I'm a greenish GM running this for the first time this weekend. For Lastwall, I'm slightly confused with B14 "Lord's Crypt" room. It has the "wailing to Modesha" hazard which can only be closed by closing the portal to the Negative Energy Plane.

Two questions:

1. As far as I can tell, the portal to the Plane *does not* have to be in this room however. That portal can be in any room....

2. Is "Spotting" the portal by a PC automatic, or is there a hidden spellcraft/perception check which I'm not finding in the scenario...

Now that the additional resources have been updated for Occult Adventures, I see that the Battle Host archetype for the Occultist is allowed. Anyone have any idea how this new ability works in society play?

Panoply Bond (Su): At 1st level, a battle host forms
a supernatural bond with a specific weapon, suit of
armor, or shield. This selection is permanent and can
never be changed. The bonded item is masterwork
quality and the battle host begins play with it at no cost.

The words is straightforward- character has said weapon/armor/shield for free. But how do expensive armors work for society play? If I pick O-yoroi, that originally would cost 1,700 + masterwork, and I get it for free.

Blows the 150 GP out of the water at first level.... Anyone have any idea or are there any other similar situations you can think of?

Even if the ally's shield is NOT my focus I selected at the start of the day? In this scenario is just costs double for the focus, correct?

Thanks!

I have some confusion and maybe this is on the wrong message board. For the Occultist- Lets say I am Abjuration and pick an amulet as my focus for the day.

Can I then use mental focus to enhance an ALLY's shield by +1? Or does Mental Focus only work on MY OWN implement and I would need to pick "Shield" at the start of the day?

The new book is exciting... but somewhat confusing.

Thanks!

Specific question I know, but for those of us who DON'T have a copy yet (and Wednesday is so far away!), how are the archetypes for the Rogue, Paladin, and Sorcerer? Can you use the new archetype(s) with the unchained rogue?

Afternoon All,

For a pathfinder play character, I've a question on how reskinning works with the Tengu Exotic Weapon Training alternate feature. Can I use that feature and then select a Daikyu as one of my Eastern Weapon choices since all that Daikyu is just a reskinned Longbow and doesn't actually appear on the Ultimate Combat tables but is merely referenced in the sidebar?

Or is Exotic Weapon Training limited to only the charted eastern weapons in Ultimate Combat.

I'm trying to figure out a way for a Tengu druid to use a longbow without wasting feats or double-dipping in classes.

If the answer is "I can pick a Daikyu", one would then assume that Daikyu can become composite, correct?

Thanks!
