My PC's are going to come upon a one soon and I've been thinking about making the encounter with this young dragon special, so I was thinking about making a special clip for his 'reactions' to the players.
But seeing as it's a young dragon, how deep would his voice really be? I made this little sample of what I had in mind, but I'm worried I'm making his voice too deep, what do you guys think? If it's too deep I might save that for a dragon later on. ;)

But if it is larger then medium I'd expect a deep and possibly booming voice. Whispering for a dragon is cool and subtle and even a large or huge dragon whispering will be this penetrating far carrying and somewhat hissing sound.

It's a white dragon, so it would be medium, that's why I'm unsure if it'd really have a deep voice at all.
Sounds like he just took a DEEP breath of helium?

A white dragon is relatively small for the evil dragons and relatively stupid (for a dragon).
They will get irratable if outside their natural environment of the cold.Don't make them too subtle because white dragons aren't very subtle, but their voices will still be pretty deep. A young white dragon can be easily provoked to an attack as they are relatively agressive of themselves. They like their food frozen and will employ their breath weapon to freeze their food before they eat it.
Always remember that a white dragon is a dragon and therefor not stupid, it's just if you're comparing dragons they are the dimmest bulbs.
I totally want a very young gold dragon to have a valley girl voice. I mean, blondes DO have more fun after all ;)
In music theory, the larger an instrument the deeper its sound (compare trumpets to trombones to tubas). In essence, our voice boxes are instruments so how deep the dragon's voice is should be comparable to its size. Is the dragon the size of a man? His voice is probably about as deep as a man's (or woman's) too. Is he the size of a child? Of an infant? Of a house?
Think about how big your dragon is.
