Finding a tankard for my character (not clay)

Pathfinder Society

so i took humble begginings for my rouge and chose a mug as my weapon, but all i can find is a clay tankard (which is bound to break) in the core rule book, is there somewhere on the approved list that I can get a metal/wood tankard? thanks for the help.

might be a bit pricey for what you want... but here you go...

Go to Tankard of the Drunken Hero..

Silver Crusade 3/5

The Ultimate equipment entry for the basic Mug/Tankard says " Tankards are commonly made out of clay or tin." So you can just buy a basic one, it can be made of metal.

while this sounds good to me (if I where the judge) - I would like to add that I could totally see a guy with 30+ clay mugs, each good for one hit/shot. BOOM! and clay shards go everywhere... and the concept of throwing them! LOL!

Huh... had never seen the humble beginnings trait before... fun!

Imagining a character walking around with a bucket.

When I played Confirmation and our group killed the minatour, I got the GM to approve a minatour drinking horn on my chronicle sheet.

How much damage does a tankard do?

Scarab Sages

Probably acts as a club, if it's following the rules for improvised weapons, so 1d6.

They say nothing can cut a minotaur horn. Are you sure that's a minotaur horn?

Ah, I totally missed that. I like it. Totally un-optimized, but if most of your damage is coming from something other than the weapon, such as a rogue's sneak attacks, then why not?

Hmm... I smell a warpriest of Caylen Caiden in the making...

So, next question. Since a tankard can be made of metal, does that mean the metal special materials rules apply? You could make it Mithral for 500 gp. (And it would be non-stick to boot)

Yep, special materials would be fine. You can get an adamantine waffle iron somewhere on an equipment list already.

Yeah. And since it acts as if you had Catch Off Guard with it, combine it with a Disarm and you treat opponents as flat-footed.

You can get a mithral waffle iron. I don't think you can get adamantine.

(Mithral is the only metal with a price for "other items")

Do natural attacks count as unarmed?

Humble Beginnings+Improved/Greater Disarm+Bludgeoner+Sap Adept+Sap Master...Actually sounds very nasty.

Hmmmm...

1-Sap Adept, Bludgeoner(Human bonus)
2-Combat Expertise (Rogue Bonus-Combat Trick)
3-Improved Disarm
5-Sap Master

Against unarmed targets deals 6d6+12 nonlethal sneak attack damage with every hit.
