The Hirtz Factor |

I, likewise, will get you everything tonight. I just don't have time t put it all together for you now.
For the time being, a few points of interest to give you an idea about my character.
As cold as ice... High and mighty Elf... Historian of Time? (Being made of ice makes you immortal, right?)... Blaster Type Oracle... One sneaky son of a...you get the idea.
Also, normal wealth for a level 20 character is 880,000 gp. Do you wish for us to use 200,000 instead?

Ivanna Láska |

Also, I should mention that she is going for battle control and support as far as spells go. She will be able to help with melee and ranged combat via her eidolon and summoned creatures. I have not selected my one permanent summon from 20th level conjurer, and will not do so until after the game as started 9 if I'm in it). That way, GM can decide what is okay to keep story-wise.
I'll also be taking the leadership feat. If not allowed, I will not take any benefits from it (i.e. cohort and followers) and will have it simply as a fluff feat (wasted feat slot on an already semi-feat starved build).
I thought that at first we were doing 30 point-buy with 25 race points. I changed Ivanna to 25 point-buy to match until told otherwise.

Bobson |

I thought that at first we were doing 30 point-buy with 25 race points. I changed Ivanna to 25 point-buy to match until told otherwise.
Don't change based on me - I'm more likely to be wrong about 25/25 than anyone else, since I haven't been following along until the very end of the thread. It could be 30/25 or even 30/30, and I wouldn't be surprised. That's why I'm looking for a clear statement to confirm it.

Spoler Tags are not Cut & Pasting properly, but let me see what I can do....
Note: While this character is very cheesy, it is cheesy in an Anime' sort of way -- which means it needs the right audience (GM & other players) to really work right. Didn't notice that until after the initial submit.
Anime' Conventions used: Perverted Old Man, Plutonic Harem. We could implement LEO ("Low Earth Orbit" -- in other words, but socked into outer space & such) with a Metagame Artifact (q.v.).
Roger Lovarius "Peeping Tom" Thomas. Neutral Good "Gnome" (Aasimar w/ Gnome Appearance) with a penchant for voyeurism (his "fatal flaw"). Wizard 20 / Druid 20. Familiar: Lonnie Lara Lyrakie (Lyrakie). Cohort: Lanoth Luthenia Lumens (young Gold Dragoness). Animal Companion: Roc ("Roxie").
Lanoth is his conscience; Lonnie is the Temptress, though with a "good flair". "Time to have some fun!" sort of thing. Roxie is the bodyguard/mood indicator. His "animal nature", if you will.
"So, why are we here again?" the pretty blonde asked aloud. "So Roger can spy on the mayor's daughter" the silver-haired elf replied.
"No, I know that! I mean, why are we with Roger in the first place?"
There was silence as the large gaggle of women looked about. They were all above average in both attractiveness and intellect. In fact, there was not a single "commoner" among them. Herbalists. Healers. Acolytes. Soldiers. Scholars. Even a few noblewomen.
The women looked at Roger in unison. The squat, plump big-nosed gnome was hiding behind a bush, staring out at something. Presumably the mayor's daughter, but with him one never knew.
A young woman -- the Mayor's daughter -- came crashing through the bushes to Rogers left. Nope, he wasn't looking at the Mayor's daughter. The attractive politician put her hands on her hips and cleared her throat.
"Hush" Roger said under his breath, "your mother is taking a bath."
"You know Mom is going to have you run out of town, right?"
"What else is new?" Roger asked, still distracted.
"Take me with you!"
The gaggle of women looked incredulously. "You see!?!" asked the first. "I mean, why on earth are any of us here?"
"The Goddess of Wisdom has a strange sense of humor?" the silver-haired elf speculated.
Roger simply looked at the newest young woman.
"Oh come on! There's nothing for me here! And you can just drop me off at the nearest town ..."
"Won't work that way" the silver-haired Elf interrupted. "That's what we all said -- but we're still with him. Go home ... please."
"No! You get me out of this quaint little town! I want excitement! I want ... something besides tea with the Smithy!"
"Oh, right" the attractive blonde mused, "that's why we left. For excitement."
"Well, we do get that."
"Now listen" the Mayor's Daughter continued, "I know a secret! A merchant just came through town with a message -- there's immortality for anyone that can find this special village!"
Roger yawned.
"I'm already immortal. Discovered that secret a few years ago."
"I'm not" the young Dragoness, Lanoth, interjected. Lanoth was always trying to help Roger stay on the straight-and-narrow. It was a full time job. "Think of your followers. Don't you want to help them?"
"Yeah, I suppose" Roger answered less than enthusiastically.
"But if you find them Immortality" Lonnie said conspiratorially, "they'll always be pretty." The young Lyrakie always knew what to say when "duty" and "honor" weren't quite enough.
This got the Mage's attention.
"And wiser and more intelligent than ever" the Dragoness added. This got Roger's attention.
"Well what are we waiting for!?!"
"I hear" the Mayor's daughter added, "that there may be a Godhood available for those that qualify."
"You had me at 'always pretty' ..."
To continue 6: the large group would use the clues provided by the mysterious merchant, combined with spellcraft, to find the village. It would be a team effort.
GM Wolf: Spell &/or Armor Idea:
Steel Silk. Based on the spell "Silk to Steel", but more along the lines of "Ironwood". Would give Silk (specifically, Silk Armor) the hardness of steel but retain the flexibility of Silk. I haven't really put much thought into this, probably a level or two higher than Ironwood (since the ASF of silk armor is 0).
Just moved, internet is spotty. Well, actually I'm just too freakin' old to be sitting on the floor, and I don't have a Wi-Fi hub yet. I will have one Saturday.
Re: Cruch: Yes, that helps a lot. I am an old fart, so I call that a "Character Sheet". 'Cuz in the old days there was no room for "fluff" like concept on the character sheet (though, ironically enough, the "fluff" is now where I always start).
Off topic: has anyone else ever used a stack of 3x5 cards for their character(s)? (One stack = one character)

