming back? Maybe he's having a reaction to her being gone. My dogs flip out if I don't "quarantine" them in the kitchen where they (normally) can't get in to things.

Not until April 14th because she's coming back after spending time with my brother and also her birthday with him. And even then it would be closer to 15th due to the fact her flight won't be in until 11:13 pm...

Maybe things won't turn into a Thunderdome scenario between you and the pupper between now and then! :p

Do you really think it's likely that Tina Turner will show up at his house and sing the theme from an old movie?

Some pets like to watch movies. F'r'instance, my oldest cat is a big fan of the MCU Hulk. When the Missus is away and background noise is called for, I rotate through the MCU films with some Hulk action. He'll watch rapturously.

He's not WATCHING the movie, the cat is obviously trying to figure out how to gamma-irradiate itself so it can become The HULKITTY.

Yet another future feline overlord plotting humanities downfall. Nothing to see here. Move along,... ;P

"Smart kitty, soft kitty, mutant green ball of furrrOMGWTFBBQ!!!" *horrifying sounds ensue*

Suddenly overwhelmed. And not in the good way.

I am sorry to hear that. Is there anything we can do to help?

Thanks, Sharoth. Nah, there's nothing anyone can do, but I truly appreciate the thought. It's a cash flow thing and the river is dammed upstream.

*goes to find some dynamite for Cal*

Also I don't think it will be a Thunderdome situation but it now might be more "Grumpy old dogs" now that my brother is bring his 16 year old Border collie to go along with my 8-10 year old border collie mix (who looks more Lab than border collie) and the German Shepard Mix that is still only a year and half... So...we'll see.

Mostly if Tina Turner DOES show up, I hope she can help me dog sit. Singing is optional.

Ha! I needed that.

So how's everyone's day so far? I'm better than yesterday, at least to a degree. I no longer want to not wake up anymore. Yesterday I didn't care if I ever did. My vehicle died again yesterday and it may be down for the count. I don't have the $3K to fix it and can't afford payments of any amount on a new one. So here I sit, dependent on others for transportation and running errands.

While I DO feel better than yesterday, I'm still pretty bleh about the situation.

Hey everybody. I'm back with a new and sharper beak.

Welcome back. Just watch where you put that thing.

I'd like to sleep and sleep and sleep, and avoid the family crisis altogether.

Dot. I will not let this thread die.

Having said that, what's everyone doing this weekend? No gaming for us until next Saturday, but a friend is coming down to spend the weekend and hang out. And eat a lot. That's a common theme with us.

Tomorrow and Sunday, I'll be running my sandbox game at Tekko. I'd have been there yesterday and today, but my employer declined my request for two days off. Apparently, I'm not worth even that much. :(

Good morning everyone.

You need a new employer.

Sharoth wrote:

Hey, Sharoth! I didn't get this until the afternoon, but morning was pretty good. So's the afternoon!

My days could be going better due to the fact I have one dog (my mom's) that seems to keep PEEING in this house. Not sure if it's because he needs to go, marking territory OR just being a dick. The other, my brother's 16 year, ended up in spots she couldn't get up from. But fortunately I'm more willing to be forgiving with her than my mom's dog...

It's weird but that's how these past two and half days have rolled.

I know. I stayed this long out of a sense of loyalty, that I'm no longer sure they deserve.

You seem to be a dedicated, highly competent, and hard working employee. That your current employer refuses to recognize you (and likely other employees) for this and/or abuses your loyalty is clearly either incompetence or malice (or likely some of both). Some better company is much more deserving of you.

So, I'm home now. Going to bed. Good night, everybody.

Hi folks. Sorry its been so long, but lots going on in MonkeyLand.

I am rededicating myself to at least post once a day. I don't want to fade off.

I miss my time here, but I guess its a positive thing that I have little time to spare for computer message boarding.

I hope all is well!

Things are mostly ok! :)

Aside from me getting screwed over while volunteering for Tekko, because my Supervisor wouldn't approve my request for two days off. :(

My stomach has viciously turned on me today. Ugh.

MONKEY SIGHTING!

Immediately after a Monkey-Fey post. Hm. Coincidence?
I think NOT! :)

Busy can be good. I'm certainly busy.
(Aged wizard might, just MIGHT have bitten off more than he can easily chew this Spring. Juries still out on that) O_o
But most of it is actually fun. Mostly. ;P

Happy Monday to all! (Sorry. I still cant say that with a straight face) ;P
Here's hoping that everyones busy time is enjoyable, and that all of us with money troubles find a small but sturdy money-tree growing in our backyard. :D

HAve a great week all!

I'm off to load in an opera now, Hansel and Gretel.
(Guess I Should really get started on that Lighting design, shouldn't I?) ;P
