Long, all the time. ^_^

Grand Lodge

to wear or to like? I used to have hair to the middle of my back until a chunk got ripped out. On the other side, I like fairly long hair.....

Shadow Lodge

Ok I'll narrow it down some.

Man
Women
Pets

I like long hair on women, could careless on men, and like short hair on pets.

Shadow Lodge

Other thing....

Arm pit
Leg
Facial(including eyebrow)

Long hair for females. My own hair is long enough that people often ask how long it's taken to grow. I have seen short styles that look nice too, but we're talking generals here.

I don't particularly care what kind of hair males have.

Short hair for cats. Long hair breeds look nice, but I'll take sleek and simple grooming, thanks.

As to body hair, none preferably. I feel gross about it on myself, I'd rather not deal with others'.

Long hippy hair for me :-)

Weirdly enough, I like long hair on dudes and short hair on ladies.

I prefer short, but shaggy hair. Fun to play with, but not getting everywhere for myself personally.

I dig chicks with long hair, also love super crazy colors:-) I don't know how she does it but I am a huge fan of Crystal Frasier's hair :-)

I'm a 51 year old fatbeard with a ponytail that hangs down to the middle of my back. My hair is starting to thin noticeably, however, so I'm on the verge of getting it cut very short.

I've always wanted to be long haired, by my hair is absolute rubbish at it, so I keep it short.

We're talking facial hair, armpits, chest, back or intimates?

My mom: If you keep growing your hair it will fall out.

Teenage me: Yeah, how come the chicks hair wont

My mom: Genetics son...genetics

If you like. This is no holds barred.

Backside, frontside, etc

Silver Crusade

Short hair. I like it just in general. My brother likes long hair, and it drives me crazy because he's an (objectively speaking) good-looking guy under all of it.

It's a running joke between us.

Long hair just gets in the way.

Shadow Lodge

I prefer women without hair on their backs, chest, and backside. Legs and pit hair are more standard-ly removed so its rarer to come across. Like women with more prominent eyebrows, not penciled in or pencil then. Most women dont have lip, cheek, or front neck hair so that usually not an issue. Head hair I like at least passing shoulder length, wavy or straight, mostly because I like to run my hands through it.

Men I dont really care about.

Pets I like short hair because it usually makes less of a mess and is easier to groom. I prefer cats but dont usually have a problem with dogs.

Depends on the man in question. Some it looks good on. brad Pitt can rock the long do. So can our Rone Barton. Me I look like I'm playing dress up. Others look better with no hair. It is also a look I can not pull off.

Woman, depends on the woman. Most women look better with longer hair to me. There are a few however who look exceedingly cute in a nice pixie cut.

Pets, short hair all the way. While I like to look at a long hair dog, most of the time I really really really don't want to clean up after they shed.

Long hair. My spouse prefers I keep it long, and I just had a Brazilian blowout on it the other day. So it's currently amazingly straight, shiny, and tangle-free (and will be for at least the next three months).

I prefer my spouse have long hair as well, but that's their decision. Thankfully they seem to like it long as well. :)

I've heard people recite this myth before. Sadly, genetics doesn't care how long your hair is, if it's going to bite you, you're out of luck either way.

Men have a particular vulnerability to hair loss because the most common gene that causes baldness is on the arm of the X chromosome that is missing on the Y. So, an XX person has to have two of the baldness variant to have problems, where as an XY person only has to have one for it to manifest.

They basically paint your hair with purified keratin, small amounts of hair at a time, allow it to dry, and then flat-iron it at super high temperature to bind it to the hair. The only drawback is that you can't wash your hair (or even really get it damp) or tie it back for 4-5 days afterwards. I'm on day 2 and my scalp itches. This is going to be hell, but it'll be worth it.

Long or mid hair on ladies is my preference. I don't need hippie looking, but close cropped doesn't look attractive to me.

As a hetero male, esthetic wise, I couldn't care less what other men do with their hair, BUT, the sexist bullcrap corporate culture seems to think there's some sort of connection between professionalism and short hair on men, so I have been denied a few jobs and promotions as a man with long hair (and a gloriously thick beard, so their claims of "girly looking" are vile BS), SO I actually want to see more men wearing long hair, if only so through sheer numbers we can turn around that societal attitude that men should only have short hair, much the same as the influx of tattoos and piercings in the late 90s has turned those two from edgy to practically mainstream (they may be covered at work, but at least 2/3 of the people I meet have tats these days).