Monkeygod |

1. No psionics.
2. No gunslinger/Alch
3. I don't care where we start, but it would be fun for this to be multiplanar
4. Whatever is easiest for you, as long as its fun for us.
5. I'd be good with a solid split of everything.
Another thing to add #6: Magic
#7 Don't think so.
Following the theme of being the Ice King, I would like the Icecrown of Irrisen. Its a major artifact, but if its too powerful, I will craft a lesser version. Just thought I'd ask.
Well over fifteen hundred years ago a young boy deep in the heart of Iceland grew up hearing tales of The Dear Grandmother, Baba Yaga, The Queen of Witches. Most of his tribesmen were scared spitless of her, as any sane man would be, but Petrikov was never fully right in the head. Instead of fearing the Old Crone, he was enamored with her.
He was just a boy however, and had no power of his own. So he sought out legends and tales of beings that could grant him what he craved. While not fully of sound mind, Petrikov was smart. He reasoned that if he too could master the icy cold of winter, than perhaps he could catch the attention of Baba Yaga.
His quest long and perilous, the young man was not prepared for the harshness of the land beyond his village. His food ran out after a week, his clothing began to fall apart, and a vicious blizzard caught him by surprise. He was way too far way from any sort of shelter, and as he struggled to find some place to protect him from the storm, he stumbled right into a half frozen river.
At this point, Petrikov knew he was going to die, and never even laid eyes on his mythical love. As he was pulled down river, he called out to the heavens, asking for some sort of way to survive, promising he would do whatever it took to live.
Something answered his pleas. It might have been Mephistopheles, archdevil of the frozen, eighth layer of Hell. Perhaps it was Grandfather Winter. Or some other, unknown power of ice and cold. Whom or whatever it was, it pulled the half dead youth out of the waters and deposited him on the shore.
Along with a new lease on life, Petrikov also found himself in possession of new found powers. Mystickal powers, with a decidedly frozen bent.
More to come, for sure, if chosen.

