I would like a Paizo build of a Half-Giant. Maybe even stats for playing one as a race? or at least something like it without the 3pp psionic stuff.
Clockwork or Robot forrest animals made of "Living Steel" with maybe a druid twist.
I like Dinosaurs. I would like more of them even though we already have most of the "iconic" dinosaurs.
More stuff that attacks with the Sonic element.
I think maybe a Black Powder Golem would be awesome. Maybe with canons for arms and wheels for legs?
Box Jellyfish or those Big Red ones for animal and not vermin...
Blemmyes would be an interesting new giant race
Jinmenju and just more rare and exotic plant monsters would be cool...
The Hundred-Handed Ones from greek myths...
I like mimics and stuff like that. We already have some but I would maybe like a template so I could have a "Mimic" Dire Tiger Rug or a "Mimic" Door or even whole "Mimic" Walls in rooms...Mimic Canon balls so I can shoot "Chomp Chomps" at pirate boats...
I want a Clockwork T-Rex made of Living Steel with laser eyes and awesome grinding teeth and Sonic breath. Complete with "Rocket Fists" that are attached a chain to drag enemies back into teeth/gears range. Something like that would be awesome but most likely gonna have to be homebrew...
:(

Thanks for the info Rubber Ducky Guy.
I would like to see the Blemmyes but as an aberration.
More Golems(tar, rubber, crystal/gems, sky metals, paper/origami, eyes, hair, chains, rope, web, vines, shell, scale, obsidian, mud, gold, and one made out of broken/used magic items.)
More wonderland creatures though I would be a little disappointed if the Bestiary 4 didn't have the Cheshire Cat.
I like the idea of "living steel" robot/clockwork forest animals.
Yes we do need more sonic/sound based monsters.
Sincubus |
I do want to see new demons and devils in every bestiary, just like Golems, Giants, Angels, Dragons, Dinosaurs and giant Animals they are part of the world of Pathfinder, even if they just put in 1 or 2 i'm satisfied.
I think there are more then enough environment giants, drakes and golems but I still want them in bestiary cuz they just belong there.
The only thing I really want to see gone is the Zombie-must-be-the-end-of the-bestiary-thing...
In that way Zomok (or any other monster that comes after Zombie) will never have a chance to shine in a bestiary.
Sincubus |
Btw.
In the Shattered Star Bestiary (paper mini's by Todd Westcot, which are AWESOME btw) there is this Fleshdreg Swarm creature, while i'm not a huge fan of the normal Fleshdreg, I really, REALLY like the looks of the Fleshdreg Swarm, a abnormal fleshy abomination of hidious creatures made of flesh grown and merged together in horrid and disgusting ways. Bravo!
I really would like the Fleshdreg Swarm or a creature that looks like it with another name (maybe the thing) in bestiary 5.
Fakefurcoats |
If we are looking for the Japanese monsters I really like the Karakasa. Really Iconic I think...Maybe the Haniwa too...
We have Foo Lions and Scarecrows...Tin man? at least a bestiary entry. More Oz monsters like the Gump, The "Rak", The Woozy, Kalidah. Maybe even a Jack Pumpkinhead...
Speaking of Pumpkin heads...Why not the Cucuy

