More than two limbs on one weapon....

Rules Questions

Say, 3+ "handing" a greatsword/axe/club etc.
This does what now?

What used to be in 3.5?

I don't think it does anything more than two-handing.

Dark Archive

It does nothing as you only have two "hands" no matter how many hands your race/character actually has.(or at least that is what I have found to be true.)

While we're on the subject, I never got a convincing answer to the "4 arms dual wielding two handed weapons with minimal penalties" question.

I don't think you will get one, either. The rules were written for PCs with two arms, don't scale to more arms, and I seem to recall the designers saying that they had no intention of adding in extra system level support for PCs with more than two arms.

Per the extant rules I believe you'd be taking the -4/-6 penalties, get 1.5x Power Attack/Str with the "main hands" and then the usual .5x for the "off hands" since the rules don't give any specific bonuses for two-handing an off-hand weapon that offset the usual penalties.

I think there's only 1 main hand, regardless of how many off-hand(s) you manage to have.

Savage Species I think had a rule that each extra hand on a weapon added +1/2 strength damage.