Mr. Ziggles |

Whew! I got a chance to start working on my character for the next bit, so I figure that this is a good time to get some fluff done :)
Edit: Somehow I completely missed your reply post :P
1. So powerful charge is just bonus damage dice, nothing else? K I can work with that easilly :)
2. Sorry, this question was about the mount. What item slots does a mount have? Headband? Belt? Arms? I doubt the last one but some of the others are less cut and dried.
3. Great, so my mount can have 16 tricks (9 for int, 7 bonus) +combat trained (from cavalier) :)
4. Can we use ioun stones and can we implant them?
As for my guy and his complexity, ya... I have had his basic idea for a while now but never had the chance to build him up before. Now, I realize that was probably a good thing :) I would not have been able to do it before... Simplicity really IS nice :D

GM Wolf |

No, use 880,000 gp. I was just trying to remember.
Tenro I would suggest staying away from the machine race idea, unless a warforge.
Bobson, that would work, make a super human, or see the other human races made.
If you claim to have immortality you best have a darn good reason and explanation.
Icecrown of Irrisen, give me a link or give me the stats on it.
If your mount has an Intelligence of 3, it can only have 9 tricks.
A normal mount has a head, face, belt, body, vest/blanket, banner, and hoofs. Unless someone has a reference for me.

Tenro |

so warforged would be allowed? do you have a racial conversion you prefer for that, or should i approximate it using the ARG?
I was thinking something very similar to warforged statistically, but as far as looks it would be more fleshy (basically a fleshy body with significant machine alterations). How do you feel about that?
Also, how do you feel about the Half Construct? or a full construct?
i am working on my submission now, i will pick my race after hearing what's good from you along the Construct <---> Human spectrum. I am pretty flexible in terms of where along that spectrum i am shooting for, so i will use your input to narrow my target range.

The Hirtz Factor |

1. If you have a psionic class change it to a core class.
No psionics used from the beginning.
2. I will only allow one gunslinger or alchemist, if you don't want to change I will let those with those classes duel. I sure hope I don't have to make a braket.
Not using Gunslinger or Alchemist.
3. Where would you guys like to start and play in? The Desert Abyss, the Wastelands on the Abyss, Forests on a fey plane, etc.
I agree that a frozen wasteland would be fun. Though that is where my character would be more likely to be found, though he is just as likely to travel out into the planes in search of lore about his people in hopes of preserving it.
4. dungeon crawl, modified module, open area (protect the town, then find the threat, end the threat), shoot I dunno for 20s
I think a dungeon crawl or open area would be more my taste. I rather like to play Modules straight by the book.
5. How much combat/social encounters do you want? Massive battles against hordes of enemies? Epic battles against singular might foes? Intrigue at the school? Petty squabbles like little school kids (just because we are powerful doesn't mean we are mature...)? Fighting gods/becoming gods? Infiltration style even?
How much? 50/50, 25/75, 80/40, 90/10? Ex: 25 horde/ 25 intrigue/ 25 social/ 25 gaining godhood
50% Combat/50% Social/Subterfuge - 20% Intrigue/20% Horde/20% Social/20% Epic Battles/20% Gaining Godhood
6. how do you find this location?
Always in search of Elven Lore to preserve, he stumbled upon information leading him to believe that there might be something, or someone, of interest within the area.
7. are any of the other players allies of yours? enemies? competitors? How and why?
I can not say at this point in time. That would require a deeper understanding of the other players. If they are Elven it is possible they may know of him as a keeper of Elven secrets or even have run across him in their journeys. If they have a love of lore or artifact collecting, then they may have had dealings or conflicts with him.
I am open for suggestions of previous encounters with people. They need merely bring it to my attention that they would like such and we can discuss the details.
No, use 880,000 gp. I was just trying to remember.
Will do.
Bobson, that would work, make a super human, or see the other human races made.
I had been tempted to make an Azlanti that had somehow survived the decline of her/his race.
If you claim to have immortality you best have a darn good reason and explanation.
Would having shifted from a normal aging mortal shell to a body formed of magical ice be a good reason? An explanation of which is that NG the Hooded saw potential in him from an early age as his curiosity led him to seek out the secrets of his people and their connection to the Fey. In turn, he gifts him with the powers of winter to help him preserve the knowledge he found and, in turn, to preserve himself so that he might guard the knowledge he has acquired over his lifetime.

if you agree on that, i will build up from there. Note that it does use the half-construct subtype that you dont like, so if you dont like this, i am also working on an alternate RP build.