I just played the beta of the Diablo III-like Van Helsing game and its rather cool! Many slavic enemies! Vodyanoi, Rusalka, Leshy and the very cool storm nymphs called Vila.
Vila from Van Helsing Game
In the game they look a bit like Warcraft Harpies, but this could be their power to transform into black swans and black wolves.
So if Vila doesn't turn up in bestiary 4 I would like to make a wish for these Storm Nymphs in bestiary 5 or an AP bestiary!
I would like Vila to be pearl-white skinned, floating nymphs with dark indigo/blackish hair which moves like it is caught in a storm all the time, even when there is no storm at all, their eyes are also black/indigo and lightning burst from them sometimes, they don't have clothes on their body but instead are dressed in stormclouds, they are like the evil versions of the Sylph, but unlike the playable race Sylph these are Fey and non-playable.
They have powers over storms, can shapeshift into indigo/black swans, crows/raven, hawks, eagles and owls and are often working together with Hala Demons, creating massive storms to trouble farmers and people lost in the fields.
I really like the idea of good nymphs (Oread, Dryad, some flower nymph, normal Nymph) and evil nymphs (Vila, Lampade, Leanan Sidhe and some frost nymph)
I would also like a PLANT version of Jack O Lantern, not an animated object like in Carrion Crown...
Sincubus |
Everybody wishing for Kamaitachi is a friend of mine, I do hope they are in bestiary 4 tho, I wished so hard for it... :-p
If they are paizonized I like the Sickle Weasels to be the fastest creatures and CR 11 or higher. I don't like the Kamaitachi version of 3 brothers working as one, I really want Kamaitachi to be just 1 creature, not the trio of weasels that tackle, wound and heal its victims... I really dislike the healing weasel of the trio, it doesn't make sense so I hope for a single weasel that moves so fast that it APPEARS to be multiple creatures attacking the victim or maybe has the spell-like ability to create mirror images of itself? But the healing stuff must go.
I would also like a land-based turtle monster which has a small landscape (rocks, trees, bushes, small creatures) growing on the back of its shell, they could be huge to colossal, geez I probably watched too much pokemon or so haha. But no, I saw it in the adventure game Risen and it looked like this: Thunderlizard from Risen
Fakefurcoats |
Yeah, we have all kinds of monsters from wonderland and other worlds but hardly any Oz monsters. Flying Monkeys...I thought paizo would already have some. (checks google)
Huh...Yeah we need some flying monkeys. One thing that I like about it is that it could just be a ton of different prime apes so you could have some shaman baboon types and some big barbarian silver back types. Even advance familiar flying chimps or pygmy marmoset.
Swarm of Flying monkeys...scary
I do like that giant turtle/tortoise with a small island or just some random plants growing on its back. We don't have one, Sincubus?
Sincubus |
We have a colossal whale with an island on its back called something like aspichidolone (I never remember that horrid name) but that's not what i'm after.
The creature i'm after is a land turtle, not a sea turtle and its not colossal, its rather huge to gargantuan or even large and has just a small landscape (a few rocks, plants and trees, and some animals living there, not an entire island) on its back.
Of course there could be volcanic-landscapes (with even a small volcan on their back) and ice, desert, beach and tropic variants as well of these Landscape Turtles.
Flying Monkeys are there in the form of Coral Capuchins in one of the pirate AP's bestiaries.
I would like the greek Kerkopes (Twin thief monkeys killed by Hercule) to be the flying monkeys of Pathfinder, they are always born twins and if one of them dies the other goes berserk, they work together as master thieves, and of all races and monsters the Kerkopes are the most professional thieves, what they have their mind on they mostly get.
I used flying monkeys from Oz, the always-born-twin-monkeys (from a myth I can't remember) and the thieving Kerkopes from greek mythology and merged them into one monkey creature as i'm just hooked on twin creatures.
Sincubus |
Not really my intention, I don't want a colossal creature, I never liked this impossible big creatures as you can't make sprites/paper miniatures of those, so I want the landscape turtle to be a lot smaller than the one from neverending story.
The Luck Dragon from Neverending story would be fun as Guardian Dragon type, the guardian of all hope, luck and dreams. Just like Ladon would be the Guardian Dragon of nature and plants.
And Coral Capuchins are monkeys with wings so they are flying monkies afteral, they are just not the type you are looking for but saying they aren't flying monkeys is like saying a werewolf doesn't have teeth...
MMCJawa |
a "landscape turtle" though by it's nature needs to be large or colossal. Looking at a distant mountain or hill and then see it get up and walk away is part of the appeal of such creatures (the same way as fish or turtles who are so big they can be mistaken for an island, only for them to sink underwater)
having something that amounts to a pile of dirt walk away = not very impressive.
Fakefurcoats |
I think Sincubus is wanting something more akin to the Bulbasaur family from pokemon. But if it was to have a nice bit of landscape what size would you make it Sincubus? Huge?
Make him a dinosaur and I'm sold...that or a plant...we need more plants
I still like my mimic template...how about you guys?
What about some possessed or maybe even psychic people with "stand" like abilities? Like in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure?
Sincubus |
Like I said Fakefurcoats I really like it Huge or Gargantuan, I think gargantuan would be perfect for it.
But just like the Aztek Crocodile monster and the Asian Catfish Namazu I will shrudder of the thought of it being colossal.
The idea is that tiny and smaller creatures live on its back which is looking like some landscape, i've seen such creatures in many cartoons, stories, games and yes also at pokemon. I don't mind a colossal version with bigger creatures living on it, but at least also make a smaller version too.
The Land Wight would be the ideal animated landscape monster, as its an entire landscape animated when a powerful mortal dies a horrid death in nature and the entire landscape around it gets corrupted and controlled by the diseased person.
@ Atheral
I think that was meant funny, but if you read any better you see I didn't say ISLAND, but LANDSCAPE, something different.

Hmm...I take it then that you've never read the works of Terry Pratchett then? ....or my joke just fell flat. Either way everyone really should read them, they are a great read and most of the time hilarious.
Also an Island Turtle is nothing but a Landscape Turtle with an Advanced Template ;)

There isn't a Rat King yet, but like the Namazu and some others Wesley said that the Rat King is on the list, so its probably in bestiary 4 or maybe it comes in a AP bestiary soon?
I do hope the Rat King would be a little bit more than just some normal rats that are merged together with their tails.
I hope they are intelligent alien rats that are merged together in horrid, distasteful ways.
Dragon78 |
-More Oozes such as blood, ice/snow, liquid metal, electric/storm, undead, bubble, temporal, astral, etc. A type of ooze that feeds on negative energy and undead only would be cool.
-More tauric creatures with lower bodies of tigers, lizards, frogs, deer, etc.
-Creature that likes to be helpful but causes more harm then it would if didn't help.
-More creatures from myth like the Bicorn, Myrmecoleon, Orthrus, Zu, Rainbow Serpent, Barong, etc.
-More cryptids such as Cherufe, Dobhar-chu, Con rit, Gunni, etc.
-Something like the tortoise from the Never Ending Story.
-More Alien and sci-fi related monsters like the "Greys", robots, cyborgs, psychic energy beings, etc.

