If you're talking about an occultist who selected the aegis focus power, he could give that to any shield or piece of armor, but it only lasts for a minute.

Even if the ally's shield is NOT my focus I selected at the start of the day? In this scenario is just costs double for the focus, correct?

If you selected the aegis focus power, you can spend one point of mental focus to give any piece of armor or a shield an enhancement bonus or special abilities for one minute. It's not a resonant power.
