What to do with Move and Swift

Advice

So my Barbarian build will have to rebuff after every two rounds as standart action. It leaves open move and swift actions in that buffing turn - how can I utilize those to benefit as a melee damager at high levels? I have an empty featslot and aren't restricted in ammount of gold.

Get heavy blade scabbard trick to bull rush to get a +2 too hit when you finish buffing www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/equipment-trick-combat

Scarab Sages

Get the Dodge feat for +1 dodge bonus to AC and if you have space get the Mobility feat so you can use your move action with a +4 AC vs AoO to maneuver into flanking with your allies.

Um... why are you needing a standard action to buff every two rounds? BUT for something to do intimidate as a move action and attack with hurtful as a swift action.

Battle Cry is a great feat to use a swift on, assuming you have some charisma. Otherwise, there might be some good magic items that have swift action abilities.

Touch of Rage with Community Minded.

At level 20 it's +12 to hit and damage for 3 rounds - can't leave those numbers behind.

Hm. To hit bonus is wasted and I don't know about saving throw against fear - can general and specific bonuses to saving throws stack even if they are of the same type? The ability to reroll a failed saving throw is always good though.

Yes, I mainly thought about those - I can max UMD if required, but I don't think there is a way to use wands and potions as swift.

community minded has the buff only apply to allies for an additional 2 rounds, so you can't buff yourself every 3 rounds, it'd still be 1 round duration with that feat.

Any morale bonuses you confer upon your allies through your own abilities or spells last 2 additional rounds.

*Cough*

come on, save us all a click ;)

You count as your own ally unless otherwise stated or if doing so would make no sense or be impossible. Thus, "your allies" almost always means the same as "you and your allies."

you know, I'm curious if your overall DPR is going down by doing this buffing. Also is quickened SLA allowed? It's a monster feat, but can be picked up by players in some games and it'll make that buffing a swift action.

Guaranteed his dpr's going down, but I'm guessing its a party mechanic for the lower ABs in the party?

Touch of rage is a 1 person only buff. So no helping others with this move.

Sovereign Court

Whether DPR goes up or down would depend upon his opponent's AC. Against the 'standard' AC (which I entirely disagree with) - the DPR would go down. Against monsters/characters actually built with good AC - it'd probably go up.

Of course - that assumes that he has no constant morale bonuses to hit/damage. And he should - so he won't be getting full benefit from Touch of Rage. (Greater Heroism giving +4 to hit at a minimum.)

Overall - it'd probably only increase DPR in corner cases - making it not really worth the feats & trait to get.

It is allowed - but it's only 3 times per day and I already have raging brutality as swift.

Yes, I know it will drop my DPR, but I want to make at least some use of this ability, hence why I asked if I can put something in those swifts and moves to increase the efficiency of that buffing round.

Or you can pick it up and buff three times a day for 3 rounds each time. And you were already planning on not using raging brutality on your buff rounds. And using is for 9 rounds a day is getting "at least some use of this ability" but outside of that the only thing is what I suggested earlier, demoralize as a move and hurtful to attack as a swift.

I guess how many fights do you have a day and how long do they last for? In my experience 3 times a day for big bursts is all that would be needed, but I guess if you consistently have more than 15 or something rounds of combat then only 9 rounds isn't as great a deal.
