Keep em chained in your basement. Only very infrequently do they get the courage to gnaw their feet off and drag themselves to safety...

I am a member of my primary gaming group for 23 years now, the group was already running almost 10 years when I joined, only one member of the original 1e group is left, though

Like being shot out of a burning tower window by a jet of high-pressure water and triggering your figurine of wondrous power (griffon) mid-tumble to land unscathed? ;)

Last RPG session of the year (& Conan campaign), and we had a new player taking over an absent players PC, in the final showdown he got lightning bolted..... whoops, guess we might not see that player again. But my character just survived, a fun campaign with twists and a astoundingly fast pace.
Sounds like fun! Poor n00b. I hope it wasn't friendly fire; that's pretty hard to take

Nah, BBEG 1-shotted him, which I did slightly talk to the GM about afterwards... although had to run for my train, so didn't talk too much about it. However the chap seemed to have fun, but no game for 3 weeks could ensure he doesn't return - that & no good GM's have signed up so far.

I can't believe you have a freaking gaming club in your town. Amaze balls.
Well it's been going 30 odd years now, and even at one point spawned 3 clubs (during the dark drama times), they even held Conventions/Gaming Shows (there's still a couple of grand in the kitty... that we cannot really touch).
But then again there's the usual 'drama' with the Wargamers, which does result in tension. The upside is all of us are associates of the Royal Air Force Association. :)

It's a balmy 45 degrees this morning.
Warming up to 75 tomorrow! (I thought this was supposed to be WINTER?!?)
Then I think sunday it rains again, and drops into the 30's.
In Louisiana. SOUTH Louisiana.
I just wish the friggin weather would make up it's mind. (Lately it has started chilly in teh mornings, then warming up to mid 60's during the day) I can deal with hot or cold, but not both on the same day! ;P

Texas is awesome......
WHY do I hear you saying this in the voice of Rhino the Hamster from the BOLT movie?!? ;)
