I rolled for the initial stats in the presence of my GM tonight, rolls gave me STR 16 DEX 18 CON 17 INT 17 WIS 17 CHA 17, i took the race of Hobgoblin to give +2 to both DEX and CON with no minuses.
I need to get this character set up before next Monday (the next night we're playing) as I am needing the back up character (based on the situation we stopped in tonight, I doubt my character that I am currently using will be alive for too much longer, but then again I might be surprised.
Everything else needs to be finished out, including skills, feats, fort/reflex/will, BAB, CMB/CMD, weapons, etc. I would like to have a possibility of having a small melee weapon just in case I get into those kind of situations but intend to do most of my fighting from a distance (hence the choosing of gunslinger).
I did choose a racial trait of Battle-hardened, but everything else still needs set up. starting gold is 16,000 gp but the group has a bit extra if I need it (also for getting bullets). Average group size is 5-6 players per week.
Thank you in advance for your assistance with the build, as I don't actually own any of the books except the core book which is on my tablet.
P.S. my HP will be rolled in presence of the GM next week, after i get all my gear and everything else finished. That part does not need to be worried about at the moment.

Holy cow! What is that a ~66 point buy? Wow.
With stats like those any class you go with, even perhaps a rogue will be fine.
That said...
Early Firearms assumed.
Archetype: either Pistolero or Musket Master.
Sample Musket Master
1: Point Blank Shot, Rapid Reload(musket=standard)
2: Nimble+1
3: Precise Shot, Fast Musket (Reload as 1-handed=move)
4: Bonus Feat: Rapid Shot
5: Deadly Aim, Musket Training (+dex on damage)
6: Nimble+2
Sample Pistolero
Simular build progression, but Precise Shot comes late.
1: Point Blank Shot
2: Nimble+1
3: Rapid Reload (reload=move)
4: Bonus Feat: Rapid Shot
5: Deadly Aim, Pistol Training (+dex on damage)
6: Nimble+2
7: Precise Shot
Be sure to have 1 rank or more in Craft(Alchemy).
Use Alchemical cartridges for using Rapid Shot or iterative attacks. (Reload free, but misfire goes up.)
Default ammo should be cold iron.
Spend 5 gp for silver blanch on 10 ammo.
Carry regular ammo as well, unless money is not an issue.
If you know the rules, you can use trovetokens, a browser based character maker. If you need some of the rules format then I'd suggest pcgen (if you are poor like me :) or scoreforge. If you have the bucks, then herolab.
PCGen is my personal favorite.
If you prefer manually building your character, all the rules are available in Paizo's PRD.

If both archetypes have the same mis-fire chance, then I would like to get the one that has the higher average of damage output. If there is one that has less chance of misfiring then I would like that one.
Also, I need to know what gear I should be getting, at Level 6, I get 16,000 gold to start with, and that also needs to provide for the bullets for whatever guns I get.
If there is any extra slots available for it, I'd like to get an animal companion as well, as I like extra things to do.
Let's get this character finished, and anyone who contributes may use it. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

All of the information you are looking for is available for free whether it is in the PRD http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/
Or a second party website such as Archives of Nethys http://www.archivesofnethys.com/Default.aspx
Google PCGen, download, and install it and you'll have a character generator.
Gear?
Probably recommend a +1 (whatever firearm) with the Reliable enchantment.
The rest is up to you.
If you are not sure, use the handy search function for these advice forums and looks for "gunslinger build" there will be many many examples. You just need to adjust them for your stats and race.

jesus, those stats. i thought gunslingers were op beforehand but WOWZA. honestly with stats like that id just rock a musket master or pistolero depending on what flavor you want, and build straight along their regular path, point blank, rapid reload, precise shot, etc etc. pcgen is... ok, at best. if you build lots of characters and play lots of games nothing beats Hero Lab, but it can get pricey. only thing id tell you different than Rerednaw is Quick Draw and multiple pistols can save you a few reloading feats for your pistolero. become the shooty shooty bang bang of legend, and tell every knight what you think of their Heavy Armor.
EDIT: i went back and re-read your initial question, give me an hour or so and ill have a decent sample build for you to critique and tweak, and you can be on your way.

while im doing this, the difference between musket master and pistolero really just comes down to flavor, but the musket master will have slightly longer range, and i believe slightly high average damage, but not so much as to make a huge difference, so its really up to the flavor, which would you prefer to play? A Long-gun toting bullet-jockey that puts lots of lead downrange in a single turn and hits like a beast, laughing as the grit roll's in, or the six-shooter toting badass who lets his enemies know precisely who it is thats blasting holes right through their skin/scales/hide/chestplate like its made of paper machete?

