I'm working on my review format this year, it will of course start with the annual Template Fu, then progress to core theme, consistency on staying on theme, an assessment of cinematics - including the senses and whether they feature in your item, and then probably some more general meandering thoughts.
As always, I hope they will prove useful to you going forwards into the future rounds.
Robert, I believe you'll get an email. Basically treat it like you're in the competition, submitting a monster on deadline. If someone doesn't submit or has to drop out for some other reason, the alternates will replace them.

Congratulations, everybody! I'm extremely grateful to have the chance to be here again in the midst of such great talent. These are some awesome items, guys. And I'm really excited about the monster round, not just to unleash a new creature of my own on the world, but to see what you all come up with - I think the niche this year is just full of opportunities, and it's already clear this is a bunch that will make the best of it. Congrats, Top 32! This contest can be pretty nerve wracking but a lot of fun and I hope you all catch the freelance bug when you're finished.
Also, glad to see fellow Fat Goblin freelancer, Tyler Beck, in the mix this year and it looks like, if I'm remembering him correctly, we finally have another NH native as one of the alternatives!

I'm a little shocked to be here. I really didn't expect to get picked. I think that is the first item I've taken from idea to rules since my high school days...
I need to buckle down on creatures now. I've got concepts that need to move to paper! Well, pixel...
Let's blow the judges away! I want to hear moaning that it's hard to pick a winner.
Template Fu curls up contentedly in his masters lap in the timezone midnight UK chair. Moments later, they both drift off to sleep, no design pressures, safe in the knowledge that there are tasty review points to be eaten on the morrow.
Night all, don't stay up too late designing and editing, that way lies typos.
So I suppose this is the time to wonder aloud, how does being an alternate work?

I guess I'll kick off the get to know each other portion. My name is Clay and I live in Owasso, OK. I am an avid gamer of all kinds; card games, board games, video games, and of course pen(cil) and paper. I am going to go ahead and say that my Monday night Pathfinder group is officially the best. Our group has now produced last years winner, Steve Helt, and two top 32's this year; myself and Tyler Cowart. I wish everyone the best in this years contest and hope that I don't disappoint.

I'm glad Clay got this ball rolling, I hadn't wanted to be the first person to introduce himself.
My name's what it says on the tin, so to speak. I live in Newmarket, New Hampshire—over in ol' America—and am currently elbow-deep in Old Man Winter, much to my displeasure. I run the Pathfinder blog the Encounter Table and put out weekly, free OGL content through that. I've been playing tabletop games for way too long, currently run three Play-By-Post Pathfinder campaigns here on the Paizo forums on a post-apocalyptic alternate universe of Golarion. I worked in the video game industry as a content designer and concept artist about ten years ago, and— I am just really excited to be here!
Holy heck [real word choice redacted, obviously], Rob! I grew up in Lee! Had Newmarket as my mailing address for the first decade or so of life...
(Oh, and I'll reintroduce myself when I get a few more minutes, of course.)
