Very interesting, don't do it often, and for the love of the gods check your barley.Know anywhere I might be able to find some of that stuff? I'm... asking for a friend. Yeah, that.
Have you ever wanted to vacation in Turkey? You could bring back a jar of deli bai ("mad honey")? Or you could do it yourself and become the Walter White/Albert Hofmann/Sasha Shulgin of rhododendron-growing apiarists.

You mean that there are people who are paid to cut people's hair? What kind of a trade is that? That's what a spouse is for!
I can't imagine a shaver sees very many customers.
The salty barbarian's imagination is limited by his time period and he would be very wrong.
This.
Once a month crop is way less work than all the shampooing, conditioning, blow drying, and the endless brushing I have to do every day.

I just shampoo, condition, and brush it once while it's wet, after that it's good for the day, don't even think about it.
My wife once challenged me to see how many days it would take to get tangled without brushing it. Made it 5 days:-)
How long to get tangled? Hours. Less if it's windy or I'm doing something active.
Overall I suppose getting it cut is less work, but it's a different kind of work. One just fits into the daily schedule. The other requires a special trip and planning and stuff.
Every year or so, I trim the ends myself. :)

Unless your hair produces a lot of oil very quickly, you usually should not have to wash your hair every day. The drier your hair is, the less you should be washing it.
I just wash mine a little more than once a week.
This was the best thing I ever discovered. There's for sure an adjustment period, but now I only wash it once a week and it only begins to get oily on the fourth or fifth day. And my hair's much improved because of it. Makes showers faster, too.

ok i don't even know if kids are even allowed on this site but I won't let that stop me from making this joke.
Technically, there are a lot of sites kids aren't allowed on. It's not that hard to type 1995 on birth year. Even a 12 year old can do basic math. It's not like they have to prove their age.

I do, i have two kids, and i've been married 14 years, but it hasn't been like the Guns n' Roses song* :-D
*your mom might know the song i'm talking about, off Use Your Illusion 2 :-)

Of course! I used to do that myself when I was a kid.
The fact that you give 1995 as a suggestion makes me feel a little old now lol. :Þ I was born in 1993. But I guess people born in 1995 would be 20 now! So it's not so bad.
At the time I just added five (1988) or ten (1983) to my age, which if true would make me 27 or 32 today, interestingly.

I don't want to hear that 1995 as a suggestion makes you feel old - I was born in one of the years that you used to lie about your age, and I'm not even that old. :P

You damn kids! Get off my internet! <shakes cane>
When I was that age, if I want to lie about my age on the internet, I'd have had to get off the couch, go down to the lab and invent the internet!
Well, technically the internet existed, but not the web. Email & Usenet and stuff. And you really could only get at it through universities or other professional/research jobs.

30 is actually cool. You don't physically fall apart, you are pretty steady fiscally (for most people), and it is socially acceptable to hate teenagers. Parties have always been stupid, but now nobody looks at me as if I'm crazy for passing on them. You also just give so much less of a f*** about what people think. I didn't think it was mathematically possible to give less of a crap than I did in my 20s, but somehow my 30s split the atom and gave me a whole new level of nuclear apathy.
Not looking forward to 40...mainly cause my hair, being the gorgeous copper I mentioned, has decided to skip gray and gives me random white hairs. It's...weird.

Flipped. Out.
Pitfall? ~looks it up on the internet~
No way a game with such horrible graphics and game play could sell any copies. Man how old are you guys?!

It looks quite nice, because of the very good selection of colors. I guess even with a 1d graphics chip you can make things work aesthetically.

I don't get the snowy invaders often. Once every month or so. When I had long hair it was always a HUGE one, though...
We get the snowy invaders all the time, and they eat and destroy everyone and everything in sight.
I guess that's what happens when you live within walking distance of a door to Niflheim. Damn frost giants.

As long as we are just going stream of consciousness ...
I have had a mustache ever since I could grow one back in high school. It was only shaved off twice and then regrown as fast as I could do so. The first time was for Navy Boot Camp the second time was for Officer Candidate school.
Back in the day when I was in graduate school and I had a job that would let me get away with it I grew a great big bushy beard. People occasionally asked me if I was either Amish or Hasidic regardless of the fact that I wasn't following the dress code for those religions.
Today my job requires that I have short hair and be clean shaven (though the mustache is fine). Given that I'm going bald anyway I just get a super short buzz cut every two or three months and call it good.

Aranna |

In ten days I will turn 39 :-)
At least according to the birth certificate the man gave me :-)
Not that much older than me... I guess I did lead a sheltered childhood.
I discovered computers in the 90s so graphics like Pan's Punisher game and Doom are what I consider early graphics attempts.
Edit: Although there was a dusty old Mario coin op in the laundry place I got addicted to that had even worse graphics.

If my prospective employer enforced that I would probably make up nonsense about how in Norse heathenry it's sacrilege to forcibly shear someone, and requiring someone to be sheared against their will counts. Citing Anglo-Saxon laws as a source.
It's great having a non-institutionalized religion that's based on centuries-deceased oral tradition and highly subject to personal interpretation.
And I wonder why I never get hired ;Þ

~laughs~
Yes if an applicant showed up for an interview with me and started going on about "Norse Heathenry" as their reason for going unshaven then I would probably file that application in the circular file with haste.
