The Hungry Storm - How long does the trip take?

Hey guys I'm just wondering does anyone know how long the trip from one side of the map to the other in The Hungry Storm takes?
Not counting stopping for major encounters I would like to know how long it should take the caravan to cross over the North?
If I have a average then I can calculate at what point the PCs will be as they take the journey without having to calculate miles travelled and all that (I hate maths)
Any help would be appreciated.

Well... I'm playing in it and we just hit 18 days and made it to the village where the dragon is attacking in about 11 days.

If I recall correctly, the trip is approximately 3,000 miles through a mixture of tundra, mountains, and flat snowlands. Now, the caravan is probably making about 32 miles per day, because it's being pulled by musk ox (40 ft, treated like yak/bison). Since it's a major thoroughfare, you'll be going the full 32 mpd in an 8 hour day. Assuming the best conditions (no snowfall, breakdowns, animal attacks), you'd cross it in about 94 days, a little over three months.

In my game trip from Kalsgard to Ordu-Aganhein took about 5 and half months (Rova 18 to Pharast 4). If I don't calculate trip from Kalsgard to Crown of of the World it's about one month shorter. So when counting days its about 164 days from Kalsgard to Ordu-Aganhein and about 130 days from Rimethirst Mountains to another side of Wall of Heaven.

These calculations of course include stopping for encounters and taking time to explore Nameless Spire (thank you Legendary Games). I can't count those out but I think Odraude is pretty close to truth.

LAKE ROUTE:
To reach Bearleg Lakes: 96 miles/3 days
Through Bearleg Lakes to Old Magu Encounter: 260 miles/5 days
To Qopuk Ford: 64 miles/2 days
To start of Wandering Herd: 32 miles/1 day
Duration of Wandering Herd: 224 miles/7 days
END OF LAKE ROUTE (Paths rejoin here)

HILL ROUTE:
To Lost Lake: 256 miles/8 days
To Avalanche Ambush: 96 miles/3 days
To Cannibal Camp: 64 miles/2 days
To Fording Taraska: 32 miles/1 day
To end of HILL ROUTE: 32 miles/1 day
END OF HILL ROUTE (Paths rejoin here)

To Iqaliat: 128 miles/4 days
(Side note: 64 miles from rejoin point to Iqualiat/Unaimo route split, 128 miles from there to Unaimo, so at this assumed speed, if you want to head there first, learn the path is blocked and double back, it's an 8 day side trip)
To Dragon: 64 miles/2 days (3 days without a guide, so 96 miles for the scenic route apparently)
To Storm Tower: 704 miles/22 days (starting at Iqaliat, 640 from Dragon)
To Dead Man's Dome: 512 miles/16 days
To Ul-Angorn: 320 miles/10 days (224 high ice, 96 standard)
To/through Ovorikeer Pass: 160 miles/5 days
To Jaagiin: 224 miles/7 days
To Last Pass: 384 miles/12 days
Chased by Morozko: 30 miles/1 day (special rules for it)
To Necropolis: 48 miles/3 days (half speed in the tunnels)
To rejoin path/end of adventure: 160 miles/5 days

Yeah, we've already spent six days slaying the dragon, so we're a bit over my estimate.

Liberty's Edge

My PCs are at Day 318 and just went through the pass. They're reach the Wall of Heaven next session, and should finish the chapter a couple of weeks to a month shy of a year's in-game time.

Bear in mind that I changed travel times to match the actual rules, ignoring what's in the AP itself. If I had not, I would expect approximately half this time to have elapsed.

Here's our Calendar, BTW:

Not sure what you mean. 94 days is the average I found using the rules in the Core Rulebook. Granted, it doesn't take into account snow and blizzards and all that, but 110+ days seems about right.

I LOVE YOU!

Actually, it seems like I was wrong, as in the CRB on page 174, it says that a cart and wagon go 16 miles per day. So it's actually 188 days, about six and a half months.

The adventure itselfs assumes a base speed of 32 miles per day.

I actually prefer 32 miles because it makes sense. You've got a large amount of multiple oxen which are pulling on a wagon, so the load they are carrying is much much lighter and they can go faster. A) They are dragging it so they can drag 5x their maximum load and B) They are large quadrupeds. Don't know the rules for multiple creatures carrying something, but I can imagine that makes it much easier on a team of oxen.
