GM Choon |
Upon arriving in D15, both of you loose cover to the other (the pillar was providing it). Therefore, morskitter becomes visible. (If there are any active spells in effect that grant cover other than the pillars, let me know. I didn't see any still active)
-- Ritti's readied action goes off first as she is the one currently stealthing and the recent errata says she remains undetected during that movement.
-- Ritti's readied action will cause her to break stealth, at which point Morskitter's readied action goes off.
--The round then proceeds with the remainder of Ritti's turn (what little is left of it, anyway)
Eben's Circus |
why would I lose my readied action if I move? The readied action ("shoot Morskitter if Ritti sees him") has no bearing on movement. Are there some rules that contradict this?
And I agree, now that it's come to a head, let's put all the pertinent info out and we'll digure out who should attack first.
.
Ritti readied an action to shoot Morskitter should she see him. Then she snuck from B.12 around to G.17.
.
Once we know that (and unless there are more factors than simply both of us being staelthed, actively perceiving and having readied actions), I'd think who gets to go first would come down to who sees who first. (in which case Ritti might be screwed becuase i think your rolls were better this last round)
Morskitter |
Readying an Action
You can ready a standard action, a move action, a swift action, or a free action. To do so, specify the action you will take and the conditions under which you will take it. Then, anytime before your next action, you may take the readied action in response to that condition. The action occurs just before the action that triggers it
If you take any action after readying an action you forgo your readied action.Moving is an action.
Morskitter |
Another thing is that I'm not even sure that you can take a readied action on your turn:
The ready action lets you prepare to take an action later, after your turn is over but before your next one has begun.
I think if you want to shoot me on your turn you would have to take a standard action normally.
Eben's Circus |
Huh... I have always read that to mean "...before your next round". That seems somewhat limiting.
Eben's Circus |
Lol. Well, then you're up again.
.
I'm still annoyed to find out that you can't ready an action then move... that's how i've always played it. :(
Eben's Circus |
Go with G.4. There's no goo dreason Morskitter would stand right in the middle of the sands... unless you want him to, of course. I have no problem taking a free shot at you. :D
Eben's Circus |
Then let's at least make it good...
Round 27
For once the hooded little man stood in the open. "Finally," a shredded and singed Ritti grunts as she drops her crossbow, drawing out her blade as she rushes across the sands. "Let's do this!"
Charge!
1d3 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
1d3 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Attack 30; Damage 8
Crit confirm 28; Additional damage 7
You're up.
Eben's Circus |
Just attack how you will... don't go easy. Not staying enveloped in mist is easy-mode enough for me. :)
Edit: wait, the above attack threatened a critical. Let me add the confirm back in.
Eben's Circus |
Ritti's down to 7 hp, herself. It would have been 2, but I was juuuust out of that splash area of that last acid flask.
.
Also, the dice bot wants Morskitter down... every time I've gotten an actual shot at you, it's threatened a crit. That's gotta be some kind of record.
Panting heavily, the cat-sized Ritti leans down, hands on knobby knees as she watches the hooded man. "I gotta know," she huffs before brushing his hood to the side with her blade.
"Well, gods damn... no wonder you're so hard to pin down. Either way," she says as she straightens up, flourishing her blade in the air before bringing it down in a decisive strike a time or two. "You were one helluvan opponent. You honor whatever gods you serve."
CDG #1 2d3 + 14 ⇒ (1, 1) + 14 = 16
CDG #1 2d3 + 14 ⇒ (3, 2) + 14 = 19
When she's satisfied that the small opponent is actually dead, she takes a look around at the crowd and holds her small blade high in her first victory salute.
Seriously, that was a ridiculously long match.
Elik the Magnificent |
Yay were back on!
A very strange man walks into the room, almost looking as if he is confused to be there. Old and with most of his teeth missing he yells out in raspy voice Come one! Come all and witness......ummm.....what was my name again?.... he looks at the back of his hand and you see what looks like writing there before he says ...Oh yes! Elik the Magnificent! If there are small children in the audience please...don't ask them to look away for you will be depriving them of my magnificence! He is wearing tattered traveling clothes and is holding a shabby short baton in one hand that he is currently using to gesture to the audience at inappropriate moments during his speech.
Initiative 15
The Hirtz Factor |
Indeed, the excitement can continue.
The skinny and frail looking little goblin would once more set foot upon the arena floor with a wicked grin upon his face and a vial of some sort in his hand. He seemed to bare no visible weapons of any sort.
Initiative 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Initiative 22
Edit: My apologies, a crossbow does hang from the goblin's side. It was a later addition so it slipped my mind.
The Hirtz Factor |
Surprise Round
Swiftly, and with practiced ease, the little goblin would bring the vial to his mouth and chug its contents. As the contents of the vail swiftly took effect, the little goblin would seem to vanish from sight.
Non-Action to 5-foot step to K11.