Monkeygod |

Fire Res 20, SR 32, +4 Enhancement to Int and Cha(ranks in Know(Local) and Sense Motive), Doesn't take penalties to physical stats due to aging.
Once per day can summon 3 elder ice elementals for 1 hour.
Constant-Tongues
At Will-Frigid Touch, Ice Crystal Teleport, Irriseni Mirror Sight, Unseen Servant.
3/day-Control Weather, Dominate Monster(cold subtype only), Ice Spears.
1/day-Overwhelming Presence, Polar Midnight.
Thematically, its supposed to be worn by one of Baba Yaga's daughter's, but the Ice King gets his powers from a crown in Adventure Time. This is a perfect fit.

Terrible Terry Tate |

Here's the Terrible Terry Tate.
The Terrible Terry tate videos...
Also looking at the human being 9 rp to build, I gave him dark strider, bonus feat and con and cha +2 from RP building.

Name: "The Tinkerer" Kavan Bertram III
Flavor Text: "I've got just the thing for that! You, uh... might want to back up a few more meters."
Alignment: N, with NG leanings
Races: Custom (modified warforged)
Classes: Artificer 20 / Machinesmith 20
Ability Scores: will do this math once race is approved
Identifying Characteristics: Kavan appears much like a statue of a man in armor, save that the armor is too close-fitting to be worn. His form could be considered almost skeletal, so thin is he. In truth, all unnecessary flesh has been stripped away, leaving a living construct. Metal encompases the remainder of his organs. A variety of panels and sockets used for modular modifications can be seen.
Crunch: haven't quite finished this part up yet, but it will be included in the full profile.
Equipment: His favorite weapon is a toss-up between the "Energy BMG Mk IV" and the "BMC Omni-tool" that he created. One shoots a variable blast of energy at a foe with a decent range, the other is an armored fist that also houses within it a variety of tools. His key equipment items are a variety of magical crossbows, weird science devices, and armor. I havent done the math on his assets yet.
Backstory: His earliest memory was being in the care of one Kavan Bertram II, a maniacal and understandably narcissistic mage of small reknown. His creator was a bit of a paranoid hermit and protected his lab with all manner of traps, monsters, and mazes. His prize creation was the creature you see before you, a result of the man's experiments on his own son. Possessing an insatiable curiosity and thirst for learning coupled with a desire to please his father, Kavan Bertram III absorbed knowledge like a sponge. His growth was stunted when his father cut away all useless flesh and replaced skin and bone with metal, but his mind continued to advance long after his father died from a failed attempt to operate on himself. Kavan Bertram III never knew his mother, and as far as he knows, she ran away before he was modified, over a century ago. Having nothing further to learn from the confines of his father's old laboratory, Kavan set out on his own to explore what could be learned of the world he had never experienced. He has become quite world-wise and capable, having had to escape more than his fair share of attempts to capture and dissect him. Undeterred, he sets forth with a friendly, if socially awkward demeanor and will use his means to help those he can. He has had incidents in the past where his desire to modify creatures has gotten him in trouble, and has learned that following that line of research must be done carefully and in secret, because a surprising (to him) number of people find it reprehensible.

