AP or Module for Heavy RP

Advice

Starting a PF game with some family members. The majority are not big gamers and are more interested in the RP aspect then the numbers and dice rolling. Anyone have any suggestion for modules or APs that are especially good for story and role playing?
I have copies of Jade Reagent and Carrion Crown that I havent played yet, but would pick up another AP (not RotRL or Serpant Skull or Kingmaker or Shattered star which im already playing/played with a different group) or module if well recommended.

Grand Lodge

Jade Regent.

care to expand on that?

To be honest any AP can be modified to allow for whatever kind of the game the group wants to play. APs more or less simply set up a series of related events that culminate in the end. They aren't by any means meant to be considered whole or complete or even untouchable/changeable. The GM is supposed to fill in any missing gaps to fit the group. Some dialogue may be rewritten but by far and large they're more of a starting point than anything else. Some people enjoy playing them strictly as what they are and others almost rewrite the entire thing and simply use APs as idea-generators that come prepackaged with a congruent story. YMMV.

Relationship Rules.

Relationship Rules.

To expand on that, Jade Regent has a set of rules based around your relationships (romantic or otherwise) with certain NPCs. I believe said NPCs remain with the party for the entire AP, giving you ample opportunity for roleplaying with them. I'm not certain how much roleplaying with other NPCs there is though.

Kingmaker should be excellent for it, as long as you're willing to work with it and allow it to move at its own pace.

I've done lots of GMing in the past, this is just a very different group than my normal "KILL EVERYTHING AND LOOT THE BODIESS!!!!!!!" group. I know that i could do more RP in any module/AP, was just looking for advice on ones that easily lend them selves to it.
I'll have a read through of jade reagent's first AP.

I think the first two books of Council of Thieves would fit this purpose very well. The game is city based, and there is a very alternative dungeon/plot.

Does it have to be a prewritten adventure?
Otherwise, my experience is generelly that making a RP heavy game (where the PCs' choices affect the game more) is easier (and require less work) in a homebrew campaign.

Yea, i thought about doing a home brew, but i'm already running one with my other group, and 2 home brew at once just seemed like a bit too much work :P

Council of Thieves is a good one for a RP group. Its purely urban, and the structure of some of the books pretty much require some RP.

Kingmaker is the only adventure path I've played, and it would be easy to tone down the combats so you can spend more time role-playing. Living in a city where the rulers (the characters) hold court has the potential for almost limitless role-play. There are many RP opportunities outside of that too. If combat is of limited interest to your party, I imagine the kingdom building mechanic that is part of Kingmaker could be fun for them.

Beautifully put, and the reasons I recommended it. :)

With all due respect, I could not disagree more. I GM'd it up until about book 5 and by then my group couldn't take it anymore. It's a complete railroad from the moment of around the endish of book 1 to that point. It's a point to point travelling adventure and there is very little provision made for RP. There was such a dearth of interesting roleplaying encounters that I inserted a whole thing about an Ice Dwarf and Ice Elf kingdoms and the Jade Regent doing some political brinksmanship.

It turned out to be their favorite part because it was something else than go to A, Fight Monster B, collect loot Z and move on to next encounter.

Jade Regent is in my mind, not appropriate if you are looking for an RP heavy game, relationship rules aside. It is if you and your players are fine with a caravan journey across vast distances to a cool foreign land. Jumping off the rails not allowed, and everybody being okay with that.

Legacy of Fire seems to have a lot of RP for a campaign I wanted to run for my rollplaying-focused party...

Of course, a commoner campaign would have a lot of RP too... What shopkeeper would want combat? You can get killed that way!

Council of Thieves is very RP heavy, I highly recommend it

Kingmaker is my recommendation, for all the reasons already mentioned above. Council of Thieves also has a lot of potential for this, if your players are of the right mindset.

Jade Regent starting with we be goblins is a lot of role playing family fun. I just mined the king maker AP for extra caravan encounters-(put Olegs and the Staglord in the Nolands ect). Its up to your players to bring the role playing element to the game especially if they have a set path to take. As a GM its fun mimicking the Scandi/Asian accents over the journey. My players are also role playing the fish out of water scenarios with the various culture clashes in the AP.
