Indeed, we are happy to have Kobold Cleaver join us. As well as start participating in loincloth Wednesdays.

Indeed the first day the alternate image appeared was a very funny day indeed. Around about the time Sebastian became a pony.
Tavernhold: We're just here to have fun. ;)
Well done as always, KC! Congratulations, Tavernhold!
Yeah, Baldo and I were actually talking about finding out whether KC was a free agent when KC offered up his application to our settlement.
And, mysteriously, Loot and Scoot "The lootinest scootinest guild around!" appears to have folded earlier today.

"What time is it," shouts the elf to the howling wind. "It's..., uh, Wednesday, the sun's over there and I'm carrying not one but three bottles on me... right! It's Gobo Hunting Time!"
He quickly removes his clothing with a flourish and raises his fists into the air as if cheering before an imaginary crowd but the only sound to be heard is that of his loincloth flapping in the breeze.
"Now where are you hiding little Gobo," he shouts at the wind once more. Picking up a longsword and a holster of wine bottles from his discarded garments, the elf scans the horizon. Suddenly something catches his eye and he sprints after it.
Terrified of the bizarre long ear chasing it, the goblin runs through the pass and heads west into the safety of the deep forest.
Not to be put off the trail, the elf takes a long pull from one of his bottles and chases after it.
Time blurs into a rush of passing tree trunks and stomping feet. When he finally stops, the elf notices that the sun is in quite a different place and the mountains have long since vanished from view. His bottles seem to have magically emptied as well.
Squinting, because it helps, he sees that the little fella he has been chasing has led him to a wonderful magical place. A place where the air is thick with booze and no one is looking at him strangely. (Storyteller's note: This he imagined. Everyone was looking at him strangely.)
"I have no idea where I am," he exclaims with glee. "I think I'll stay awhile."
And so it was that Stone Bear Clan entered Tavernhold.
(SBC is now counted among the Companies of Tavernhold. Thank you for the warm welcome. I look forward to meeting you all.)
Welcome to all the Stone Bears! Have a brew!
Maybe we should throw another log on the fire. Loincloths can be chilly.
Very Nice. ^^^ That up there. ^^^^

I heard the story, and believe it's true. Have you seen KC's alternate image that shows up when he includes that word? You're half right. The original sm_rfs are from before my time (by about six months), though I did help inspire Teter's next joke a short while later.
Is everybody listening to me? Good.
Help!
Sorry, that is incorrect. What I meant to say was,
[YAPYAPYAP I AM GOING TO UNWITTINGLY PLAY THE PART OF AN ACTUAL ANNOYING KOBOLD FOR THE NEXT FIVE-TO-EIGHT YEARS]
Augh! Do I post pictures of you from when you were eleven?
Well, no, because I don't have any. And I totally would if I did.
Anyways, Grickin actually never celebrates Loincloth Wednesdays. Or, he does, but not by getting out of his armor. He just gets really drunk and crawls into his Sleepin' Barrel (which he took with him when he left Freevale, thank-you-very-much).
I'm not bringing Loincloth Wednesdays with me, though.

Fun fact: In addition to the new avatar, Teter also removed some of my old smrfguards that April. I mean, safeguards.
See, I had a few ways to say smrf without really saying, y'know, smrf. On that day, not only did he change my avatar, he rigged those workarounds and a few vaguely related words like "mushroom". He fixed mushroom, apparently kept the underscore workaround you see above, but I can't remember if he switched "smrf" back to being a valid loophole or not.
EDIT: Also, that's actually not my first forum post Nihimon linked. But I keep my original account name on Paizo a closely-guarded secret. :)
I think I have a cleavergraine.
In any event, congrats to the new citizens of Tavernhold, and Tavernhold as well, for finding each other. May your tankards be ever full.
Announcement: Tavernhold will now be called "Tavernkobold".

And I meant it about the wit and the charm and the hats off...

So, need more beer, grog, and ale. Extra firewood on Wednesdays.
I might need to start writing this down.

I'm fine. We dwarves have a low profile.
Those weights aren't for stopping people form blowing away and
Low profile + Windblown Loincloth = ....

lol i'd forgotten about this. I remember the first day the blue folk showed up, and the pages and pages of them that appeared to a lot of confused posters, kind of like when everyone got Mona-fied for the first time. You and Teter managed to take it to another level and added the icing to the cake :)
Heh, you really DO learn something new every day! :p

It's not even that simple—"Kobold Cleaver" flat-out wasn't my first user account. ;P

Congrats to the new growth for Tavernhold!
Thanks!
You gotta keep growing, though. Even staying the same is a loss of growth.

I'm pleased to announce that Outsiders will be joining new friends and old in the ever growing community of Tavernhold.
Looking forward to lifting a mug with the other members at Tavernhold's local watering hole... and my tavern, the Barge Inn, down the road... and the tavern at the crossroads... and many other fine drinking establishments. :]
Great to have y'all, CBD!

We tried Red Banshee Friday. I enjoyed it, but I am partial to red ales.
One more for Fool's Company! :)
Only a Fool would join that Company! Welcome.
Auditions are held every evening. Bring your own gimmick and silly attire. Errand running a plus.
For those not auditioning, seating is provided to watch the show audition. Two drink minimum.
Or I suspect Tavernhold has the highest percentage of clerics of Desna anywhere, and other clerics will be supported. Lpcke came here when told his other community would not train clerics. Come see what freedom is offered.
Cool. :)
I was referring to Evil Queen our newest member. (She is not really evil; she's just drawn that way.)