Mr. Ziggles |

No neck slot for animal companions? So I cant give my Rhino a AoMF? Can I enchant his horn at all? Is there any way to enchant his natural attacks or am I out of luck?
As for tricks, From the Animal Companion Section.
The value given in this column is the total number of “bonus” tricks that the animal knows in addition to any that the druid might choose to teach it (see the Handle Animal skill). These bonus tricks don’t require any training time or Handle Animal checks, and they don’t count against the normal limit of tricks known by the animal. The druid selects these bonus tricks, and once selected, they can’t be changed.
The amount you get at 20th level is 7 btw.
You say you arnt feeling well? I am sorry to hear that :(
Heres hoping you get better soon ^-^
Ah, I found another idea (not one I am going to use, just a neat one)
The ultimate pure martial anticaster!
Human Mounted Fury Barbarian/Brawler Fighter 20
Take the FCB in barbarian and the superstition Rage Power and you get +15 on saves vs spells (with courageous enchant)
Barbarians get +4 vs mind effecting effects
Take Disruptive, Spellbreaker, Mounted Fury (greater) Sunder Enchantment and Spell Sunder rage powers.
Take teleport tactician for both you and your mount.
Brawler increases Concentration checks by 7.
Give your mount Rhino Charge.
Go for grappling :)
Now you get +19 on saves before anything else, casters near you have to make concentration checks at +13, casters provoke if they 5-ft step away from you, if they fail to cast defensively and if they try and teleport. Whenever they provoke an AOO, you can grapple them (increasing the concentration checks even more), sunder their Contingency spell, or surpress their freedom of movement :D And if you have a dispelling weapon, even better. You can ready a charge for if he casts a spell or just ready an attack for when he casts a spell. Oh ya, take step up and strike as well :)

Tenro |

2- Motion Analyzer (Ex): The machinesmith adds a module to his analyzer that allows him to find weaknesses in the defenses of foes and give him the best means of bypassing them. As a standard action he can spend one charge from his analyzer to study one foe he can see. For a number of rounds equal to his intelligence modifier the machinesmith gains +1 insight bonus on attack and damage rolls against that opponent. This bonus increases by +1 at 4th level and every 4 levels thereafter to a maximum of +5 at 20th level.
4- Extra Charges (Su): The machinesmith learns to efficiently increase the output from the mobius core located in his analyzer. The Analyzer gains 3 more charges for the machinesmith's use.
6- Utility Tool (Ex): The machinesmith may build an all purpose tool capable of performing a variety of different functions. Once per day as a full round action they can adjust the utility tool to function as any mundane item by making a level + intelligence modifier check with a DC equal to 5 + the item's to be replicated value in gold pieces. If successful the utility tool successfully copies the form and function of the mundane item until the next time the utility tool is adjusted. Failure on this check indicates that the utility tool malfunctions and cannot be used or adjusted until the next day.
8- Explosives Expert (Ex): The machinesmith learns to trigger explosives and similar effects in such a way as to create the most havoc. Whenever the machinesmith uses a spell, prototype, or item that deals damage in a radius they may add +2 to any DC's for Reflex saves on that effect. In addition they may add their intelligence modifier as a luck bonus to any damage dealt by the effect. A machinesmith must be at least 8th level before selecting this trick.
10- Magnetic Grappler (Ex): The machinesmith builds a powerful device that allows him to reach out and manipulate metallic objects. This device can either be held or worn on a hand taking up a ring magic item slot. As a standard action he can activate it to create an effect identical to the telekinesis spell using the machinesmith's level as the caster level with the exception that it can only affect primarily metallic objects. The machinesmith can use this gadget only after it has been charged. Charging the gadget requires a full hour of operating the hand crank on the gadget for five minutes of use. A machinesmith must be at least 9th level before selecting this trick.
12- Eye for Danger (Ex): Being accustomed to the sudden and often explosive hazards of operating mechanical devices hones the machinesmith to keep an eye out for the sudden and often lethal hazards of adventuring. The machine smith gains a +2 luck bonus on Reflex saves and initiative rolls.
14- Repair Flesh (Sp): The machinesmith learns to use his repair ability on living creatures to recover their hit points. However using this ability only heals half the normal damage.
16- Combat Trick (Ex): A machinesmith who selects this gadget trick gains a bonus combat feat. (Combat Reflexes)
18- Combat Trick (Ex): A machinesmith who selects this gadget trick gains a bonus combat feat. (Shield Focus)
20- Arcane Analyzer (Sp): The machinesmith installs a spell analysis and arcane energy capture module into his analyzer. The machinesmith, while wearing their analyzer, gains a bonus to Spellcraft checks of 1 for every 3 machinesmith levels they possess (minimum 1). When using their Axiom ability they may make a Spellcraft check with a DC of 25 + spell level to steal the dispelled spell. The analyzer may hold one spell at a time, and the spell remains available for 24 hours after it is stolen, retaining its original caster level and other effects. A machinesmith must be at least 7th level before selecting this trick.

