Dwarven Paladin *no stonelord*

Advice

I think about how to best build a touch, self reliant dwarven paladin.
The cha requirement makes paladin not the top choice but I want to do it.
And because I already played one and for other mechanical reasons I do not want him to be a stonelord.

Some time ago the potential GM told me he would allow me to play a pc who uses the mythical healer 3pp feat. So I want to combine that with fey foundling to buff up my LoH for big self heals.

Once both come online at 3rd level (if I take then as my first two feats) my LoH would heal me for 1d6+1d4+4, at 4th level 2d6+1d4+6 etc.

Sure, not having power attack early hurts my damage some (as does not having a racial strength bonus) but at 5th level he would get PA. And with a dwarven longhammer + dwarven boulder helmet to threaten near he should be doing ok.

For traits I'm thinking about magical knack and blooded. Magical knack will do nothing to 4th level but from them on it will help both my spells and the healing bonus from mythical healer.

What do you think?

go for it. Like, it's not the most optimized character ever, but it'll do what you're wanting it to do. Now the question is, what are you going to do with all that healing? I would think you'd either need no armor so everyone wants to attack you, or Oradin to heal others up.

Eh, I am unsure to what extent I would delay power attack for mythical healer.

It is a nice feat, but you have to look at how many uses of LoH you have- 1. You get 2 at level 4. As such, it is fairly situational, while doing more damage is almost always an option.

If we were talking about a human, I could somewhat understand it (they have room for extra lay on hands before level 7). That feat looks more immediately important for being a master at healing early on (200% to 66% more healing depending on if you take it between levels 3-7)

Good points. Mythical healer should wait 'till later.
About what to do with the healing: Not being afraid to be hit or getting AoOs.

Some questions:
Do you think magical knack is worth it for this build?
And is there an archetype (apart from stonelord) that you would suggest for this idea? I thought about warrior of the holy light. But in addition to not getting spells it would reduce the effect of mythical healer because without a CL it uses 1/2 char level.
Holsptaller would give me a second pool of healing that could benefit from my buffed healing but would be problematic without selective channel which I would not want to take.

Other feats I want to take some time along the build are Power attack (rather early), big game hunter, extra LoH, perhaps reward of life later on.

magical knack is great for paladins--it makes their casting much more effective as soon as they get it.

the hero's defiance spell will be your best friend.

honestly: oathbound(vengeance+oath against fiends) with the glory of old trait and steel soul feat is my go-to dwarfadin. the oaths give you loads of things to do with LoH besides healing which is great (and incentivises the extra LoH feat). easily slots in with your healing focus to let you be flexible in combat rather than a simple party HP battery.

Oathbound (vengeance) is something I think I will using if I do not go the holy light way. Fiends is not my kind of thing. More so as I guess that we will not meet tons of evil outsiders.
One thing I did not understand with the oaths: Do I only get a spell added to my list or do I get a slot like clerics get for their domain spells?

On traits: I'm not sure yet whether to take blooded or glory of old as my regional trait. But the stronger option will be glory of old. It's just that nearly every dwarf pc has it.

Steel soul is one feat I forgot in my list of feats I want eventually.

fiends is more for the 'i can enhance my armor, weapon, or shield as needed' at level 9, which grants some great defensive flexibility.

also you would be very surprised how common evil outsiders (demons, devils, daemons, qlippoth, pretty much anything that can father/mother a tiefling, and many, many more--they're quite common as villains or minions of villains) are even when not playing wrath of the righteous, and anchoring aura/party smite is super helpful against them.

that said, if it's not your thing it's not your thing--your character and all that.

@traits: blooded?

Blooded This build is for a potential group that might potentially be playing giantslayer some time in the future. So I guess I'll meet quite some orcs and giants.
