A construct isn't a device, it's a creature. So no go.

That's what I think.

While I wouldn't allow Disable device against an active construct, I probably would against a helpless one.

Looking at the Clockwork Spy's Self-Destruct ability;

It seems that if you wanted to "hack" a clockwork creature, Disable Device is the skill to use. The problem for me is if you're attempting a delicate operation on a constantly moving robot intent on killing you.

Of course there's no RAW method for "hacking" a clockwork, outside of the quote above, so it's very much a situation requiring GM approval.


They can be unwound...perhaps that could be done in combat!?


You can use disable device against this one demon that was listed in the world wound book but I think the creature has to call it out so no clockwork disabling.