No more applicants, unless you want to create one in case half the party dies and/or does not play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tenro that works, play with it! And yet you went that route, oh well.
And the Ice crown will run you how much, I think that blows over half your money. Make a weaker one.
Monkey write it in your background how you have acquired these spells, you speak of...
Neck slot, sure, enhance the horn as a weapon would be a no, though using permanency spell and a few other spells might be what you are looking for.

![]() |

As part Witch, how should I go about determining the total number of spells my familiar has?
While learning via a scroll costs gold, learning via another familiar does not, and it would not make sense that I haven't encountered other witches and that we swapped spells.
The book provides rules for that, the cost to learn from another is the cost scribing that lvl spell (which is very reasonable) so basically it's the scribe cost, and then if you have to scribe it, scribe costs x2 in the end.

Tenro |

Tenro that works, play with it! And yet you went that route, oh well.
what do you mean? i am trying to get the warforged feel without using options that you dislike.
also, i need one more day's time. i am working on my character still, and will be for about 45 more minutes tonight. however, it is almost time for me to go to bed (work tomorrow).
i am super excited about this character.

it's dictated by form for what animal companions can wear, a snake can't wear shoes due to no feet, likewise they can't wear necklaces due to know shoulders...
Many animal companions can wear multiple slots that others can't. I'll try and find rules for you, but many can wear necklaces I'm pretty sure, you can always double the cost to make it slotless =D

GM Wolf |

No worries, everyone is still working on their characters.
Tenro, I just saw your description of the warforge of a skeleton of metal with organs within. At this point do as you wish. Tenro preferred alternative accepted.
The list of those that are accepted: Azulth the Slayer, Mr. Ziggles, Oom, Lancekev, The Hirtz Factor, Sir Henrique, and Wilbur The Kindly Giant.
Others in the running... Tenro, Otomo, MonkeyGod, Freddy Maercair, Falias Hellsbane, Bobson... Which means if you post in the next two days you will get in.
You should have Baron Bloodless points of reference in your profile, if you are confused about this look at the first page of 50 posts.
Background story, crunch, description, gear, associations, why you are at the village, how you got to the village, etc.
Anyone still confused?

I referenced he's there to find the secret to being a man, hoping some new alchemical discovery is there... also what would be the magic item, I was going to have him pick it for me since honestly I don't know much about any of the AP paths big artifacts at the end, only one I could find a real result for that seemed cool was baba yaga's hut.

Tenro |

i will definitely be posting a complete alias in the next two days
and regarding the description, i was trying to be more descriptive of just what he looks like and how he became a living construct. i wanted to show that he had what most would consider a horrifying procedure done against his will, but he didnt even know enough to be horrified, and never learned quite what he lost in the transformation. despite what some would call tragic circumstances, he remains relatively happy as a living construct.
i didn't mean to relay that he looked like an actual skeleton, just that he was very skinny and skeletal (in a skinny way, not a scary undead way). Basically just the basics of human form were left, all unnecessary human components were removed. but he still has a heart and brain, etc.
here is his profile and i will be using the alternative RP build posted.

