How do you feel about importing fictional characters into Pathfinder/Starfinder?

I am not against as long as it is well done...

And for some characters not overdone...

Is Taarna the Tarakian a Pathfinder or Starfinder character?

I don't want to force you to choose, but for a Taarna build, I will be directly disagreeing with Rysky.

This is my two cents...I completely agree with Rysky...chainmail bikinis should offer no armor value what so ever....

However though out history there has been groups of warriors with considerably fierce reputations who have fought naked. Take the Picts...they stopped the Romans to the point the Romans built a wall...and They fought naked.

So a group of warrior women who fight in bikinis I don't think is immpossible....but their fighting style would probably beheaded towards dodging and parrying.

I think Paizo's solution for Red Sonja to it made the most sense....getting the AC bonus via a Archtype rather than assign a Armor value to chainmail bikinis.

Hmmm ... The flavor of the Sword Devil doesn't quite work for her (what little we know would place her as a Paladin). But, given that her only pieces of "armor" are her shoulder and knees, even a "chainmail bikini" would be a stretch.

Have you been able to stay safe in these troubling times?

Lord Fyre wrote:

Yeah I am fine...the only thing is work is still allowing 2 people per truck...which makes social distancing very hard to do. But since I am so good at the job I told them to minimize putting in a truck with somebody as I can get most trucks done by myself faster than two people.

While they will still send me into trucks to help people it has been reduced.

It is kinda funny....5 years ago I would have to fight to get help...now I have to fight not to get help.

Selene Spires wrote:
How are you doing in these troubled times?

I'm... I'm still figuring out how I am, and I can't quite articulate it. I mean I'm not in danger of doing harm to myself (or others), and I don't think I'm having a full mental breakdown. But I'm definitely off. I'm not behaving in any way that I expected I would be in this kind of situation. I feel like many of my mental restraints are completely loosened or completely unlocked/broken, and emotionally, I'm just not worried about it like I normally would be. I mean there's still a little part of me that is worried that I'm not worried about being not worried, but that's it. It kinda feels like how I would imagine a prolonged manic episode is like, but I don't have sufficient indicators to know if this is an actual manic episode (and that my depression just blunted the highs of bipolar before) or if I've suddenly smashed through walls in my (self-)repression. There's elements of fear there, or at least it feels familiar in the way I'm familiar with fear, but my reaction to this fear feels disrupted, but still hanging in the air like light fog or mist from a waterfall.

I dunno.

Also, I have stolen a second cat. Not intentionally. The first cat, the stray grey boy tabby who had been coming around since last year -- who still doesn't quite trust me but seems to understand now I'm not a threat -- has been spending a lot of time here. The yard is fenced in, there's no kids or dogs, and my dad and I let him alone. So he's been lounging, sleeping, sunning himself in all the same spots my previous cat did. About two weeks ago, I started calling him Nibbler, because 1) he seems somehow Nibbler-ish, and b) even as hungry as he is, he still takes dainty bites of food. Anyway, our neighbor-across-the-street's cat, Maggie, started wandering over here too. And then she started eating some of Nibbler's kibble, and possibly realized that there's no dogs here (there are five dogs at here home)... and now she spends almost all her time here too.

@ Ambrosia Slaad:

Re:Cats: You don't adopt cats...cats adopt you. Floyd's response to the kitten is very funny...he is very curious...yet when she chases him he flees. I think it has to do with the fact he has never seen a kitten before.

Re: The Other Stuff.... I have a question...if you have smashed through the walls of self-repression...would that not be a good thing? If it is not a good thing...why do you feel the need to repress yourself?

I have repressed myself most of my life...growing up I had a speech impediment (still do really) that caused myself to repress myself socially...it felt great. All my life I have been repressing my true self/gender...and still have to in most situations and the fact I have to tears me up inside.

I believe you are a wonderful person who has at times of my lowest have given me words of encouragement when I needed them the most. It is kinda depressing to think of you repressing yourself.

(If you feel more comfortable you can respond in a PM....Or not at all...you don't owe me that)

I am aware =/= I am in favor of.

Enchanting clothing to give an ac boost is also different than having a type of non-magical bikini (no matter the materials) be considered armor.

As long the debate is fun for both sides it is okay.

None of this would have happened if Biggie Smalls was still with us!!

Just to expand on the above (I am bored)...

I love debating stuff it can be fun and helps me explore my beliefs and ideals. Lately though it is not fun because there is now a tendency to take it seriously and judge people harshly due to the beliefs they hold.

It is to the point where it us not useful or fun...it causes too much stress for myself or the person I am debating.

For example I have a lot of friends who are socialist...when I point out the many flaws of socialism...I dont get their thoughts on how to solve these flaws...I get blind belief they dont exist and suddenly I become a enemy.

Both sides have this belief...political thought has become a cult.
