Okay, some context.
our party is escorting a VIP with a bounty on her head. Due to the fact that she has been dressed as a man from the initial meeting onward and the rest of the party failed to see through her disguise everyone thinks she's a guy IC, except the cleric who put 2 and 2 together when healing a crossbow bolt through her shoulder (with mundane skills).
Now the wanted posters all had pictures of her male disguise so we figured that the best way to slip under the radar with her was for her to take off said disguise. As the group wizard I then decided to mess with the rest of the group and work with our contact to pretend that 'he' was turned into a she by my magic.
The catch is that I'm level 1 at this point and I need something up my sleeve in case called on to perform the same trick again!
Also, convinced some shmuck that I'd cast a Geas spell on him a bit later. that was fun.
Anyway, thoughts?

I think you could convince your party to not look to closely at the 'spell' by saying the only way they could truely understand it is by having it cast on THEM. Then being very willing to cast this 'gender reversal spell' on them.
If you pull it off, you know you have a bright future as a priest as Razmir.

Here are 2 lies you could use:
Say that they have to pass a psychological test so you are certain they can handle the physical and neural chemical changes that take place, in addition to the shock that could occur if they were to somehow forget that they changed. Then say that they failed and that it would be unsafe to cast the spell on them, and that their body might physically reject the spell against their will.
Or say that in an accident the spell page was ripped out of your spellbook, in addition to [list spells that you have never and will neve cast, to make it more plausible].