Mr. Ziggles |

Alright so here is another summary of everybody and their submissions :) I am going to go with a more serious and in depth analysis of them.
Crunch
Player: Joseph Bonkers
Class: Hobgoblin Fell Rider 20/Scarred Barbarian 18, Thug Rogue 1, Mammoth Rider 1
FCB: Fell Rider
Good At: Intimidation, Mounted Combat, Powerful Mount, High AC, Good Defence/Offence, Combat Maneuvers, Teamwork Feats
Notes: Pure Martial, Complex combat sequence, Rides a Rhino, CE and playing as the goofy, "I will conquer the world! And fail every time! I kick puppies because that is what evil does! I love being evil! Wait, no, I hate being evil! Wait... No, give me a moment, Ill figure this out! Did I mention I'm gullible?"
Completeness: Crunch partially complete, no backstory
Questionnaire
1. Np
2. Np. I might have to pull out the tank just for such a battle royale ,')
3. I would really like to start somewhere really inhospitable, like an extreme desert or something. The Wastelands on the abyss sounds good :)
4. Open area sounds good. Same with searching for Godhood (we are basically gods... it says so right in my title ^-^), looking for our own slice of Hell/Abyss/Heaven to conquer. Will definitely need the others help to accomplish this, thinking a chunk of heaven, just so he could laugh at them winged pussies (he can't fly :P).
5. I would love massive battles against hordes of enemies (where my guy would shine the most) or against powerful entities. Petty squabbles like little school kids would also be really funny, especially since this is supposed to be high humor (just because we are powerful dosent mean we are mature...). I would also be ok with lots of social interactions, Mr. Ziggles wont be grandiose at it, but I can still do it fine :) I figure 80/40 would be great, but I would be ok with anything up to 50/50.
6. Hmmm. Well I am not sure right now... I am on the wrong plane completely and have no way of planeshopping on my own. I figure if I can buddy up with Tenro would work well. Ill see what he says :)
7. Allies with Tenro for starters. Possibly closer, depending on how it goes. The others? Not so sure. I imagine Falias Hellsbane wouldnt care much for me, being polar opposites on the alignment scale, same with Torchbearers submission.

1. done
2. no biggie, not trying for those
3. any area sounds good and could work for my character. i DO tend to like areas like deserts or frozen wastelands, extreme and themed environments. I also like games that involve travel, possibly between such areas.
4. dungeon crawl is something i havent done in awhile, anything sounds good. i feel like many modules kinda railroad you, but i do like story arcs made by the GM, even if the GM has only panned a few moves ahead of us (which is suited to pbp as well)
5. combat is good, and i like social encounters as well. i tend not to invest skill points in social skills and i usually dont make social characters, as i tend not to want to play a "party face". massive battles against hordes of enemies are fun, as are epic battles against singular foes. I tend not to play characters that do big areas of effect, so i might not be as useful in massive battles (unless i invent a siege engine :D). fighting gods/becoming gods sounds fun also. i have had a character get close to becoming a god before but the game ended, so that would be a fun route to go down.
65/35 combat/social, 50/50 hordes/singular enemies, 100% battling gods/becoming gods
6. I am not clear on what location, unless you mean the village. i can expound on that once i get the character made. most likely he was analyzing the area and noticed an anomaly, or perhaps was cruising around testing out a new device for cartography, and noticed the village was abandoned in a peculiar manner. He is pretty inquisitive and likes to solve problems a lot.
7. I havent done any collaboration with the other PCs since i dont know who will be picked, but i dont imagine that they would be his enemies as he tends to keep to himself. They could be enemies if they view his practices with mixing flesh and machine abhorrent, or they might seek him out for his expertise to solve a peculiar problem. I doubt they would be competitors since his practices are relatively foreign to most folks.

4. I think a dungeon crawl or open area would be more my taste. I rather like to play Modules straight by the book.

4. I like mysteries and open areas, but since we are mostly working towards becoming gods, maybe have it deal with something related to a disruption in the pantheon (maybe we are the reason).
5. I'd say mostly social and puzzle type stuff at this level. Have some epic battles for those geared almost exclusively for battle. But at this level, making alot of encounters gets really time consuming unless you just re-outfit monsters. I liked the gods idea, but I'm up for whatever you are willing to write up for us.

