Ok, I have read that medium sized creatures can not ride a medium sized mount..hence the Roc wont work for a human.
But what if I am a Gnome, buy the exotic saddle, and have the beast rider archetype. As a small creature I can ride a medium sized mount.
Can I use the Roc then? I have one as my animal companion from being a druid.
Suggestions and input please. :)

Kind of implied with the introduction of Undersized Mount feat.
As for the proposed build, it would have 2 animal companions, a Roc and a Wolf (or pony or whatever else is legal for the beastrider). The roc would advance with druid levels and the other one with cavalier levels.

The cavalier class states that small characters can ride medium mounts (or large mounts if a beast rider) and medium characters can ride a large mount (or huge if beast rider).

Pretty close, but it was unintentional. Lost in the chaos of the system change, like a few other things. Still meant to be there.
