So will that be craftable in like a year? :p
It's a level 20 recipe; the Engineer will need to be skill 20. That's 465 days (1.27 years) just for that one skill path. Plus any side training to get to Int 30. Ooof.
It's very sweet when the T3 recipes drop, just the same.

Also bare in mind you cannot get enough craft achievements from one craft to get to level 20.
Though it is certainly possible to get enough craft achievements by taking TWO crafts to level 20 if you count in the "free" cross craft achievements from the various free recipes.

Actually you can just about get all of your crafting Category Points from one Craft, with minimal dipping into other areas.
Regardless, that recipe will sit in vault for the next 2 to 2.5 years.
You don't need (XP) dipping in any class.
5 wool -> loom -> coarse yarn
Etc. there are several rank 0 you can do. And +3 yarn and wool mittens = 10 crafting points

It is the Ability-gating that makes it so long before you can use this recipe. Need to spend another 1 million XP in Int-based skills (or craft)to get Engineer to level 20.
If you pair it with Jeweller for instance, you need to get jeweller up to level 19 so that you can train Engineer to 20.
For this particular scenario, total xp needed = 2037385
I have not found any faster ways by using other Int-skills. Which makes sense, since GW seems to have set the goal of reaching any level 20 to take about 2.5 years.
The thing with crafters and refiners imo is that reaching level 20 seems more important then reaching level 20 with a Fighter. Unless the Fighter gets access to unique abillities at level 20 (this may happen).
Not saying that level 20 recipes create "must have" items: I am sure players will do very well with the Stately Camp which is a level 16 recipe. But any Crafter worth his salt will want to be able to make those Royal Camps too.
I would *love* to get a peek what those Royal Camps look like. :) I think it's cool we have to wait so long before we can see it.

20 + 13 + 13 + (stuff) is about 4 months faster than 20 + 19, and gives you two side skills fully maxed for T2.
