Shield Bash Vexing Devil build idea

The idea:
Exploit the Feint and Bash weapon trick (from Weapon Master's Handbook) to basically get an extra attack per round, enabling the Vexing Daredevil to have another chance to trigger painful stare.

Race: Human

Traits: Regional Recluse > Ilsurian (gain light shield proficiency); some other trait

Attributes at creation: S14 D16+2 C12 I10 W7 CH15

Progression

Level 1
Martial Proficiency > Free choice
Feat > Two-Weapon Fighting
Racial Feat > Improved Shield Bash

Level 2
Mesmerist Trick > Misdirection

Level 3
Bonus Feat > Improved Feint
Feat > Two-Weapon Feint
Dazzling Feint > Piercing Strike

Level 4
Mesmerist Trick > Free choice from here on out

Level 6
Bonus Feat > Greater Feint

Level 7
Dazzling Feint > Surprise Strike
Feat > Weapon Trick > Weapon and Shield Tricks

Level 9
Feat > Improved Two-Weapon Fighting

Level 10
Bonus Feat > Greater Mesmerizing Feint

Level 11
Feat > Intense Pain
Dazzling Feint > Sloppy Defense


That sounds really interesting.

I'd add Shield Slam, Greater Bull Rush, and Paired Opportunist. I don't think any shield bash build is complete without them.

I also strongly recommend the Bashing Shield Enchantment.


I'd get Shield Slam + Shield Master at levels 13th and 15th, but PFS doesn't go for that long.


I honestly haven't even looked at the mesmerist till now...but I really like this build.

I've been a big fan of shield bash builds lately.

Whats the bonus to damage looking like per strike?


Is TWF and two weapon feint absolutely needed? I feel like you could two hand the shield. Two level ranger dip? Meh doesn't seem right.

I really dislike vexing daredevil because it gives up all bold stares. You get feints, but you give up your ability to feint mindless creatures.