4. Up for whatever, but I'd probably favor open area. Maybe a dungeon crawl (though I'd be scouting a lot).
5. Hm. Azulth isn't a huge socialite, but he's competent. As for battles, he's much better at isolated enemies that he can take down one at a time, so I'd say hordes aren't exactly my cup of tea (though I could still be effective, I think).
6. Azulth got bored with how easily he was completing contracts, and started trying to find out about ways to seek even bigger risks. After checking out the Test of the Starstone, he heard about this. Having nothing better to do, he showed up. Even if the whole "become a god" thing doesn't happen, there might be things to steal, people to kill...

I have the true name arcane discovery. Anyone have any ideas on which of these two I should have as my outsider?
Aeon, Bythos
Herald of Armageddon

Mr. Ziggles |

Well I found the rules for animal companions and magic items. It is here about a third of the way down, right after the big black image of an explorer.
The vast diversity among species of familiars and animal companions often makes it difficult to determine what kinds of magic items are suitable for certain creatures to wear. While wearable wondrous items typically resize themselves to fit a creature trying to wear them, the situation becomes a little more complicated if the creature simply lacks the requisite appendage or body part.
The following table presents all of the animal companions and familiars available to characters, divided into general categories that loosely define their body type as well as which magic item slots are available to them. Available slots followed by either “(saddle)” or “(horseshoes)” denote that creatures of that body type can only wear magic items in the appropriate slots as long as they are either saddles or horseshoes, respectively (for instance, a hoofed quadruped can wear a saddle of the sky-river, but not a belt of dwarvenkind).
Some creature body types are able to grasp and carry one object at a time in their paws, claws, or hands, including weapons, rods, wands, and staves, though they may not be able to use such items effectively (GM's discretion) and take penalties for nonproficiency as usual. These are indicated by "Yes" in the "Grasp/Carry" column in the table below.
Specific animals may be able to wear different types of items as specified in their original monster entry.
If you are using animal companions or familiars from another source, you can use the information in this table as a guideline for those creatures. Additionally, GMs may use this table as a guide to determine what kinds of magical gear non-humanoid monsters can wear and use. Note that the rules in this section are merely suggestions, and ultimately it is up to the GM to decide what kinds of animals can use particular types of magic items.
And so a rhinoceroceros (a Quadruped/Hexapod (feet)) can wear: Armor, belt (saddle), chest, eyes, headband, neck, shoulders, wrist.
You ok with this ruling?

Ivanna Láska |

Made the requested changes. Ivana is now finished including eidolon and familar. I will need to go back through and make sure everything adds up correctly (make sure I changed the bonuses to what their new values are) and that I did not forget anything.
I did notice that I am not listed as in the running. If I am still not in the running, then I'll wait to check all my stuff.
forgot to mention that she can serve as the party face as she is running fairly high (not super optimized) diplomacy and bluff.

Ivanna Láska |

separated background since it was getting lost in everything else. Also, figured Marionette Queen sounded a little better than Queen of Marionettes.
Also here it is for easy reading and critiquing.
Ivanna was raised by her mother until she was of an appropriate age to go off on her own. Ivanna found that she was a paragon of her races natural affinities. Using these to her advantage, she began studying to augment her race's natural abilities. Caring not for the morals or dark desires, Ivanna looked to herself and no one else for guidance. Using her natural charms and intellect, she gets others to do her work for her. And if she can't manipulate someone, she'll create her own servants or call upon them from the other planes. Her ability to manipulate others and call allies from other planes has earned her the title, Marionette Queen.
After discovering a way to cease aging, Ivanna plotted to make her powers greater and more well-known than ever before; she sought out ways to become a deity in her own right. Now she is on a quest to become a god and seek true immportality.
While researching for her new goal, she uncovered rather cryptic and vague clues about a small village. Using that best of her knowledge, she believes that she has found the location of a village that just might fit the clues. She then set out with her two most trusted companions, Aiden and Onerios, to find out what this village has in store for her.
