Not sure how to play with others.
Some thoughts: Q3 lists communication I follow, check all. Q4 is how often; but not all Q3 are followed at same repeat rate, e.g. I do not expect Gobbocat to repeat daily, but hover waiting for the next every couple of weeks.
There will not be gather quests as such, but there have been some things included in the escalations to bring N of X to cast spell to …. There are achievements that require gathering to advance gathering type skills higher. I suspect that will not be very "grinding" on a commoner. I do not expect deity missions from a sandbox like PfO for a long time. THere was discussion of possibility of that type of thing in Gobbocast 18, but that sounds a long way of, possibly long past OE.
I suspect that shortly after EE, we will be asked what next. Boats, core roles, core races, feuds, SAD, POI, outposts, siege, a lll the other things are discussing that will not be in MVP…. After a week of EE, there will be a list of the things that are most needed. The designers will then expand their designs and they will be developed. Simple thoughts are not simply done (just tell me how be implemented and then planning for feats, et al. will be better and fewer wasted XP). Unfortunately there is a lot of thought that has to go into the new items that are not part of MVP (if they were simple they would be part of MVP). And if such a description was published now and it was killer, it would be adjusted; if %*^)##, it would be adjusted. The designs are not coin tosses. The production is challenging and will require adjustment of the design. And this will iterate.
If it were me and all consequences aside, E is currently the best single spot. Some coal, some wood (for cookies), not very close to iron, but close enough given lack of other prospectors. Close enough to between lots of coal and lots of iron to be commerce or big iron. F is too far from iron. AB is too far from coal and food, and not very close to wood which may be close enough as other will not contest.
