The new server has been successfully deployed and is working properly. Towers can now be fought over.

And so it begins.... ;)

Don't break the Taylor, either!

It's unplayable right now, getting teleported 20 hexes away every 3 minutes.

If you log out, wait a minute, then log back in, you'll probably be back where you were before you ported. If you play after getting ported, you'll almost certainly end up porting again later.

That's been my experience, anyway.

Nothing better than being teleported 30 hexes away then not getting teleported back.

I want a like button for this, but I think I have his 30 hexes beat (34 Tavernhold to 2 hexes south of Phaeros)!

Has anyone actually got this to work.

I tried to use the /settlementapply command to allocate my towers to keeper's pass and it kept saying "No such settlement" regardless of what combination of capitals and apostrophe I tried.

In addition to the vulnerability window not being set properly, they don't open when advertised. Currently seeing that the current one will open in minus twenty-one minutes.

The leaders of each settlement must have replied to GW. Settlement UI is a manual start up apparently and the next "batch" of settlement applications (or responses if you will) should be input Monday. Try after that. (Same problem with Deepforge and Forgeholm...neither exist as the moment.)

I was away at a convention from last Thirsday. Should I have received a message and should I have replied. Just carching up.

Settlement Management characters need to be assigned by a Goblinworks staff member. To become a Settlement Manager, please email customer.support@goblinworks.com, use "Assign Settlement Manager" in the subject of the email, send it from the email address associated with your goblinworks.com account, include your account name and the name of the character that you wish to have assigned as a Settlement Manager. We have an internal list of the people who have authority to make these requests based on the contact we've had with the groups in the Guild Land Rush. If we have any questions about your application, we'll contact you or the accounts we have on file to clarify. For now of course the only people who should be using this channel of contact are the existing 33 Settlement reps. This is not a process to ask for a new Settlement.

Changes to Settlement Management will usually be implemented around the start of daily server operations (approximately 10am Pacific Time) on week days but we'll do our best to expedite when we can. (This is a manual process for now. Once it is automated it will be smoother and more predictable.)

I received a message in the Chat box, telling me that I had been invited to join The Outsiders. I typed /vcaccept, and I got an error message saying that I had no outstanding invitations. Despite the error message, my character is now a member of The Outsiders.

Note: Once EE begins, I intend to be a member of a different company (Dream Seekers), but The Outsiders was the first Tavernhold company formed. I'm still not sure whether it's better for each settlement to have one company or several under this incarnation of WoT.

As Decius said to me the other night when I raised a similar concern:

"The benefits to having one Company are all practical; the benefits to having many Companies are all social."

Hope that helps you as much as it helped clarify things for me :)

Actually, I think it does help. Tavernhold has a pretty small group of players active right now, so for the rest of Alpha, I think we should choose the practical benefits (meaning everyone joins The Outsiders). Once EE begins, we should have more players online simultaneously, and the WoT systems limiting Company holdings might be in play. At that time, separate companies will have both ssocial and practical benefits.

Is the server stable after the 10/20/14 server maintenance?

(No teleporting bugs, no walking into sky or ground, things in the bank are still there, Tower points are working...)

By that measure, no. They don't happen every five minutes any more, but all of those things were still happening last night.

Edit: Tower points do work, and Towers can be captured. The PVP window timer is messed up, though.

Edit 2: Oops, I missed the phrase "after the 10/20/14 server maintenance". Tower capture did work yesterday, though.
