Desnan's Unite!

Pathfinder Online

The Exchange Goblinworks Executive Founder

I have noticed a few guilds with only member that claim Desna as their patron deity. We, the Dreamchasers/Dreamseekers do as well, and since we currently have 9 members and a decently secure spot in the rankings (currently at 22), I would like to extend an invitation to the Hammer of Desna, the Open Road (if you are of like mind, as I suspect), and any other lurking Desnans amongst the enrollees.

Join the Dreamchasers guild!

I'd kill you, but the damn butterflies would just bring you back.

OMG, I've never heard a The Secret World reference before.

That wasn't one either, in The Secret World it's the damn bees that bring you back.

The derailment dingos sniffed this one out quickly.

Curse you, vigilant and omniscient dingoes!

Probably too late to gather in any others, but one had to try.

Goblin Squad Member

You've got nine weeks plus a day to go; the "stick to your spot" bonuses probably won't appear insurmountable for a bit yet.

Goblin Squad Member

Actually, if you wanted to join us, that would be just awesome. From worshipers of one chaotic good deity to another.

Ah, bees. I was just quoting something from TV Tropes, but I was stuck on butterflies. Probably because it's butterflies in Alice: Madness Returns. ;D

Many a witch take their prayers to The Great Dreamer. Not Old Buurz! No time to for snoozin' though me hope Lamashtu falls into a deep slumber only to wake to Desna's wrath!

<takes a few swigs of her mead>

Nasty, ugly thing that Lamashtu. Many an evil witch follow her sickening worship! And many are dead at the hands of Buurz!

hehehe, this community is great :p

Not at all. I'm very down with Desna and if I didn't already have a spot I'd be looking at a Desna-based group with a lot of interest.

6000+ people backed the Kickstarter and more signed up since, but less than 1000 Land Rush votes have been cast. Loads of dreamers and gamblers are going to be coming your way over the next nine weeks.

Alternately if you like the ideas of where The Golden Flask want to settle down they're buds with Cayden Cailean and you could all party together (your two companys vote together in the land rush for a place to share). They're #10 among active LR groups (listed #13 but subtract the three that already have been awarded settlements). Cayden and Desna joining forces stand a (lucky?) chance of getting a nice room with a view.

Goblin Squad Member

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Settlements will be made of many groups. Might as well start as a community than try and form one after the fact.

Goblin Squad Member

Discussions are underway ;) We'd shoot up to #8/11 together which would be pretty sweet.

Drunken butterflies everywhere!

A Desna based group would not be settlement focused. A group seeking to create a settlement based upon Desna does not know Desna. Freedom to travel

A Desna Charter would be a multi-settlement with shrines along the rods.

Goblin Squad Member

2 people marked this as a favorite.

So, the perma-taverns are going to be along the roads, and will be dedicated to no single Settlement. I sense Desna-shrines!

Goblin Squad Member

Freevale is always open to those of the Freedom loving mind and soul.

Desna is also stars, luck, and dreams; it's not 100% traveling. Desna has a stationary home in a star between travels and it's hard to build a mobile observatory. While most shrines are simple things along the road no one said it CAN'T be bigger if it's doing Good that Desna favors. Being chaotic she's not going to insist on particular rules that strongly. I mean, there are entire nations that worship Desna that haven't moved once!

A shrine or temple can be in a settlement. But a settlement dedicated to Desna? POI dedicated yes, but, settlement?

My character does intend to establish a shrine and maybe as a settlement chartered company, but not as a settlement founding company.. It is just a curious ….

Though I am unable to join you, at the very least you can count me as a friend and fellow Desnan.

At least you know you have pretty good neighbors around you as you strive to keep your hex.

Hooray the Dream town is so close to mine! I look forward to walking down the hill for a visit.

Also, if/when player-made roads happen your spot seems like it will be on a highly traveled one between Fort Inevitable and Thornkeep (trade highway passing by the SE settlements between the two NPC towns).

My vote is for The Golden Flask to unite with the Dreamchasers and move south, but that's just selfishly so your home tavern will be closer to Keeper's Pass...I'm still looking for a Golden Flask franchise tavern to come up our way ASAP! If that tavern happened to have an associated shrine of Desna that would be even better. And of course, we're up higher so that'll be prime star-gazing terrain.

Goblin Squad Member

As a Desna cleric in Keeper's Pass, I would welcome your presence. And there are other Desna clerics here.
I (speaking for myself and not KotC) would really like to see a Desna shrine in the Pass or the single mountain hex connected to the pass. Come help build it.

Tavern plus Desna shrine in one place. I approve!

Goblin Squad Member

It is tempting, but we like our spot up north. So many badlands :p

Welcome Dreamchasers to Tavernhold!

Goblin Squad Member

Good fit and good Luck!

Goblinworks Executive Founder

Yes. After much deliberation over the many tempting offers we had, we decided to join with our Caydenite brethren, and make Tavernhold our home base. Still, we welcome any fellow Desnan's to join both our group (at desnanseekers.enjin.com) and this wonderful, burgeoning settlement of Tavernhold.

Goblin Squad Member

We figured it would be equal in devotions. They'll have a temple and we'll have a tavern, so everyone has a place to worship.