I don't think the list you keep referring to is the list of creature in Bestiary 4, but rather a list Wes keeps of monsters to sometimes stat up. That could mean hardcover bestiary, but could also mean campaign setting, AP, etc. And it could mean statted out this year or 4 years down the line

-More "Planetouched" races based on law/axiomites/inevitibles, chaos/proteans, dreams, time, positive energy, negative energy, and aeons.
-More creatures from Distant Worlds such as sky fishers, shota, khulan, urogs, abaki, etc.
-Monster that can only be seen by children.
-Creatures that are invisible underwater.
-An incorporeal elemental creature, I said this in an early post but I put it as "incorporeal element", so I wanted to clarify.
-More monsters that look harmless or cute but are evil.
-More giant animals/vermin, not just more types of old ones like crabs, jellyfish, cockroaches, etc. but new ones as well like earwigs, rats, squirrels, stinkbugs, pillbugs, moths, platypus, sea horses, etc.
Sincubus |
Odraude what was that creature you once mentioned made out of an bee swarm?
It was something aztec or mayan or something in that direction.
I can't find info on it/them anywhere... so help me out if you can/will.
In Resident Evil 6 (yes the part with the horrid camera-angles) is an enemy that resembles a humanoid swarm of bees, actually its a big fly/bee that controlls all other flying insects into becoming its armor in the form of an humanoid.
I would like such a creature in pathfinder, just make it very different from the Hellwasp Swarm.

Dragon78 |
-Monsters that have Ki abilities like monks, ninjas, and abilities unique to themselves.
-Monsters that feed on Ki, if the target has no Ki(or any remaining) it will start doing Wis/Cha damage.
-Monsters that sense Ki and gain information about the creature(s) it can sense like age, gender, race, how powerful they are physically or mystically, etc.
-Incorporeal positive energy creature that likes to experience life through a corporeal host. It means no harm but may cause problems because it doesn't understand much outside it's plane. creature grants it's host things like fast healing, immunity to energy drain, etc. but the host is not always in control.
-Creatures who are obsessed with building and creating artificial structures such as buildings, bridges, dams, statues, etc.
-More art themed monsters, creatures that create art, creatures that actually are works of art. Maybe a monster that is a living painting or who resides in a pocket dimension who uses the painting as a gateway.
-Creature made out of puzzle pieces(construct or aberration), hard to kill physically but magic or energy based attacks are more effective.
-Outsider creature(CN, CR15+) obsessed with toys and games, can alter reality, change people into anything, powerful trickster, etc.
-Creature obsessed with creating new forms life(and/or improving old ones) instead of destroying life.

I never really cared for the D&D 3.5 edition Digester I must confess.
But after reading this Burbur/Digester Idea I think I like an updated version of the Digester in bestiary 4/5!
I would like the Digester to be an ooze eating/ooze creating (by spitting ooze at other creatures so they absorb that creature so there would be more ooze to eat) aberration, the only creature that really hunts oozes and uses them as weapons.
So now I really hope to see Ravid, Arrowhawk and Digester appearing somewhere.
BUT I have some feeling you guys DON'T want to update D&D creatures and leave them 100% the same as they are... that is a shame, I think some big/small updates are needed to make Arrowhawk, Ravid and Digester one of the better creatures out there, but if you don't update them its probably a waste.

The most famous anti-magic (mage killer) real-life mythological creature is the Australian Mokoi, but there is also this Wekufe creature that likes to kill mages, but in most legends Wekufe is pretty much what the Guecubu from Bestiary 3 is.
Mokoi could be the mage variant of the Baykok, that hunts mages and absorbs their magic.
Dragon78 |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
-Humanoid fish creatures that spit fireballs(exploding or touch attacks) like the ones from Castlevania.
-Giant rats that are medium-large size like the one in the Ratfolk picture in the Bestiary 3.
-Swarm of diminutive eyeball creatures with gaze attack, cannot avert your eyes while in the swarm.
-Some more multi-headed dragons except 3 headed we have a couple of good ones for those already.
-Plant creature whose pollen can turn living creatures to stone.
-Some more multi-headed giants would be nice.
-Creature that creates fake/non-permanent gold/jewels to lure or bribe other creatures.
-Some flying plant monsters would be nice, there are so few that can.
-A creature that has both plant traits/immunities and the elemental subtype.
