I just noticed I made Dedicated Voter. Woot!
I wasn't checking for a while, so maybe I'm way past it?

Maybe I don't get dwarves... Don't worry; beards only take a month to grow. I wish Just had that.
I voted it!

Hey, look at that - Dedicated!
Giant pain in the butt for gm item vs. does nothing item. Well. . . first, do no harm.

I'm done for a while. Have fun!
I'm seeing a lot of items that require the GM to do something. I don't think they read the "Do not do this" post.
"immediatly" has an "e" in it, preferably after the "t".

First solid item that I really like. Awesome visuals, enjoyed the writing style, solid ability. A keep in my book!

The item I like best so far was in the third pairing I got... perhaps it set unreasonable expectations for this years crop in my mind, because in the pairing since I have seen few that even come close to it.
Just found a new item that made it into my top three.
Items that manipulate time nearly always equal giant headaches for the GM.
I'm gonna take a break too. Food calls to me, and not the kind that includes humanoid body parts.

No, constant stream of items. Some of the players in the campaign I run actually bother investing ranks in that non-combat related skill.

FINALLY saw my item. I think I must've voted at least 700 times, no joke.

Wow, I am now firmly in the "less is more" camp. Just saw an item that started very strong and unraveled into a grab-bag of powers. D'oh.

Why is there a question mark in your item's title? Are you asking me a question? Do you expect me to be able to answer?
bugleyman wrote: Wow, I am now firmly in the "less is more" camp. Just saw an item that started very strong and unraveled into a grab-bag of powers. D'oh. I think those types of items annoy me the most, more than the unformatted, more than a pure (lame) joke item, more than the horribly broken and unashamed of that fact item... it is the emptiness following the promise that causes a little bit of my soul to die after reading each one...
bugleyman wrote: Wow, I am now firmly in the "less is more" camp. Just saw an item that started very strong and unraveled into a grab-bag of powers. D'oh. There definitely seems to be a sweet spot. Some of the shorter entries could have been really good with a little embellishment, and many of the longer items should have quit while they were ahead.

I've seen my item 3 times, my wife has seen my item twice. So, we've been very lucky.
Still haven't seen mine. :(
So all adventurers dream of endlessly reconfiguring their magic weapons, do they? I don't think so.

Edit: Really? "Phat" is actually considered a word? No red squiggle for "phat?"

So, if you see something notably good that can be mentioned in a non-specific way, feel free to mention it here. Let's be encouraging about the good in the contest.

I voted for your item twice now as it was better than the competition, but I'm not sure why you used that word in the title. You know the one the word that isn't reflected anywhere in the description. Yeah that one. When the top 32 are announced maybe you can explain it.
Thanks
Sincerely
Confused Voter
Because it sounded like the other word in the title. It even used most of the same letters.
Glad I can be of assistance.

But then I haven't seen mine.
I don't have an issue with the longer items. What I do not like though are the ones that do not have any formatting in the regards of starting new paragraphs. The giant wall of text makes it hard for me to keep my attention fully on critiquing the item.