The Hirtz Factor |
Round 2
Shimmering back into view at J11, the little goblin would drop an empty vial from one clawed hand, while raising a full one to his lips and downing its contents. Done with it, he would discard the now empty vial like the previous one as he pulls forth yet another vial and consumes its contents before quickly discarding it.
Warily, the goblin would step forward to I11.
Standard Action to take Extract of Shield.
Non-Action to 5-foot step to I11.

Mage Armor 599 Rounds
Mutagen (+4 Dex/+2 Natural Armor, -2 Wis) 198 Rounds

Elik the Magnificent |
Round 3
A group of 6 Elik's, now cackling madly and yelling AHA! Have at thee knave!, appear towards your right (C14) just as a packed ball of green slime comes hurtling at your face. Afterwards he moves out of sight around the wall. (Moved around the wall at FG16)
Damage + crossblooded orc/draconic bonus: 5d6 + 10 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 6, 1) + 10 = 31
Move to G18
Ranged Touch Attack (Flat-footed unless you have uncanny dodge which I am pretty positive you do) = 22
Acid Damage = 31 plus save vs DC 17 or be staggered for 1 round
The Hirtz Factor |
The acid ball would hit the little goblin squarely in the face and would leave the goblin lying motionless in the dirt.
Those are some mean numbers. I would be interested in seeing how you got them. I get the feeling its a similar build to something I've been cooking up to bring in next. Though that will have to wait now since my level got set back again. Congratulations on the win though.
Elik the Magnificent |
The six Eliks continue cackling and he begins singing in an awful voice Ding dong the goblins dead! He got hit upside his head!
Moving over he shoots another acidball into you dissolving your body just to make sure you don't jump up and eat him when he's not looking. He knows how tricksy you goblins can be!
CDG DC 34 fort save
Thanks! My only shot really was to either one shot you or one shot you and hope you missed against one of the images and then hit you again because if you hit me once you probably would have killed me lol. Great battle and good luck in your next! Gnasher is a crazy awesome little goblin!
Napju'Mme |
OOC: GL sir (Do you speak goblin?)
IC:
A large orc pats Napju'Mme on the back with his only arm. Perhaps the other was torn off training angry goblins. He says to Napju'Mme, "Vja avu. Azu de yquid'vi vji piy'quid vifa."
The goblin beats his chest with his bare hands. He is a large goblin, 3 foot 2 inches tall and about 35 pounds. He has a large head with oversized teeth. They appear sharper and longer than a normal goblins. His body is covered by the finest and perhaps smallest Orcish mithral armor ever crafted, a black cloak and armbands, and boots small enough to fit on his miniature body.
He exclaims to his opponent, "Napju Mmesli!" pointing at himself. "Ne ophic'mo uzo!" pointing to his opponent. He begins letting out a long growl similar to that of a small dog. The sound oscillates as he shakes his head side to side. Clearly becoming angered he takes into his tiny hands a large club, the only apparent weapon on his body, almost as tall as he.
Rolls: Initiative: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Napju, click the button that says "show" next to "how to format your text" just below the post box. It will show you how to make ooc tags, like I used for this post, and spoiler tags. You can put your rolls in spoilers for the arbiters, and post the results in ooc for your opponent. I'll post an example in this post. Also, Samourai Jack didn't know your match was up, so he should be here soon.
For ooc tags, type exactly what I'm typing below, but take out the "Xs" in the brackets.
[oocx] This will turn blue [/oocx]
For spoilers, do it like this, but again, take out the Xs.
[xspoiler=Arbiter] This text will appear in spoiler tags. [/spoilerx]
So you would do this...
Then say--my Init was a 24. Yours? Etc, etc.
Good luck to you both!
Samurai-Jack |
Description: The dark-haired lithe man enters the arena smoothly and calmly, wearing A full Black lacquered O-yoroi armor. A Red Oni Mask is hiding his face. The light catches small bits of metal shining on the armor. He surveys the crowd briefly with a glance before turning to his opponent and bowing. He holds a parchment in one hand and a Katana & Wakizashi are in their scabbard hanging from his waist. A few spears are slung over one shoulder in a quiver. A banner with Clan colors is attached to the back of the armor

I know we're both Kensai, but your description sounds an awful lot like Shigeharu's
Plagiarism police! ;-)
Arbiter Mbauers |
yup about 50% as i copied your whole character sheet so send you a proper formated crunch. :) (why waste a good work when you can recycle after all aren't we supposed to do something for the environment ? (evil laughter...)
Samurai Jack's just an environmentalist, I get it, hehe. You might want to PM Napju if you haven't already, see if he's ready to get into the fray.
Napju'Mme |
Ok.. sorry daily life disasters ;D
Furiously the goblin wastes no time, running full speed with club in hand towards the lithe, dark-haired man.
Edit I see this isn't possible to take 5foot and full move.. I make a full move action (since I can run(x3) to C11 if that is ok, if not then to E11.
