Do you follow Bundle Of Holding?

Would this work in Starfinder?

Wow. I registered on Paizo to ask a question/do some research about a product and was just clicking around and found this thread. I don't really believe in fate or anything like that, but what are the odds that I just click around a few times, say, "Hey, that's an interesting name", and bam?

Read through pages and pages of the thread. Anyway, A) How've you been? Sorry I fell out of touch with you guys. B) Congratulations on the things that you shared.

It is pretty solid. Not the greatest, but I find that I can create characters.

It could I think with some adjustment. Though if you dont like the system I would suggest looking for another one.

Good point.

Star Hero might be appropriate. (I just wish the "yellow peril" weren't so heavy.)

As a long time player of the Hero System Star Hero can don the job. But it is a tool box type of system so it requires set up by the GM for the type of game they want to run.

Plus it is also math heavy.

The Math is not an obstacle (I am also a long time CHAMPIONS GM & player).

My biggest issue with Hero is not the math, but that the system is not progressive (like level based systems), so some of my player group has problems during a campaign.

Let's look at why I am even considering BUCK ROGERS/FLASH GORDON so strongly.
* - A setting that emphasizes Action & Adventure vs Hard Science.
* - Heroes are Heroes, Villains are Villains (a fairly "black & white" setting.)
* - Sex Appeal without going too deeply into the subject.

STAR WARS has (or had) most of these properties, but the last three movies kind of messed the setting up. :( (... but, Lucas's Prequels were not good either.)

Starfinder's setting (with some minor adjustments) does support this kind of play, but the game systems's character creation and gear progression bother me. ... And the underlying math of the system makes tweeking things difficult.

Perhaps, I should dig out my d20 Star Wars ...

Mmm. Maybe dig up Alternity. It would require some modifications. But it has levels.

Alternity has an advantage over most licenced settings in that it doesn't have important Heroes that tower over the PCs. i.e., Flash Gordon will always be about Flash/Dale/Zarkov and the PCs would always be in their shadow.

I liked Alternity. It was a interesting system. And I like the Stardrive universe.

Lord Fyre wrote:

I don't of any really off the top of my head.

@ Lord Fyre: I noticed in your profile that you play(or have played) 7th Sea....would like to hear about my awesome 7th Sea/L5R crossover campaign that i have dreamed of running and finally am?

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

I have played both L5R and 7th Sea, but when I left they were still an AEG products. And, at that time the systems were not really compatible.

Given that the products are now from completely different companies, the would likely be even less so.

I think the old systems were a little more compatible than you think. They both used the roll keep system I even worked how to do it to a point. Though true the systems were not meant to be compatible I think I worked how to do so....but never had enough players to do so. :(

And yes the new systems are not at all compatible, and honestly while I love the new L5R...the new 7th Sea is terrible on so many levels.

But the campaign I am running for my friend's V-space thing include a the main evil group from 7th Sea and a group of heroes helping the PCs...including a Vodace Fate Witch, a Ussaren Shapeshiftet and others.

I am just making up the rules for the 7th Sea stuff as it is all npcs so it is easy.

It is probably the closest I will get.

I was wondering if you were going to go d20 for it, since both have rules for that.

Beyond rules, what do you have in mind?

Oddly enough that never occurred to me. Sigh....

Pretty much the plot of the campaign is the Main Evil Group from 7th Sea has formed a alliance with Fu Leng. So the have agents causing chaos in Rokugan as other agents are searching for the Black Scrolls.

Oddly enough I have worked jobs all my life that required me to be on my feet all the time(Or mostly) now I can't sit down for too long of a period of time without things hurting. I barely got through Avengers: Endgame.

So you do get used to it.

I hope the other aspects of the job were at least tolerable if not enjoyable.
