Ps. THat is exactly what the players guide is. It even has crappy hand drawn (with some innacuracies) treasure maps you can hand out. I use stuff like this a lot. I like to pass it out a week in advance and let the players come to the dession with several ideas of what they want to do.
Main benefit is it saves real life game hours making gather info rolls and lets the players get right into the juicy bits.

I find player handouts to be incredibly useful just because the players think it means something, even if it is just a random picture to help them visualize. I realize the virtual gamers out there may not get much out of that, but those of us that do face to face gaming get a ton of mileage out of them. I have no issue with printing them myself, it even helps that they are supposed to be crappy copies sometimes...

We're through all but the last of the stretch goals already. I'm really psyched for this project! I hope the momentum continues so I can pick up that $5 player's guide so that, later when I finally have the product my players can completely ignore it and wander blindly through the campaign. C'MON FORUM!

So true.

btw--once unlocked, you can add multiple copies of the PG for the discount (hint, hint)--one for each player!
Seriously though--we will get to 30k I think.
That's why I already added on enough for all five of my players. No one will be left behind. And if they don't bother to read it, well then. When the scarey monsters eat their faces off, I'm not to blame.

It's the perfect DM deniability. "Your Honor, I had no idea he wouldn't read the players guide. I *bought* it for him! It's not *my* fault his face got eaten!"

So I see that we've hit all the stretch goals and the $5 Player's Guides are available as an Add On. So do I just change my pledge to $45 and then, when I get a survey I select the Player's Guide add on then? I ask because it's not giving me the chance to add it on right now.
That's odd, all you should need to do is use the pledge manager button, and then change the dollar amount. But if it's not working (and that sounds like your problem), then you should contact Kickstarter about it.

Question along the vein of possible stretch goals:
How well detailed is the closest city, Endhome? Could a more detailed map and description of the city by quarter be helpful? Is that already pretty thorough in the adventure? Or, maybe it is forthcoming in your campaing setting book?
Just curious as this is being co-billed as a mini-campaign as well as a mega-adventure. Putting more layers on the PC's homebase always helps them in immersion.

I agree with Kaiser - more is always better, but it doesn't need to be encounters. More detailed Endhome (as base) is a good thing.
Bill and Co. I have a question as it relates to the original hardcover for LCoB - were you planning on including the fold out map of Endhome which is pasted (and still pasted in my copy) of the book, or has that concept been removed with this re-release?

I think that we will have news relating to this question fairly soon. I don;t think that Bill wants to make any kind of promises until we've figured out a definite plan. It's not something that has been ruled out, though!

So far all the stretch goals have been wilderness encounters, so we probably don't need any more than that. I also agree a base would be cool, but it sounds like that's in the works for it's own product so I won't beat that dead horse. What about some fleshed out FEATURES then as a compromise. Doesn't need to be a base, but an extra group in the area added and detailed to provide potential aid to the party like a mercenary group or a traveling caravan. I've not played any FGG megadungeon type games but run several of my own. One thing my players have always liked and asked for more of in those types of games has been interesting NPCs to interact with in and around the dungeon; folks to provide useful intel, items, or resources.
TL/DR: I think if maps are too expensive and settlements aren't a thing, give us NPCs or useful groups added in as stretch goals.

You add 5 dollars to your total pledge, but do not adjust the pledge level. Then, when the Kickstarter closes you will be asked to fill out a survey telling Frog God what you want done with the additional dollars. At that time you'll be able to select the Player's Guides.
Done! Dearest Bill, if you keep adding even more amazing add ons to this project please understand you'll have to answer to my wife.

You'd be surprised at how good the WiFi is in Rappan Athuk. Tsar, not so much.Probably due to Tsar's stupid pall!!!!!

It is annoying - you need to get all the way to the top of the Black Gate just to get a signal. Problem with that is once I get up there I find myself staring out east into the wasteland and begin having daydreams of conquest.
Go figure.
It's because Belishan is hogging on the bandwidth on the wifi.

This might be a bit selfish of me to say, but when new stretch goals are posted, I hope we don't skip over the $10,000 gap that has been accomplished by backers so far. I mean, while the purpose of the goals is to stretch so technically retroactive bonuses don't fit with that, I'd hate to think that we'd miss out because we were too supportive too fast.

What are the size of the panels?
Generally around 81/2 x 11 (little smaller usually).
Map Size - I believe these will be in the ballpark of 17" x 22" for the 4 panel B&W, and 25 1/2" x 22" for the 6 panel. DO NOT quote me on that, but that's the typical size of 4- and 6- panel maps. I did not see the actual quote from the printer detailing size specs. But that's my (educated) guess.

I can't answer for FGG, but if the B&W larger Endhome map is the same that came in the back of the book it was keyed (had numbers) but was otherwise an overview of the town and the immediate area around the town. If they re-release this my suggestion would be a non-keyed, player friendly version.
The larger environs color map would have the names of famous or critical areas (Bards Gate, Rappan Athuk, etc) but beyond that would be similar to other large region maps and not give away much more.
I would suppose if the location of the Lost City was noted (as an example of an unknown location to the players) that would be relevant to it's use as a player friendly aid. I think the well known or rumored areas should be listed, but the smaller hidden dungeons should not.
Some feedback on this would be appreciated - I guess the degree it's keyed is going to factor into how often I bring it out for the players.

The problem with that as I see it is then you have to have two versions of the map. I personally don't an issue with a map with keyed areas on it and the players seeing it especially if they are just numbers. I never found the players versions of the JG old maps all that useful. I would vote for just one map myself.
