Bonus Feats at 1st Level?

Advice

Other than a Fighter and a Monk... do any other classes / prestige classes get a bonus feat (even if from a small list) at first level?

Even if from an archetype?

Apologies for the lazy question... just figured I'd rely on the collective Paizonian mind than research every book

Like the scribe scrool for wizard and Track for rangers? or you mean a selectable between some options?

Selectable between options

Gendarme cavalier

Probably some ACG classes.

Grand Lodge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Cleric-Crusader (archetype) is the only one I can think of off the top of my head that isn't already listed.

Cleric Crusader archetype.

Grand Lodge

The Fighter unbreakable archetype replaces the free fighter feat with two specified feats (Endurance and Diehard). Not a bad swap (Diehard requires Endurance as a pre-requisite).

Grand Lodge

Warpriests (ACG Playtest) get Weapon Focus as a bonus feat.

Alchemists get Brew Potion and Throw Anything.

Wizards get Scribe Scroll. Sorcerers get Eschew Materials.

Emissary Cavaliers get Mounted Combat.

Scarab Sages

Dawnflower Dervishes get Dervish Dance
Arcane Duelists get Arcane Strike

He said bonus feats selectable from a list, even if it is reduced, not specified bonus feats.

Scarab Sages

A list of one is still a list. Bonus feats at level one are bonus feats at level one.

Scarab Sages

Kensai: weapon proficiency or exotic weapon proficiency and weapon focus with the selected weapon.

Insert meme: its something! :/

I was just repeating an answer the OC gave to me.

Clerics and Inquisitors get proficiency with their deity's favored weapon. This is a "choice."

Some Oracles can get things at first.

Fighter: Dragoon picks up skill focus (mount) AND mounted combat at 1.

Fighter: Unarmed Fighter picks up "An unarmed fighter is proficient with all monk weapons, including exotic monk weapons." -- this is 17 exotic weapon proficiency feats. In addition, they get Improved Unarmed Fighting AND any style feat "The unarmed fighter need not meet all the prerequisites of the style feat he chooses" at 1.

[Exotic Monk Weapons: Knuckle Axe, Kama, Nunchaku, Sai, Siangham, Shuriken, Dan Bong, Emei Piercer, Fighting Fan, Nine-Section Whip (best weapon in game for most classes), Temple Sword, Bo Staff, Double-Chained Kama, Kusarigama, Kyoketsu Shoge, Seven-Branched Sword, Rope Dart]

Magus: Spire Defender picks up "as well as one exotic light or one-handed melee weapon [proficiency] that has the disarm or trip special feature." AND Combat Expertise AND Dodge at 1.

Choose 1:
[Exotic light and 1-handed melee weapons w/ disarm or trip: Swordbreaker Dagger, Flying Talon, Kama, Scorpion Whip, Hooked Axe, Khopesh, Whip, Sai, Tekko-kagi, Nine-Section Whip (best weapon in game for most classes), OR Temple Sword]

Monk: Sohei "A sohei may select Mounted Combat feats as bonus feats." AND "At 1st level, a sohei can always act in a surprise round"

Mounted Combat feats: Mounted Combat, Ride by Attack, Indomitable Mount, Massed Charge, Mounted Archery, Mounted Onslaught, Mounted Skirmisher (best feat for a 1 level dip), Mounted Shield, Trample, Trick Riding, Unseat, and Wheeling Charge.

Human.

Half-Elf chooses between Skill Focus, Martial Weapon Proficiency and Exotic Weapon Proficiency.

Cavaliers get a bonus Teamwork feat.

Some cleric domains grant a specific bonus feat, like Blind-fight from the Darkness domain or Scribe Scroll from the Rune domain.

Sorcerers get Eschew Materials.

Witches could use their 1st level Hex to get Cauldron, which grants them Brew Potion.

And if your GM gives you the option and uses 3pp, then you could pick up a major drawback for an extra feat.

Silver Crusade

Geisha Bards can choose 1 monk weapon to be proficient in.
