Aw! Did someone steal your sweetroll? Or did you take an arrow to the knee?
Khajit stole nothing. Khajit is innocent of this crime.

Two of the bedrooms in my house have paneling. I don't mind it, but I wouldn't say I'm a fan of it either. Apparently neither were the previous owners, since they painted one of the rooms white. Why they didn't just replace it with drywall, I don't know. It was kind of odd at first, because I would be laying in bed half-asleep and then jolt awake thinking the wall was cracking. But I got used to it.
Lol, Yeah My front room WAS all very dark paneling, which the previous owners painted a dull beige. (It was either just a cr@%%y color, or cr@%%y paint, either way, ugly) I understand WHY they did it, the front room must have been a dark hole, even with the huge window in the front wall. I just don't understand why anyone would put ugly paint paint over beautiful wood paneling. :)
My dining room on the other hand only has the paneling up to the chair rail, so my wife is gonna have to live with that. (And it matches the dark cabinets in the kitchen too. And NO WAY can I afford to replace those! So deal with it!) :)
I keep telling my wife, when we win the lottery (LOL!) we can live anywhere she wants, BUT:
1) I'm building a castle,
and
2) MY personal study will be wall to wall beautiful wood paneling
;D
I don't know how dark the paneling that is painted over is, but the one that isn't painted is very light in color (almost a gray brown). The kitchen has wood paneling up to the chair rail as well, which I would call a medium brown.

-The paneling that was painted over was VERY dark. Brown. MAde the room dark I m sure, But I like the look of the paneling. It was just cheap, nasty paint they used on it I've decided. Rest of the (original) house paint is nothing like it. It still looks nice, just out of date colors.
-MOTH! Its getting cold outside! Stay AWAY FROM THE FIREPLACE MOTH! ;P
-That man must have been awesome. Whether he was a good teacher or not, look at that office! Oh the stories I bet he could tell,...
-The cat is guilty I tell you! The cat is ALWAYS guilty!
Yeah,... It's late, my southern Louisiana town shut down schools tomorrow for threat of 'snow' (What they call 'snow' I call barely frozen rain) so my kids and wife (teacher) will be HOME all day tomorrow, while the contractor is trying to get work done on the house. And of course MY university I work at will not close down tomorrow, they are still having finals!
Yeah,... Gonna be a long friday,... ;P
Nighters Treeforters! :)

How did your windows update go in the end Treppa? I finally had time and inclination to look at my PBP games after a couple of weeks away from the boards, and I had one of those updates … which took in the order of four hours like the one John mentioned.
It went. I just walked away and let it do its thing. Came back that night and it was over whatever it was doing. Best not to know.
Ugh, light snow has gone to icy patches on my route. It looks like the plow has been through, maybe dropped some sand on the curves. I hope. Ora pro me.

LOL,
Here is south Louisiana they have been stressing out over the last 2 days about possible snow. So they closed schools today et all, (Last 2 times they did that, it was sunny warm and bright)
I said I'd believe it when I saw it.
This morning,... whattaya know. Actual SNOW on a Louisiana Snow day. :/
Now, our snow is not a Treppa snow, (they dont even OWN snowplows or sand trucks) it is not even sticking to the roads, (maybe icy patches on a bridge?) but other wise the roads are clear, it just accumulated on the cars, roofs and our trampoline. A little on the ground but its melting/ed now.
But we ARE actually getting to watch it actually snow this morning. It's kinda nice. (Especially since it's melting when it hits the ground) :)
So,... Happy Snow Day to all! :)

Well, today would've been my later friend Jerry's 50th birthday. To celebrate his life we, his friends, have rented a lodge and will game all night and all day tomorrow and then have our annual Christmas party tomorrow night.
Jerry's favorite liquor was Goldschlager. How he drank that stuff is beyond me, but if I had any I'd lift it in a toast to him.
Roll nothing but 20s, Jerry.

Whelp,
Front room has had all paneling removed, and is now covered in sheetrock.
TV and couch have been restored for the weekend use (they will not be working over the weekend)
We will need to pick our new wall & trim colors this weekend. On Monday they will begin the wall prep. Hopefully by end of next week we will be done. But it will be close. Apparently the prep part is the most time consuming, The mud has to dry and then sanding, texture, etc.
Hrm,... guess I should start looking for the new carpet now. If I want it in by Christmas.:P
I still have to work, and at some point go Christmas shopping,... :/
WHO is the lying turkey that said Holidays are RELAXING?!?!?!?!?!?

A weird observation I came to, as a person who trends toward laziness as a rule.
It’s easy to slack off and ‘relax’. But, most enjoyable memorable, satisfying things in life involve effort.
I’m not a fan anymore of ‘relaxing’. I’d rather put forth a little effort on the front end and do something cool on the back end.
I can lay still when I’m dead

A bit of warning to the people who are my patrons on Patreon. On January, Patreon changes the way their fees work and it will bump up your pledge by 2.9% + 35 cents of fixed fee. You might want to check your pledges and decide which to keep, which to drop, and which turn a bit lower to accommodate for the change in fees.

That's why I stopped celebrating holidays years ago. While everyone's off stressing out with their families, I'm enjoying all the leftover peace and quiet.

I spend some time with my family. I'm also immensely introverted and get people'd out pretty quickly, so after a meal and maybe an hour's worth of conversation, give or take, I'm ready to retreat back to my room and return to the safety and introvert-recharge-station of video games and the Internet.

Slim pickings for movie trailers these days...
i have waited years for that first movie.
Years.
I own everything legally released in this country for it and PINE for the PS1 copy of the game which was AMAZING and true to the manga.
I cannot wait for the side stories to be released here. Been reading them online for ages.
This movie better stay in its lane. It also better not suck TOO hard.

some very stressful weeks and work are behind me, organizing the build of a cardboard mock up model for a new production line in an empty building, organizing a "best project of the year" day with 400 attendends and organizing and moderating a week long workshop with 25 people from different countries (where we optimized the sonn-to-be-bought line with the mock up model)
now the weeks till christmas should be rather relaxed

Just got home from our weekend gaming and Christmas party getaway, JerryCon was a success and I know he'd be pleased with how we honored and remembered him and all the good times he brought us. I wrapped up our campaign with everyone breaking 20th to 21st level and am now taking a rest from working on such high level hijinks to working on the upcoming campaign. No more gaming until January and I'm quite fine with that.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Happy Monday!
(UGH! I dislike Oxymorons) ;P
Well, a week of catch up at work ahead of me, I should be able to get back on track before my Fly system final repairs this Friday.
AND after much debating, my wife and I think we have finally settled on our color(s) for the front room remodeling. (WHY does EVERYthing look either Beige or Grey to me?!? I mean, I know I stare into stage lights for a living, but still!) ;P
Ah well, Happy week to all! :)
Go forth! Carpe that Diem!
And I'll see you later, cuz i'll likely still be at work. :P
