I thought it would be closer to the different X Shape/Form/etc spells... And neither Sprite or Atomie have -10 str (granted Sprite get -8).
In the ARG, Small has no bonus or penalty, and Tiny only has -2 STR and +2 DEX... Unless this got errata'ed.
Unless I'm missing something?
I get the impression it's not easy to annoy Jason (I guess a string of rules questions followed by more rules questions might make the mighty dragon a bit peeved), but you didn't actually ask him a question second time around.
On Topic: What's the most embarrassing thing you can share with us that you did when you were younger?

No.. you are correct. Those are the rules in the ARG. The numbers I tossed out there were based purely on the reduction of stats for creatures who change size category. If I were using the ARG system, I'd probably go with something more like -6 Str, +4 Dex, -2 Con for Diminutive, but that is just an off the cuff guess.

Nah... its not easy to annoy me. I've developed quite the tough skin just reading these boards..
As for embarrassing thing.. I am waiting to hear back from Pathetic Geek Stories before I share.. I am hoping they have an archive. (+2 nerd points if anyone knows what I am talking about... yes, one of my stories was featured in one and ran in the Onion many years ago).

Favourite architect currently alive and active?
I was trained during the tail end of the post modern period, so that had a big influence on my preference for architecture, but these days I really like what I am seeing with shifts in materials and form. I generally like architecture that pushes boundaries and does what most would consider impractical at best.
Back in school.. if we went too crazy our instructors would say "you are not Frank Gehry".. only these days, its seems like we are seeing more and more of his style of artform made into architecture. Unfortunately, most of it seems to be overseas, where people still put money into architecture, instead of just demanding function over form and budget over art.
As for my favorite historical style, I would have to go with expressionism, although that is really more of an interest than favorite.
Alas, for modern architects, I really have not been keeping up, so I am a at a bit of a loss on that one.

Our rogue seems to get hit pretty hard when he finally gets into posn for a flank. I suggested Resiliency, Defensive Roll , etc, but he is reluctant due to the fact each can be used just once a day. Now, I am not in agreement with the current board meme that “teh rouge is suxxor’, but he does tend to spend too much time out of combat, lying there, bleeding out. The other rogue died.
Could you consider making these more times per day? Or even like a Sorcerers bloodline “3+ xx Modifier/day”. I think that if several Rogue talents were usable more often, it would give a nice but small boost to this fun but underappreciated class.

Well, I dont think we will be rewriting the way those work at any point in the near future, I think I might consider giving the rogues some ways to get some extra use out of those abilities...
Now as to where.. that is the tricky part.

Hi Jason! I'm playing a paladin/cavalier with a griffon mount and this question about the Ride-By Attack feat vs the Flyby Attack feat came up ... is Flyby Attack supposed to be essentially the flying version of Ride-By Attack? Most folks think yes (myself included) BUT the actual text of the feats seem to say the exact opposite thing:
Ride-By Attack (Combat)
While mounted and charging, you can move, strike at a foe, and then continue moving.
Prerequisites: Ride 1 rank, Mounted Combat.
Benefit: When you are mounted and use the charge action, you may move and attack as if with a standard charge and then move again (continuing the straight line of the charge). Your total movement for the round can't exceed double your mounted speed. You and your mount do not provoke an attack of opportunity from the opponent that you attack.
Flyby Attack
This creature can make an attack before and after it moves while flying.
Prerequisite: Fly speed.
Benefit: When flying, the creature can take a move action and another standard action at any point during the move. The creature cannot take a second move action during a round when it makes a flyby attack.
Normal: Without this feat, the creature takes a standard action either before or after its move.
Ride-By Attack is clearly move-attack-move again
Flyby Attack's wording actually seems to imply attack-move-attack
Thanks!!!

I dont want to get in the habit of answerings rules questions here, but the flavor text on flyby attack is in error. The benefit text is the correct text. And yes, it is different than ride by attack.
To confirm, the wording that confuses me here is the "another standard action" bit. It sounds like instead of the normal budget of one standard and one move action per turn, it gives you one standard action as part of your move action, plus another standard action before or after (but that standard action cannot be used to trade out for another move), which basically agrees with the flavor text but is not how I would assume the ability is meant to work; I would assume normally it just means that you can take your standard action in the middle of your move.
So you're saying the intended effects are:
Rideby: Only on a charge, you can make the charge attack at any point beyond the three squares needed for charge and then continue moving in a straight line up to an overall total of your charge distance (i.e. twice your move speed)
Flyby: On a normal move, you can stop your move at any point and make your standard action, and then resume the move up to the full normal move distance (not double)
Does that sound right?
Sorry, this is kind of crunchy, but the question is judt a double-check confirm/deny what you already said or I'd move it to rules

So we don't muck up this thread with any further talk on this subject, I made a thread HERE about it.

Good! Not only would this help out the rogue a little, those are such cool abilities its a shame to see them so little used or taken.
Hmm, how about a talent or feat that gives extra uses to a once a day talent? Or a hard to kill rogue archetype?
Perhaps a trait that gives one extra use?

Jason, how do magic weapon special qualities, such as flaming or shock, work with a net? Are they damaged on the initial attack or each round the creature is entangled?
If you were to your own brand of beer, what type would it be? Any distinct flavour?
Any plans to put your office within a labrynth?

As for the net... only the first time, if at all (I am trying to find rules precedent for weapons that don't deal damage and damaging special qualities).
As for my own brand of beer, I already have one. I homebrew on a regular basis. As for distinct flavors, right now I think I am just trying to get consistency in batches... its tricky work.
Our office is not much of a labyrinth... although you can get lost in the warehouse.

Every now and then I'm reminded of how unusual I am by the fact that I'm briefly surprised and confused when someone answers "Favorite pizza?" with just a list of toppings.
Ha.. well, if you actually mean "type of pizza".. then I would have to go with ordinary pan crust... although I can appreciate a good thin and deep dish (chicago style.. where one slice is a meal).

I swore of Papa Johns a while back in favor of locally owned pizza places. For me, I like my pizza sauce tangy, but not overly so.
I swore off Papa Johns after reviewing what I think was the seventh sexual harassment/sexual assault claim filed against that business. I see a lot of weird things that I can't unsee at my job.

No anchovies?!
Heretics!
Anyway, page 112 CRB under feat prerequisites, it says "A character can gain a feat at the same level at which he gains the prerequisite."
Does that indicate a player can hold off taking a feat until he can qualify for it?
Since you like Anchovies so much.. why dont you ask them your rules questions!!!

Anway... You cannot hold off taking a feat. That clause just means that you can take a feat at the same time you gain the prerequisites for it, such as BAB or enough levels in a certain class.