Armpit hair is gross, regardless of gender. It gathers sweat and leads to increased funk. Anyone who has seen my posts knows how I feel about stinky people. Also, it just looks gross. That new chicks with dyed pit hair movement literally makes me gag a little every time it pops up on my news feed or Facebook. I'm using literally correctly. An audible gag.

Eyebrows should be controlled. Nobody wants to see a caterpillar crawling on your forehead, no matter who you are.

Seriously, grooming is not hard.

...and WTF is with old men and ear hair? Those little ear clipper buzzer are like five bucks! Gray bushes in your ear are just...ugh.

Pretty much... if it ain't on the top of your head or, as a male, your face, I'm not a fan.

I would electrolysis my neck if I could afford it. That's the worst. Any other dudes with me? Neck beards are...ugh...and the hair just grows every direction...arrrghhh!!!

Hells yes!

As a fuzzy manbeast, I'm quite fond of my beard. My well-groomed, sexy beard. My long hair also suits me quite well. Completes the Drogo look.

As far as the lady-types go, it really depends. Some are more suited to longer hair, some shorter. Heck, a buzz cut could look good on the right gal. Pits & legs . . . not really my cup of tea. Especially when they get to the dyed pit hair. That just looks silly.

For critters, well I've got a short-haired cat, because cats shed too bloody much to deal with a long-haired cat. I also have a bichon, and she looks pretty darned adorable with her poofball hair. Makes for a bit of work when she gets out romping in the weeds.

Flippin' burrs . . .

I look like Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar :-)

Or possibly a slightly younger Eddie Vedder :-)

Or was it Tom Selleck...

Your hair is too curly for the traditional representations of Jesus, and your skin is too white for the actual likelihood. Of those three, Vedder.

I grew my hair out for a little while when I was a teenager, and I looked like a huge doofus. Ever since, I've kept it pretty short. For example. Kind of a fan of short hair on ladies as well.

I have quite the mane going on. I've been able to grow a beard since 2nd year of high school and I've been growing out my hair longer than that. I'm rather fond of it and now that I've moved and made new friends, nobody knows what I look like without it. Also, my hair forms ringlets after I shower. It's rad.

I am disappointed in my eyebrows, though. I want eyebrows like kung-fu master. Bushy and trailing off my face. Mine are just so...bland.

As far as other people? I'm kinda down for whatever. Any length of hair can be cute on anyone.

Hmm, now that you mention it, I was born in the later mid 70s and my mom is a huge fan of The movie, I don't remember my biological father... not to sure what to make of Judas being her favorite performer in it tho...

That's all true actually, I don't remember my biological father:-)

I've kept my hair long since high school (oh so many years ago). I just really do not like the way short hair looks on me (it just looks wrong to me).

On other folks, it just depends. Some folks look good with long hair, others not so much. Same could be said for short hair or no hair. And this is regardless of gender.

While I have been involved with women with short to long hair (never had a girlfriend shave her head fully ... Closest was a mohawk in my teenage punk phase), I have had more girlfriends with long hair than short. Not so much a preference rather than the luck of the draw.

I'm a really heavy guy so short hair on my makes me look like a pinhead.

Sovereign Court

Intimates are best shaved or at least neatly trimmed.

Honestly, hairstyles depend on the person. I think most men look better with short hair generally, but few look great with long hair. Women are the opposite, most should wear long but, a few look great with a short hairstyle.

As a man I tried long hair for a long time was never a good look for me. I think I look best when my hair is just a little too long for a standard short hairstyle. Which is nice because I get fewer haircuts.

One thing is for sure I need a barber not a stylist. The barber has to have hot foam and a straight edge razor to be my regular guy. Ive had the same barber for at least ten years.

