I'll take a delusional nostalgia over the life I've had the last 20 years any day.

On the gaming part, and everything else too! ;P

So plans for tomorrow:

Do last minute shopping because waiting until Saturday is a REALLY bad idea.

Some how get vaccinated because I forgot to get my Flu shot and the last time I tried they were out...

Possibly try to decorate the tree but more likely is I try to fix a slightly broken laundry cabinet that rests on top of our dry sink; said dry sink is probably older than most of the houses in my neighborhood.

Try to decorate and also wonder if Thursday I'll get any one to show up for gaming...

Good luck with everything! I had a routine checkup appointment Monday and I'd forgotten to get my flu shot this year and they were out of the vaccine. So I guess I'll just go without and hope for the best.

I hope you get a crew together for your game, too!

Unfortunately because I slept in and also because I slacked off, I didn't get to do shopping today. WHICH means because I still have to do the other stuff...and also fix the cabinet AND now get a card table (some how) (ordering it this late does NO ONE any good, especially my mom who wants it for gift wrapping) I had to cancel. It's not my favorite move but it's a necessary one IF I want a less stressful Boxing Day. (Plus I found out my latest client who is also my mom's contractor wants me to stop by Christmas Day to pick up the key....)

After the new year, I'll almost be at my 32nd, 20th birthday! :)

What? 20 was a very good year. I see no need to pass it by just because everyone else does! ;P

Indeed! 1920 was a magnificent year!

Yes the Roaring Twenties of the prior century are soon to be with us once more, let's hope they don't become followed up by the 1930's though. Or if they are, we get some REAL change for once :-)

Back from Christmas party with my friends.

I watched Bright and it was fun, though while returning home I felt overloaded.

Being outgoing introvert (or possibly a very private and solitude-loving extrovert) is tedious sometimes.

Either one could classify me and I find them utterly exhausting.

*shrug*

My long time friend (and the now burned out love of my life), who was at the time master of arts in psychology and now has PhD in psychology laughed with disbelief when speaking about other things I claimed to be shy...

So...almost done with the tree decorating...but it's kind of slow going when you stop every 30 minutes...just because.

Actually I could spare a dime but not a 1930'a dime given inflation :-)

So...you will return for us to give money to bury the Wren then? ;)

Hey all!

Just gonna say "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!" here and now, because my plans keep changing by the minute!
This way I don't forget to say it. :)

So,... yeah! Go forth! Make Merry! Imbibe the Nog and/or the Mulled Wine/Mead! (Or in my case, all of the above?!) ;P

Enjoy life, your friends, and family!

For in a few short days, the bills come due, and we will pay,... dearly,... ;)

Merry Christmas and stuff!

Wassail! Be joyous and glad this weekend! Because soon there will be no more 2017. (Praise Thor!)

Busy week of work, Ragtime rehearsals, and Christmas prep. Today was my day to get things done and... I appear to have broken my big toe this afternoon.

There is much pain.

Silver Crusade

Also, I hit the gym this morning, and wound up having to call paramedics because an older guy collapsed in the locker room and was unresponsive. So that happened.

Silver Crusade

I am hoping my injury doesn't put too much of a wrench into our vacation plans next week. I need to get away.

Wow CH, That's an interesting start to a holiday weekend. O-O
(Hope your toe gets better!) :)

Whelp,
My freshly- repaired front room already looks like we live in it again.
(meaning it is a mess from wrapping Christmas Presents) ;P

And for SOME reason, while taking my daughter to audition for a part in a (semi) local community theater, (doing a production of 'Tuck Everlasting') upon being told they did not have enough men audition, I said that I would try out. Unprepared, cold turkey and accapella. (Even though I know that I will likely be too busy with my own stage to actually accept and perform any part. It WOULD be fun though,...) ;P

Yeah,... still need to clean house, prepare a Christmas dinner, and wrap presents, go to church,... set up 'Santa', (Wife doesn't get to help this year, because Santa included her in on getting the big gifts) ;)

Did I mention I need to clean house?!? O_o

Honestly, I've been so stressed out the last 2 weeks already with everything, I'm actually calm now. Too tired to be stressed anymore. Enjoying the weekend even. -_-
Still, looking forward to actually getting OUT of this state too,... even if only for 3-4 days. :)

Merry Almost Christmas!
:)

Yikes! I hope he turned out OK.

I also hope your toe heals enough so it doesn’t impact your vacation.

Happy not exactly Christmas, everyone!

Nearly all the gifts have been given for the giveaway thingy (*cough*Ragadolf*cough*), and we’ll be doing our traditional Christmas Eve pizza dinner.

He came to, but was in a daze and bleeding from where he hit his head on the way down. They did take him away in the ambulance. That is as much as I will ever know - such is life.

~shakes my head in disgust~ It is supposed to be "Break a Leg!", not "Break a Toe!". Please get it right next time.

~grins and runs~

j/k! Get better soon!

I love this!

It's based on a vague reference to Ugaritian worship of dead kings known as malakuma.

Interesting. There are so many great monsters and gods to be found in ancient Mesopotamia. If I were any good at statting creatures I'd do some, myself.

So... while normally I'd be scrambling to get stuff wrapped and put under the tree, consider this Christmas isn't like our usual affair:

NEITHER of my brothers is here before Christmas Day (I should point out I'm the oldest but it's not a ranking that matters right this second); My middle brother is with his wife vising her family in Hawaii; My youngest brother is kind of bound to stay with his fiancee who wanted to have Christmas at HER place in Charleston. Which both I and my mom acquiesced to; Now he will be Christmas Day...just not very early. But we'll have a small feast of fondue, smelts and probably some meats. But come some time Boxing Day/St. Stephen's Day (26th of December) the rest of my brother's fiancee's family will be here. This is just her mother and her grandmother since her father passed on some years ago.

But even so, I will endeavor to read to myself some of a Christmas Carol and maybe hum a few bars of Silent Night before I go to bed.

"A Christmas Carol" and "Silent Night" are both very good things. And as Tiny Tim would say, "Merry Christmas and may God bless us, everyone".

Merry Christmas and peace to everyone for all the holidays being celebrated this time of year.

I'm working.

Apparently, everyone wakes on Christmas morning saying, "Oh, I can't wait to see if Santa brought us a newspaper!"

Whooda thunk it.

Treppa,

Ours comes at 10:30 on Christmas Eve. :)
