I think the subject line covers it fairly clearly - had my shipping email on the 18th of September, but still no sign of these. This will be the first shipment I've actually had as a subscriber, so interested to know how typical or otherwise this is as a time frame.
I'd be particularly interested to know whether anyone else in UK has received their stuff, but Europe generally is probably a good indication.

I have not received mine either. Copenhagen-Denmark.
I had also a subscription for the RotR from deck 2. It took normally two weeks to arrive. I have checked again the email I received on Sept 19th where I can see it appears another date:
"A package containing 8 items from Paizo Order #3266897 is expected to ship from the Paizo warehouse by Friday, September 26 via Standard Postal Delivery, estimated 9 to 36 business days in transit."
but on my subscription page it says:
"Pathfinder Adventure Card Game—Skull & Shackles Adventure Deck 2: Raiders of the Fever Sea shipped by 09/19/14 via USPS Package Service (estimated 9 to 36 business days in transit)"
Then I do not know if it was shipped on 19/09 or 26/09.
I hope it arrives soon... I want to play the alchemist :-)

The "should ship by Friday, September 26" message gets generated when they print your shipping label. They usually get it put on a truck within a day of that, but they do sometimes print huge quantities of labels, so they always have the message say it will ship by the end of the shipping cycle, which was September 26th this last time.
So it probably shipped the 19th.

Still waiting on mine - my local store will receive both add-on and AD2 plus the class decks this week. i am still waiting for allthese direct from Paizo.
Trying to convince myself - and my wife - that it is still worth keeping my subscription going.
Paizo have not even responded to my CS complaint about the quality of the printing and cutting of the boons on my S&S base set.
It's not been a good couple of months for this product which is a shame as it is a great game.

I got everything this weekend and picked it up yesterday. Lots of goodies. I don't have my big box though, because I and the Norwegian Postal Service failed to communicate early enough, so they sent it back.
I don't know, but here in Norway I just contacted the Postal Service via their customer support Facebook chat and they found the package, and gave me the tracking number from UPS. Though I was to late, they've already sent it back. That's what I get for being patient and waiting to long to ask after my package ;)

Wow, 9 to 36 business days in transit? I live in Oslo Norway and it usually takes 6 to 10 business days.

Still waiting up in Scotland for my 998 cards worth of goodness.
Expecting mine by the end of the end of the week if the 6 to 10 working day delivery is to be beleved. And to be fare they normaly do come with in that time period assuming customs don't hold them up like they did my base set.
I think we might get lucky on not getting held up by customs. The add-ons never normally do as they're under the £15 limit, although the base set did as it was over, but I've tracked down the line on the HMRC website that says
"Note that on all goods from outside the EU, Customs Duty is waived if the amount of duty calculated is £9 or under"
which, even with two decks, it should be

Ok got my notification of customs duty fees to pay so that means the box is sitting in the Glasgow sorting office somewhere. So Should have it by the weekend barring any other problems :-)
How do they notify you? Is it a card through the letterbox? Or do paizo include phone/email details with the shipping?

For the base set, I got a letter from Parcelforce with details for logging onto their website, which lets you pay the dues and organise redelivery

Finally got a note through the door today, saying a package had arrived.
As the character add-on was delayed by a month, and lumped in together with adventure 2, it had taken it over the customs threshold, and by the time they'd added handling charges, I was looking at £12 to Royal Mail to actually get hold of my parcel.
I drove to the depot, got the box, opened it up, and found a class deck. And a cardboard sleeve for adventure 2, containing another class deck!
I am getting seriously fed up with this whole mess.
(I am also emailing customer service about this, before someone makes the inevitable suggestion.)

Still nothing here either - just outside North London.
Giving up on the subscription process - going to pick up an add-on deck from local store as they appear more important to Paizo than subscribers and have it in stock.
Still no response either from CS regarding the poor quality boons in my base set - both printing and cutting problems.
Extremely disappointed with how poorly the whole S&S fiasco has been managed since it went off the rails at Gencon.
It really does feel subscribers are bottom of the pile in terms of resolution (order fulfillment and CS issues) as it would appear we are viewed as guaranteed income.

In this context, this will sound like a whinge, but it's actually intended as a genuine questions:
Does anyone have any knowledge as to why it takes so long for parcels to be shipped? Or what exactly takes the time?
I'm aware there's various bits of sorting at depots and being driven in trucks and put on planes and things, but even a conservative - and incredibly rough - estimate I put at about 10 days max? Or is it much more complicated than I think?

I don't have great knowledge of this, but I know you can't track the package, but I get the impression that is more because of the shipping system Paizo has in place, not because the package has no tracking number associated with it. If it is sent First Class International, when you do get a package, have you checked for a tracking number on it to see if you can see the history of where it went and when it went there? That would give you some insight into it.

Our transit times come directly from the delivery service (USPS, UPS, etc.), as they vary by service and destination; we then add our own processing time to that estimate when we present it to you.
As an example, quoted delivery times on USPS Priority Mail International vary from 6–10 business days (and come with the disclaimer that that range is not guaranteed, and represents an "average number of days" and only applies in "many major markets"). The less expensive First Class Package International service varies from 7–21 business days, with similar disclaimers applied.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
In addition to "travel distance", I'm going to go with ""the bureaucracy associated with customs and duties" (because even if none apply, they still have to verify and record that none apply) and with "converting things from a delivery system run by one entity to a delivery system run by another entity". Bundles of parcels need to be unbundled, regrouped, and rebundled. And everything has to be accounted for, not just for tracking purposes, but for the purposes of determining who gets paid how much for handling it. And another big factor is "the amount of stuff handled at the same time but with higher priority shipping rates." This, perhaps more than anything else, is likely to be the cause of stuff sitting around for a while without being acted on.

International standard shipping for many countries is 9-36 business days. Sometimes packages can get through the postal system very quickly and sometimes it can take the full 36 business days. Customer service has been dealing with a significant backlog for the past several months. Recently we were going over 2000 emails pending. I'm sorry that customers' issues are getting caught up in this, we're going as fast as we can, plus doing overtime (currently at 842).
If you do have a customer service issue, please make sure you let us know either in the customer service messageboards by email at customer.service@paizo.com or by phone 425-250-0800. I usually try to skim the rest of the messageboards, but its crazy busy here and the chances are slim that I will see customer service issues unless they are posted in the CS forums. Things are taking a bit for us to get them resolved because of the sheer number of requests, but we are dedicated to resolving them.
thanks

Thanks, and I certainly shall if needs be. At the moment, it's only 'not here as fast as I'd hoped it might be' rather than 'actually late' - I make this the 12th business day since the 'ship by' date of 26 Sep, or, if my order details are right and it actually shipped 18 Sep, still only the 18th day