Myself: Prefer hairless from the eyebrows down, with the occasional "Evil Goatee". It's just too hot for body hair most of the year. That said, I used to have hair that went down to my lower back/quarter of an inch above my ass. Had to cut it short since, well, security does NOT like long hair when you're workin' for 'em. Or so I'm told (and I'm pretty sure it's true). I miss it, cause short hair just does not look good on me (plus, the missus loved holding onto it xD).

Cats: No preference. I've had both long and short hairs, and my only problem is when either of them START WALKING OVER MY BOWL OF FOOD DURING SHEDDING SEASON!

Dogs: Short hair. At least cats can groom themselves, even if it results in hairballs.

Guys: Medium to long head hair, clean shaven from the brows down... Maybe a bit of scruff/shadow depending on the build/facial structure (some guys just don't look good to me without a bit of facial hair, Robert Downey Jr. for example). Hairless intimates are a must though.

Ladies: No real preference on head hair length, even bald can be sexy. Long as it fits your look, neh? As long as the body hair aint more than the average guys, I generally don't mind it overmuch... Intimates no real preference.

Armpit hair: Not my kink.

One day: When I get old, I would prefer to have Kung Fu Gandalf hair.... Because by then my training will be somewhat complete, and I shall be a Kung Fu Wizard.

I used to have long hair and a skraggly beard, when I was in my late teens/early 20s, and looked like a younger version of Fagin in the Oliver Twist film.

Now I have short hair and a pretty substantial beard, which I think works better.

I do prefer long hair on most women, but different people suit different styles, of course. Men can please themselves.

I do not have a problem with body hair on either men or women.

I love my wife's long curly black hair or as I say a waterfall of black silk :):):)

Myself I normally go with short spiked or slicked back hair but am currently growing out the top to tie back in a short tail much like Sokka or Bjorn.

Men: I don't care, i've seen every length. Some people look good with it, others not so much, but hey it's their choice.

Women: I prefer shoulder length to long.

Pets: I don't have one, but if i had a cat for instance, short hair would be it. I wouldn't enjoy a puffball that leaves a heapload of hairs all over my sofa :)

Armpit: I'd prefer women with shaved pits.

Brows: Women look prettier with 2 distinct brows.

Completely agree with GreenTea on the men can't have long hair and be professional thing. I am a professional, I work where I need a shirt and tie and what not, and I have long hair. Not as long as it was the first go round when I have long hair in college, but now at 35 I have the super elflord widows peak going on, so there is that.

But on the topic

Woman: I like long or shot, which ever looks good, wife is a tiny pixie woman, so she has pixie hair, makes sense to me.

Wen: same, but super shag or scraggly bears are generally not good, grooming ='s good! Also not much into checking out/judging men per say.

Pets: I have long and short haired cats, alas, fur is annoying regardless. Dogs short hair is wise.

I didn't get it locked. I wasn't the one filling up the swear filter when people got off topic, or flagging left and right, Cap'n Flagalot.

Hair also kinda sucks when you live in the south, not for esthetics, but just because it's hot as hell. I can say 4/5 of the short haircuts I've ever had have been a result of this evil Florida heat, with the other 1/5 being to placate some corporate dickwad stuck in the 1950s. The red scare is over, McCarthy, there are Americans with long hair and beards that don't call one another Comrade. (Fact - that's where corporate professional looks are rooted. Russians wore facial hair and long hair 'cause it's cold as the blood of a woman Rick James sings about up there, so America pushed clean cut looks as capitalism manifested. Only other time it was a big style of masculinity in western history was Rome, as a means of seperation of citizens and soldiers from conquered nations, like the Gauls and Celts, who typically wore long hair. The Vikings, for example, quite possibly the most bad @$$ mother f*#&ers in history, kept perfectly groomed long hair and beards. Now thats manly as all get out!)

I suspect it matters on what industry you're in and how older views on male hair length are entrenched by those generations. After a decade in biotech doing research, I've never had my long hair become an issue other than needing to wear it tied up and in a hair net like any women with long hair in the lab. Never raised in any interviews, and the only time it become a topic was the last time I had a keratin treatment and one coworker saw me from behind and starting to introduce himself because, in his words, "Damn! I thought we had a new girl starting today!"

I also don't have any hair loss whatsoever, so it looks good and healthy.