Unnamed Slinger
Hobgoblin Gunslinger (Pistolero) 6
Medium humanoid (goblinoid)
Init +7; Senses darkvision 60 ft.; Perception +12
--------------------
Defense
--------------------
AC 17, touch 17, flat-footed 10 (+5 Dex, +2 dodge)
hp 71 (6d10+31)
Fort +10, Ref +10, Will +5
--------------------
Offense
--------------------
Speed 30 ft.
Ranged +1 revolver +12/+7 (1d8+6/×4)
(this gun hits touch AC within its normal range, additionally it missfires on a roll of 1, and after its first missfire if it is not cleared it missfires on a 3 or lower, it then explodes and blah blah blah it probably wont happen much so dont worry about it. it is reloaded after SIX SHOTS, and is always a MOVE ACTION to reload (after feats and that jazz. it can never be quicker unless your gm says so) but lets face it, if you dont kill it in 6 shots... run bro. just run.)
Melee MWK Longsword +9/+3 (1d8+3/x2)
NOTE: i have you using a Revolver, this is an ADVANCED FIREARM and will need to be cleared with your GM, if he does NOT allow this then you will need to swap this out with your standard pair of pistols, which is simple enough.
--------------------
Statistics
--------------------
Str 16, Dex 20, Con 20, Int 17, Wis 17, Cha 17
NOTE: I put your fourth-level increase to stats in CON, i feel this is a wise choice, but you should feel free to allocate it wherever you want.
Base Atk +6 (YOU ARE FULL BAB); CMB +9; CMD 27
Feats Gunsmithing(class), Point-Blank Shot(level1), Precise Shot(level 3), Rapid Reload(gunslinger bonus fear), Rapid Shot(level 5) (i personally recommend QUICKDRAW for your level 7 feat, as it will allow you to combine WEAPON CORDS and quickdraw to RELOAD BOTH GUNS IN ONE ROUND)
Skills Acrobatics +14, Bluff +12, Climb +10, Craft (alchemy) +7, Craft (firearms) +10, Handle Animal +10,
Intimidate +10, Perception +12, Ride +9, Sleight of Hand +9, Stealth +10, Survival +10, Swim +10
(NOTE: I took a few liberties here, as you didnt say what skills you want. suffice it to say that this skill distrobution is BALANCED and FAIR for a character of your stats, but again, feel free to change them at your discretion)
Languages Common, Draconic, Giant, Goblin, Infernal (again, i took a few liberties here, please tweak the languages to suit your campaign, only common and goblin are required for a hobgob)
SQ
deed: gunslinger initiative, deed: gunslinger's dodge, deed: pistol-whip, deed: quick clear, deed: utility
shot, grit, pistol training, deed: up close and deadly
Other Gear mithral chain shirt (masterwork, ripe for enchanting. probably the best body slot youll get at this level), +1 revolver(see above), firearm bullet (40)(ammunition for your secondary weapon if something happens to the first), metal cartridge (30)(these are expensive, and id never carry many more of these than i have to, but they're the ammo for your REVOLVER i would talk to your gm about allowing you to recover 4 of every 5 casings you shoot, and use craft alch/firearms to reload them with materials, this WILL save you money, if he's agreeable), endless bandolier (for 1500 this gets you 60 slots for bullets, room for three firearms, and a handful or two of powder for your secondary firearm all stored in an extra-dimmensional space and safe from loose sparks and explosions. nifty, huh?),
heavy horse (combat trained)(you said you wanted a horsey, i got you a horsey, itll ride into battle with you shooting its damned ears out and not even question it. costs 300g and doesnt have armor, so be careful damn you.)(p.s. it has a 1d4+5 bite at +5 to hit, and two 1d6+2 hooves at +0 to hit, but it only has 19 hp and 15 AC so i highly recommend you GET OFF IT BEFORE SOMEONE KILLS IT TO STOP YOUR SHOOTING), 4935 gp(before the cost of a second pistol, if your GM doesnt like the revolver idea.)
ANOTHER NOTE: i did not buy you and POTIONS or SCROLLS or WANDS. i do not know what kind of campaign you are running, what the availability of goods are, or what kinds you will even need, i would recommend a few nifty little potions and a WAND OF CURE LIGHT WOUNDS so that your cleric doesnt have to waste all his healing on you. additionally i recommend SILVER BLANCH for those nasty fey and OIL OF SILENCE for those sneaky missions (yes! you get to be james bond too!)
--------------------
TRACKED RESOURCES

Point-Blank Shot +1 to attack and damage rolls with ranged weapons at up to 30 feet.
Precise Shot You don't get -4 to hit when shooting or throwing into melee.
That pretty much wraps up the build, i kinda like it. let me know if you have any questions or concerns, and ill be glad to tweak it.
EDIT: i wish i had read the dates on earlier posts, saw it was the second or third most recently posted in and went to town. oh well, at least he can compare to mine and see what he likes more xD
