Unchained Rogue and Catfolk

Rules Questions

Quick question for everyone. I don't have the unchained book so I can't verify this through there but On Hero Lab I purchased the Unchained content. I was trying to make a character for one of my campaigns and I decided, since catfolk rogues were always fun I'd try the new class with one. I then noticed that the Vicious Claws Rogue Talent wasn't on the unchained rogue talents list. Actually none of the catfolk only rogue talents are on the list. Is this on purpose or just an error on Hero Labs part? If it's on purpose would anyone be able to explain why it isn't available?

The book has a list of compatible talents with the Unchained Rogue and it's a very short list. Until Paizo says that all previous Rogue talents are available to Unchained Rogues, it's not gonna be official.

If it's PFS or RAW, you're dead in the water.

But if it's not PFS I'm sure your DM would be willing to allow you to take them, especially if your character concept revolves around your racial choice.

This is one of those things where it would 'make sense' but it's not allowed by the rules.

As with all of those, DM Fiat is required.

We at PCGen are interested in this as well. Logically I don't see any reason why the racial rogue talents wouldn't be available.

BUMP! Paizo, can you give a ruling on this please?

If the talent is not in Unchained then it is not availible for the Unchained rogue. This is one that is not on the list.

Also the book's contents are online so you don't need to own the book to check. If you want something to be added to the list the best thing to do is make a thread asking for it to be added, and try to get people to FAQ it.

I am not saying they will do it, but that is your best chance.

PS: Asking Paizo to give a ruling does not make them answer the question. They have said in the past they don't care for it.

Didn't Inner Sea Races make some catfolk talents legal for unchained rogue?

I don't think so, I have ISR and while it talks about catfolk it doesn't talk about vicious claws.
